  1. I am in the same boat RB20det with standard turbo. I have had an RB20 with an RB25 turbo before and it is a good thing but 180 to 195 is the best you can get out of them. If you want 210 to 230 a 2530 is the go. I have found it really hard to find one and am now looking at other options. Is there a Disco Potato available for the RB20 in the same pattern? If not I will be going a hiflow like every man and his dog. because it will bolt straight on and look stock. Are there any other turbos that are suited to the 20 other than 2510, 2530, td06 20g?
  2. fuel starvation at the pump end, Your fuel pump has possible fallen out of the cradle or you micht have some crap stuck on it. VERY bad for your engine. because it will lean out and go BANG!!! Drive very carefully untill the tank is bone dry and inspect the fuel tank.
  3. I have replaced 3 turbos all at home with low quality tools. all had a siezed bolt or 2. Lots of crc leave the car for 1/2 hour then try. sometimes a quick hard tap on the side of the spanner to get it unstuck.
  4. I just called ACT rego and they told me to just go to any authorised inspection station and get it stamped then take all that stuff into a canberra connect office to pay rego
  5. Why did you have to go to Dickson to get inspected? According to the ACT RTA site all you need to do is visit an authorised inspection station and then pay for your rego. I am in the process of buying a car from NSW and it has rego in NSW for 10 months. I want to cash what there is left of rego in nsw and re register it in the ACT. but when I checked on the rego site all it said is take it to an authorised inspection station and get it pinkslipped and then pay at the act shopfront.
  6. Keep your R33 and enjoy it... You only live once. What is a few $$$ in the big picture. I know when I am 65 I will not care I will look back and say that I enjoyed every muinite of being young and all the stuff that went along with it. Fast cars included
  7. halfway under the car.... I am guessing your car is an auto If this is correct it sounds like you have a hole in your transmission sump and that is a bad thing as your transmission will be bleeding and running with no fluid in it. Get it to a mechainc quick smart. and ask to inspect any of the damage before he goes ahead and fixes it. If I am right you will need a new transmission sump.

  13. sup dudes... Sellling as a young one will be driving it and don't want it wrapped around a tree. I have just spent about $2,000 on maintenence hehe sad wallett. Would really prefer she goes to someone who is a nissan fan. reflecting all I have just spent on it I think $7,000 is a fair price or $6,500 so someone who owns a laurel or ceff hint hint
  14. I have welded one of the smashed locknuts to the top of my toolbox as a reminder so every time I go to reach for a tool I remember that no job is a small one and plan every stage of a task... That and If there were no thives locknuts would not have been invented.

  16. Well I got them off... 4 hours it took. Step 1. Smash finger with hammer and swear alot. Step 2. drill the studs out Step 3. smash locknuts with cold chisel to split them Step 4. drink 4 energy beers
  17. As my toolbox was stolen my locknut key went with it and I can not find a replacement nut anywhere. I took the car to a tyre place and they tried to hammer a socket onto the locknut and get it off. it failed. I tried my self when I got home, tried all sizes and can not get a grip. 4 sockets and a broken index finger later (no I am not kidding) it is still siezed on and will not move. the tyre place where i originally got them put on appear to have put them on with a rattlegun so they are torqued down so hard. they are now mashed a bit. I am so angry I almost took a hammer to the car and feel like setting fire to it. This is one of those times I really need to know how to get the damn nut off.

  20. Nice work on getting the VH41DE. What sort of Gearbox did it come with? Auto or manual? and what sort of box will you be using? do you plan on modding the engine or running it stock? How much will it set you back to cet the new engine in and running in the car? Is your other R31 with the RB30DE for sale

I got pulled over in my ceff 2 years ago for for being very "enthusiastic" thru a roundabout. read down change, clutch kick and full throttle sideways action 270 degrees around the roundabout. the cop was parked on the side of the road on the exit i pulled into. I drove past him and he gave chase and hit the lights so i pulled over and pooed my pants. I told him I had a momentary lapse of judgement and was sorry for being silly. He warned me and said if he saw me again it was ticket time. He then asked me what sort of car it was and said it looked nice and it would be a shame to wrap it round a tree . My ceff was black and very low on coilovers 4" exhaust massive frontmount boost, temp and pressure guages, raised bonnet and helmet and fire extinguisher in the back seat. That was the only attention I got in it othertimes it didn't even get a look in by the cops. Go Cefiro Powah.... best imports ever
  24. Hey ceffy peoples I ma selling my Gloria and thought 4 doorers would appreciate it. It is a really cheap alternative to a Ceff or Laurel. Same age, same power, pimpin looks and really low K's. This car is really unique. there are only about 1/2 dozen glorias in aus and mine has all the goods.
