R33 Fuel Economy. 300km On 50 Liters
CEF11E replied to WogsRus's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have a fairly stock R32. mods catback FMIC boostcontroller set to 14psi ECU remapped (not fuel map jst timing map) I get 450km to a full tank (65 litres) and that is flogging it atleast once daily. If my wife drives it all week she will get 500k just. I can drive to sydney and back on a tank. (about 560k's) sorry I know this dosen't help. just offering a comparrison. -
alrighty you jave garrett housings both compressor and turbine your compressor housing is A/R 60 your turbine housing has a bolted on wastegate adapter plate. so it goes: Garrett Turbine housing/Captive wastegate plate adapter/Dump pipe. I would give GCG a call and ask them what sort of dump suits. Alternativly take off the dump pipe and trace the flange on paper and get the shape. The only thing is you will prob need to get one custom made as it will be to long if you use a pre fabbed one Looks like a fairly large turbine housing too

Hi All I have just had a mongoose M80 installed in my car. I got it installed with dual stage shock sensor and a glass breakage sensor. I am not really hoppy with the place that installed it and do not have complete confidence in them. The alarm goes off for no reason (while in my locked garage) I took it back and they adjusted the sensors and it is still going off all the time. Also they wanted a rediculous ammount of money to put an actuator in the drivers door so I decided I will do that bit myself. they did not even plug in the harness for central locking so I have 2 questions. 1. do I need a master or slave actuator? the alarm has central locking relays already... what are the wires I need to run to the door from the C/L loom and where can i buy an actuator? 2. how can I diagnose why the alarm is goin off all the time. Thanks in advance

Car Alarm Who Can Recomend A Place?
CEF11E replied to CEF11E's topic in Australian Capital Territory
just got back from the place in question, they remounted all the wiring and brain, set up the sensors again and were polite and helpful. We will see how it goes... if it keeps going off in the middle of the night I am going to be pissed off. -
Car Alarm Who Can Recomend A Place?
CEF11E replied to CEF11E's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Yeah, I am not really keen on slandering a business here regardless of their dealings. They have offered to have a look at the shonky work, so I give them credit for that. However driving the car yesterday ging around the corner a bundle of alarm wires and the brain fell from under the steering column and landed on the floor. the whole alarm will need to be rewired. -
Ebay's Increase Your Hp.... Will This Actually Work?
CEF11E replied to O.I.C Napster's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I have used resistors n series with an AFM to lean out the entire rev range on a car running really rich and it does work. IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!! you are playing with matches and a tin of petrol using this. just pluging it in and hoping for the best. you will F&%k your engine. Who knows what resistance value is? what is the ratio it will alter the VQ map at according to the ECU? Will the car cold start correctly? Will it stall coming to a quick stop? Will it ping it's tits off under boost? stupid money making scam. end rant. -
Car Alarm Who Can Recomend A Place?
CEF11E replied to CEF11E's topic in Australian Capital Territory
I got a new alarm and paid a premium for it. Also went to a reputable auto electrician to get it fitted and paid $225 to have it fitted. (not including door actuator) Things they did not do. 1. put my interior back togeather properly 2. connect up the siren!!!!! 3. connect up the bonnet or boot switch 4. connect up the central locking loom they explained yje fact that they did not install the siren. because I did not want it in the normal place. so I went home and installed that myself and all was good untill I reallised they did not connect up the boot OR bonnet switches.. I mean FFS... who does not connect these up. Neither did they install the central locking hookup. Also the alarm went off randomly lastnight for no reason while the car was in a locked garage. leading to the fact that it is probably not installed properly... Called them this morning and they told me they don't usually connect up the boot switch because it takes too long. they did not tell me that... did not even offer to fix it. and will not look at it for atleast a day. I am not even going to take the car back there as I do not trust them, it is just wasted money... I could have done a better job myself. I fuc^$n hate shonky car places. -

this thread is like 9 months old guys, don't think it is for sale anymore..........

hehe... I have just put the standard airbox and filter back on my skyline. I have owned 4 Imports and all have hod pods with CAI boxed but have never used the stock airbox. All I can say is DAMN it is quiet with the stock airbox/filter. I will be modding the box to fit a pod in it and a cold air intake feeding the bottom of the box.
