1, not an r32 turbo (different inlet to the comp cover 2, not r33 turbo same as above 3, not cefiro turbo same as above The only nissan turbos that look like that with a bolt pattern on the comp cover like that are Z32 twins, gtr twins, and s13, s14, s15 turbos. As it has lines pointing to the front of the housing and such a small dump it looks like it is off a V shaped engine. I will bet a sixpack it is a Z32 turbo that came off a VG30DETT. useless for your car...

Can anyone tell me where to get one of these bus BOV's? and is there an adaptor to fit them to my laser turbo?
-
Inspection mirror and a torch form repco get underneath the car and lookup at the turbo closest to the front of the car cheers!

I have been in an R32 with a RB20DE with a toyota 1ggze supercharger running 13psi. It had a suprisingly large ammount of punch off the mark and good midrange power... If you want to keep it cheap and can do the work yourself, Take off the head and get it decked to raise the compression to close to 10:1 and get some good extractors and a toyota supercharger. (sc16?) It will only put out 170rwkw. but with a really nice torque curve. Then if you want more power to the ground at lower revs put an auto diff ratio in:) http://www.rodshop.com.au/superchargerb30.htm have a look at the link above and it might give you a few ideas Good luck

That is a well massive exhaust wheel... souuld see plenty of top end. Hope it is not a lagmonster I also hope you don't really kick cats

There are good and bad points about both... I have had 2 cars remapped. Case no 1. RB20DET cefiro with usual mods. gained 26rwkw throughout most of the useable power range. Remap cost me $250 + $120 for the dyno time... so $370 all up.... Case no 2. Auto car with bigger turbo (no power fc made for the car) did'nt want to spend $2000 for an ECU. Gained approx 20rwkw, removed speed cut, removed TP limit, better fuel economy... Cost. $100 for an eprom burner, $25 for a UV eraser... I did all the tuning myself and have learned a lot in the process... I can offer the following advice. If you are going to get a rempa get EVERYTHING you want to mode done BEFORE the remap. and if you have a good tuner and don't plan on modding the car further it is an excellent option. If you are going to continue to mod the car and want a flexible system get the power FC... But be prepared to pay $1700 before have it back on the road... With a good EPROM tuner you will get excellent power from the standard ECU. There is neumorous GTR'S running 1000rwhp running the standard remapped ECU in japan. they have been doing it there for 15 years and have it down to a fine art. Hope this helps

I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
CEF11E replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
IT is a fantastic device..... It is called a boost guage. you can buy cheap pnumatic ones for less than $40. If you dont want to spend that much you shouldn't really be playing with your boost -
Insurance companies will only cover the damage, not replacement for the whole set. Go to a tyre place and get a quote for the repair/replacement and forward to to your insurance company.

hehe miss the cefiro I had 195 with 14psi and 204rwkw with 17psi (never ran that due to ceramic wheel) but i had a list of supporting mods as long as my arm... I rate the RB25 as a great turbo have just bolted one to a vg20det and am getting a little more than 200 with it and lots of methanol/water. sorry off topic I think the RB25 turbo will produce 10rwkw less than the S15 turbo on any given RB20 That is if you did a power run with the rb25 turb, swapped the s15 turbo on with an adapter and did another power run.

can't wait... the more of these movies they make the more lasers and mirages you see with HKS stickers and monster tacho's... and more old people that hate our cars...

Mine is a 1989 Y31 gloria sedan with a VG20DET tuned up and lightly modded. click the link in my sig for some information and photos

hehe another gloria it looks suspiciously like my window.... contact zac from slidewize imports. he can find one for you on the yahoo japan auctions mmmmmm gloria love...

It would help if you told us where you are.....

I agree. with the above. I have a set on my car and they are fine fir daily drivivg but as soon as they get hot they squeal and flex. If I had a GTR I wouldn't put them on if i had a choice. Even the Falken cheapies are better than the nankang... hope this helps cheers

I like it... Find the biggest capacity nissan 6, then turbocharge it, then put it into the lighest chassis possible. should be a lot of fun and tail happy. Hope the weight balance is OK. you are a champion for inventing such a car...

Circlip Height Adjustment
CEF11E replied to neil_se's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Is there anything else bearing the load of the spring tension and the car weight? and has anyone had a circlip come off or break? -
Adjustable Ride Height
CEF11E replied to (OO_The4door_OO)'s topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
sounds like a lot of expese for little gain. Yes it may have its applications. But for the cost I think most will give it a miss. I would rather spend the same $3000 on a set of properly matched struts and springs that are the right ride height for daily road use and still be acceptable for spirited driving. don't take my word as a put off. there are plenty of people out there who would like another gadget in ther car despite the cost. Goodluck with it -
To much messing around to do the swap. If you want a really CHEAP upgrade, Get the exhaust housing of a VG30DET turbo and put it on your RB25 turbo. that will allow you to get to 200~210rwkw. Cheers. VG30det turbos are getting hard to come by. ring EKW in melbourne they may be able to help. The housing will bolt to your turbo and dump with ZERO mods and will make full boost 200 rpm later than your current RB25 turbo. Don't boost it past 14psi tho... ceramic bomb

same... nathan has a good machine and his prices are very good. Also top bloke. he is in Leichhardt

I have been having problems with my HKS underwear. the prolem is constant shaft play and blowby. and it leads to a horribly rich mixture...

Rebuilt Single Vg30 Turbo (1000kms)
CEF11E replied to mr_rbman's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey champ, what exactly was rebuilt? does it still have the original ceramic exhaust wheel? were the bearings replaced? just a bit more info needed... -
I have a freind living in japan and he is nice enough to buy stuff over there and ship it to me. but neither of us have shipped stuff here before so a little help would be appreciated. I need a set of coilovers and have found a set i want to but but i have no idea how much freight will be. can someone let me know who to send them thru and how much it is likely to cost. the coilovers are only $300 so if freight isn't to much i shouldn't get slugged tax. Also I am not in a super hurry for them so sea freight might be ok but if air freight isn't too much that would be great. Thanks dudes

I used your old fuel pump as a pickup pump in my tank Abo bob. It's working a treat . I will do a writeup on the meth kit as soon as I get some concrete results and I have been running it for a few weeks. I had to rewrite an eprom to suit after the meth kit was fitted as the AFR's were to rich running a mix of 50/50. Before fitting the meth kit I was making 154RWKW with 10psi and bugger all timing(as i had no intercooler and i didn't want to risk pinging) and after fitting it I am running 14psi with 10+ deg more timing and making 204RWKW. I am really supprised at the power level as it's a stock rb25 turbo. But the dyno operator said it was to do with the massively increased timing and higher octane. BTW there is no sign of knock at all. I am really pushing the envelope and may drop the timing back and reduce the boost a little in the colder weather as my AFM is reading 4.0V at WOT over 7000RPM... injector duty cycle is also getting into the mid 80's. I am injecting using a 2.75US gallon hago oil burner nozzle @ 110psi. I am in the process of setting up an intake temp probe and some other bits. But I am really happy with the performance... -

Thanks TT and CC but i am in Canberra now I will be buying a stock BOV as it should really have one anyway. If that dosen't fix the problem i will cross that bridge when I come to it. I just increased my timing by +3 deg from 4000 to 4900 (change point into second when flooring it) and it has helped the situation but it dosen't hit like a hammer when going into 2nd. As this may be useful information to others I will keep this updated when I have added the BOV.
