  1. I am just cleaning up some old stuff that might be of some use to someone. RB20DET Actuator, holds more boost than RB25 actuator, perfect working condition $25 RB25DET turbo elbow, the peice that comes off the turbo, everyone seems to be looking for one of these $20 R31 skyline fuelpump working $10 Y31 VG30DET fuelpump working $15 All parts are in sydney and can be picked up or posted to you cheers dudes
  2. turst me... you DO want side intrusion bars... When they save your life you will be happy just get the kit for like $300 you will be happy that you did
  3. you can't have super happy fun without 4 doors... where would you put all the biautches...... looks really nice
  4. I have been using vortex98 for the last few tanks and fuel economy is exactly the same. The car does pull harder in 2nd and 3rd!! I was suprised but my car runs better on vortex98 than ultimate or optimax.
  5. yes the VL's cooling system is not so good. I have seen a car go through 2 heads in a year!!!
  6. I have seen that car before. you bive in or bought it from the leichhardt area right? you will never be able to register it if you are really going to put a6.4 or 6.7lt V8 in it. Also I hope you only like going in a straight line because it is going to corner like shit with a cast iron V8 over the front wheels...
  7. r31 powah...
  8. project pics or ban
  9. rb in silvia = bad weight balance
  10. twincharging would be cool... I drove a twincharged mr2 20V frankenstien. 1.6 litre bottom end, 20 valve head, hiflowed ct26 turbo, 4agze supercharger. the cool thing about it was at 1000rpm the supecharger would kick in and you felt like you were hitting full boost, just when you thought it would level out, then the turbo hit full boost at 4500 and christ! hang on... Scared the shit outta me. the car weighed bout 900kg and put out 189rwkw twincharging the rb20 would give you great bottomend/midrange. the plumbing would be a bit of a headache tho:)
  11. the supercharger won't make the power you want. if your current setup seems laggy (2530) on a rb20. buy a rb25de, use the bottomend and head but all your sensors, pfc, fuel rail, injectors, turbo. basically everything even youe cams from the 20 in the 25. you can pick up a rb25de for like $900. and you should be able to get 250rwkw with much less lag. A good supercharger will cost at least 2g plus 1g worth of fabrication.... "there is no replacement for displacement" sorry my dad allways says that to me
  12. you can buy turbos for 150 cc engines for model aircraft. also there was a jap compant building a twin turbo setup for some 500cc jap bikes in the 90s
  13. yes we all saw fast and the furious....
  14. my host ate them and i don't have a copy of them anywhere sorry
  15. Its only worth what someone is willing to spend on it. If early 20s kids hafe 30g to spend then its worth that. but unfortunatly they dont. so you should get 20g for it. considerng all the goodies.
  16. 280 odd kilowatts sounds like waaaay to much for standard turbos... N1s perhaps? highflows?
  17. can you post the link to the kit? We hooked up a system a few years ago to a honda scooter. The system was a fire extinguisher full of nitrous, a second fuel line coming from the tank, a solanoid and a pair of fogger nozzels. cost about $150 to make and it was a 30hp shot (used NXexpress fogger 30hp nozzles) you would hit it at 60 and loose the backend, If you hit it on launch it would wheelstand... 50hp shot sounds like 30hp too much for a pocket bike. prepare for a piston in the ass...
  18. my attempt looked like that aswell. 2 hours of swearing and a trip to nissan later i was sorted. Hows the rebuild going? when does it go back in the car?
  19. better going to the datsun forums mate.
  20. hehe passengers don't like being stabbed...
  21. I repaired all the damage and kept it. Or at least kept it for a few months. none of the damage was permanent and the car was 100% when i sold it. I would have kept it for a few years but the buying of a house stopped that bit of fun...
  22. A bit of info for prospective buyers. Tom has covered every aspect of this car. Since he has had it he has gone over it with a fine toothed comb and fixed every single thing on this car with no expense spared. He is an honest guy and will tell you everything about the car. I have driven the car and it is the tightest, toughest feeling machine to drive. Boost comes on quick, brakes are excellent, steering and suspension are direct and very precise. It is a very tough car. Tom I wish you wern't selling it. But to who ever is interested in this car it will not fail to please. you will need a grinectomy after going for a ride in it. It is not a show pony. It looks serious and goes even more serious...
  23. don't give up. had my car stolen about a year ago and it turned up 3 weeks later. it was dumped and had suffered a few thousand worth of parts stolen and a scratch here and there. But i got it back. I guess i was very lucky, but it can happen.
  24. The oil galleries are spotless, there is no residue at all and yes it is not ball bearing However these are a good strong turbo and will perform with almost no lag on a 2.5~3.0 litre engine. they are fairly laggy on the RB20 but make a heap of power up top [edit] SOLD TO MANWHOR3 FOR $250 [edit]
