  1. both r33 and r34 have the same size turbine wheels. they also have the same size compressor wheels. However series 1 R33 has an alloy compressor wheel where as the series 2 r33 and r34 have nylon compressor wheels. cheers
  2. I think it looks awsome. The R34 lights, the BA lights, the widebody and all... If it was mine i would have the bonnett sprayed all blue tho. the car is not worth 49G. thats crazy talk... 25G is more like it.
  3. Done and Done!! I have some High quality cardboard and some slightly used gaffa tepe and a photo of a statesman rear. I know where your car is parked. I will do it when you are not there and call it my cristmas present to you.
  4. someone cut and paste the text from the damn article so we can all read it!!!!
  5. thanks Abo Bob, didnt want to bother you guess i will be fitting it today, Cheers mate
  6. The pump on the Left is the one i think is the R34 gtt pump and has thepart number: UNISIA JECS A42H24 000 FAFB100 9530N The other pump is an R31 pump (not the pump i am currently using but the same size) the one i am using is not regulated like the R31 pump in the photo
  7. Hi guys, i am sorry i really don't like asking stupid questions but i searched and found nothing. 1. Does an R34Gtt have more than one fuel pump? or does it use a single pump? The reason i ask is i have one here and was going to fit to my car but after taking my pump out, I noticed it is about 60% smaller then the pump that is already in the tank. The pump i already have is the same size physically as an R31 pump. and the R34gtt pump is tiny in comparrison. So if someone can confirm that the R34Gtt only uses a single pump, and that it is a really small looking pump that would be great cheers!!! once again, sorry for the really stupid question.
  8. looks like its in good nick... definatly VG30.
  9. they will do exactly what you want Brad pm sent... 3 left
  10. if it has been sitting for a while and not done any moving and its only at idle i would be pointing the finger at the bearings inside the turbo. I would take off the intake pipe and see if the shaft spins freely and check it for shaft play. if it seems ok. I would take off the oil supply line and pour about 100ml of fresh oil the same as what you are currently using into the supply line hole. and give the shaft a few good spins for a minite or so. connect the supply line back up and the intake and start the car (you can drain 100 odd ml from the sump if needed) sometimes if a turbo is hot when last run and then it sits for a long period the oil inside the bearings semi solidifies. I think this may be your problem. hope this helps.
  11. Noice, When does boost start and when do you get 14 psi by? Looks like i am hunting for a damn VG30 rear housing too now
  12. Speak to a guy on these forums called toshi He remaps rb25 ecu's. This means he will write a new map for your standard computer so you will retain factory auto settings. cost is something like $300 + dyno time from memory he has done heaps of ECUs and knows what he is doing Cheers:)
  13. OK there are 4 left.. and these will be the last so get in quick!
  14. I can help you... STOP STREET RACING YOU FU#%ING DIC$HEAD... it is dangerous stupid. if you want to go fast take your car out to the track thats what its for. you are not going to impress anyone with your small penis or stupidity
  15. turbo sold to me! check your PM rowan
  16. Its actually going on a VG20det and replacing the standard VG20det turbo. and yes the auto sucks! I have had a RB20det cefiro with the following turbos. RB20turb - putting out 154rwkw RB25series1turb - putting out 179rwkw RB25 series 1 turbo with VG30 exhaust housing putting out 204rwkw I will take some pics and measurements of the VG20det turbo when it comes off.
  17. Thanks for the heads up Cubes, Ok I will start hunting for a VG30DET or R34 turbine housing with "op6" written on it. Is the R33 and R34 compressor housings and wheel the same size? I know the R34 comp wheel is polypropelene and the R33 is an alloy but are they the same size?
  18. with a FPR you will get 200. 220 will not happen with the stockers.
  19. All these turbos have the same size exhaust wheel. exhaust housings differ in size Here is a list of smallest to biggest exhaust housing. RB20det VG20det RB25det VG30det Compressor covers in order of smallest to largest: RB20det VG20det VG30det RB20det The compressor wheels are all different sizes meaning we must keep a wheel with its original compressor cover.. What is the best combination? I was thinking a complete RB25 turbo with a VG30 exhaust housing. So it will in effect it will be a VG30 turbo with a RB25 compressor and compressor cover and therefore produce more airflow for the same shaftspeed... Is this correct? The aim is to produce a turbo that will provide enough airflow for a 2litre engine to produce 170odd rwkw at 11psi. And no a RB25 turb won't do it as have one on the car ATM and it makes 149rwkw with auto transmission. manual would make more. Has anyone done a rb25 front with a VG30 rear? if so please post your results:)
  20. Have you guys got a link? I am after a new turbs and that is half the price of some of the ones i have been considering
  21. People DO get fines for this. I know of a $3200 fine. happend to someone i know at small car sunday one year. The police were there inspecting cars. All they were checking was ride height and exhausts. they let everyone off with a warning except for those with environmental issues. I think there were 3 cars fined in total and one was for no catalytic converter. BE WARNED!!!! There is a guy on these forums called BATMBL and he sells very good quality cats for a good price. Check to see if your O2 sensor is connected. and if so you shouldnt be melting cats. I would have the AFRs checked if a hack has tuned it. Take it to somewhere reputable and for $50 they should do a power run to check AFRs. goodluck and replace that cat ASAP
  22. With running the RB25 AFMs, What sort of ECU are you running? if you are running the standard ECU without any extra calibration (SAFC or other) you will not get it to run. However I would be guessing you are running a PFC?, if so have you selected the correct AFM's on the PFC? hope this helps...
  23. I think that has something to do with it. Also as you said, its all about education. Seeming as most skyliners prefer jap performance, they will buy jap products. Better the devil you know sort of logic. I am sure with some more exposure the Xede will find it's way into many skylines, especially when the price goes down.
  24. The Xede is a really nice peice of hardware and can bend any input you can throw at it. it would be a really nice product if it was around $500. But the reason i dont think it is so popular is for the $900 odd pricetag, a PFC, wolf V4 or a number of ECU's can nearly be had. I have seen one on an XR6T controlling ignition, fuel map and a methanol spray kit. they are a great product but for skylines they are entering a saturated market.
