nuR.spec, Mate you should give him his money back... this sort of behavior really sucks.... I don't know either of you but god for $100 dollars i wouldnt make any enemies. BTW that turbo is rooted anyways. There is a chip on the compressor fin. Did you know he was putting it on an RB25? if so, you did the wrong thing. if you like tell me to f#@k off... I just had to put in my 2c...

Nothing as yet. I am slowly obtaining all the bits to build a dedicated car for drift. I was sick of using my daily driver A31 Cefiro as a drift car. I was always breaking something on the track and having tien's in the car on the road didnt agree with me. plus i got sick of all the unwanted attention the car would get on the road. So I bought a daily driver and decided to slowly prep an R31 for drift. I havent even bought the car yet. All I have is engine and a few boxes of bits. The reason i did this is i wanted to see if it was possible. The R31 is going to have the following bits: R31 sedan RB20det with following support mods RX7 injectors Modified AFM R34 Gtt fuel pump Supra FMIC with waterspray kit RB25 turbo with to4 V trim wheel and bored out compressor cover remapped ECU + GTR clutch and pressure plate JIC folly ajustable coilovers and other suspension parts Welded or mini spool diff out of the automatic for closer ratio. This combo should get me to 200 rwkw and with a stripped interior i should be able to get the dry weight down to a shade under 1200Kgs. giving me a cheap and semi compedative drift machine. and providing i can pick up an R31 shell in reasonable condition for less than $1,000. I have a nice weekend toy for less than $5000.

It happens to anyone with a nice car. My freind has a current model M3 and about 2 years ago just after he bought it he got some waste of a human life scratch the word "SHIT" into the paint of his front bumper. he is very well off so the money didn't really bother him but the fact that someone defaced his property really annoyed him.

Ice Ice baby, Smoothe Criminal, Can't touch this, Pump up the volume, Push it, mabee throw in some 2Unlimited and Technotronic... Or if you are in a commonwhore, We built this city on rock n roll... I have a compilation of all 80's funky stuff in the car and it gets busted out when we are on our way out for a big night, I know its all old 80's grabage but it pust you in a good mood before you go out The chicks love it too

I had the pleasure of going to a wedding and sitting next to a bogan. I asked me if i was into cars and i said yes, So he starts telling me about His series II EB model Falcondore. He said those "skyliners" are jap crap and he has never been beaten by one, The japs just copy aussie cars and do a bad job of it. and get this.... Nissan stole the design of the VL engine and put it onto their "skyliner" I didn't say a word... You can take a man out of boganville, but you can't the bogan out of a man...

I haven't had a speeding ticket in 10 years, so no i don't race people on the streets at all. never have and never will. i do take my car to the track every other month. It's just to expensive and dangerous to race on the streets. When i was 18 a little girl ran infront of my car when i was doing 50k's... she didn't look where she was going, like all little kids. I was going less than the speed limit paying attention driving normally. I skidded and pulled onto the other side of the road almost into oncoming traffic and I missed her by less than 1 meter. If i had been going 1KM faster, I would have to live the rest of my life knowing i had injured or worse killed a little child. I saw the horror on her fathers face on the side of the road. I pulled over shaken and cried on the side of the road for 1/2 an hour... The father was in shock and told me that they had just been to hospital to see his wife having kemo treatment and his mind was somwhere else.. He said had it been someone driving a little faster she would have been dead. I think of this every single time I get the urge to go fast on the roads... Please take this seriously, Don't race on the roads...

I have no experience tuning roms so i cannot comment on tables. However the guy chipping the ecu for me has done diameter changes on AFM's before so i just have to take his experience as proof that it will work and he knows what he is doing. the car the AFM was tested on is my daily driver and is not going to use the AFM it was purely for testing.

Here is the finished [EXPERIMENTAL] afm. I have since discovered the afm om my car to be a diameter of 70mm NOT 80mm. The PVC pipe i used is 84mm. Here is what I did. connect a multimeter to my AFM output signal and drive the car monitoring the AFM voltage at certan load points in 3rd gear all the way up to 7000 rpm. noted the values and then repeated the tests with the 84mm AFM. Results are as follows. idle ofcorse was not stable as the car was not tuned for this afm, however it would hold an idle. at 3000 rpm the afm showed 1.0v difference at 4000 1.0v at 5000 1.2v at 6000 1.1v at 7000 0.8v maxing at 4.1v where as my standard AFM reaches 5.1v at 7000ish. I do not have a wide band 02 sensor but the car is running at ratio of 10:1 so I wasn't concerned about enging damage. the conclusion i have come to is, It's possible to increase the diameter of the AFM to provide I higher level of air flow. Ovcourse you would not do this unless you were going to tune the car on a dyno. My reasoning for doing this is as follows. I am building an R31 for drift and want to keep it cheap but get some decent power out of it. I have a freind that is a tuner and has chipped lots of ECUs for me before. he also has a wideband sensor so dyno time and cost is not a problem. so having said that the AFM WILL be going on my RB20det powered R31 and i will be aiming to get 200rwkw out of it with out maxing it out

Ok. As we all know the all nissan AFMs have a limit of air flow they can measure before they reach their maximum voltage 5 to 5.1 Volts. For an RB20 that means you are limited to 190RWKW or there abouts before you need to upgrade. this usually means the Z32 path as the Z32 has greater resolution. as i am aware RB20, RB25 and Z32 AFMS are all 80mm diameter and the only difference being their resolution However lets say you wanted to go a different path and rather than increase the resolution with a Z32 AFM you increase the diameter of your current AFM. Reading one of SK's other threads. and kind of working from there. If a 90mm hollow tube flows 26% more than a 80mm hollow tube due to the diameter, if we could directly translate that to an AFM, -if a RB20 80mm AFM provides enough MEASURED airflow to produce 190RWKW -Will a RB20 AFM modified to a 90mm diameter flow enough to produce a shade under 240RWKW and still be measureable? It is a given that the ECU would have to be tuned, just as it would if you swap to a Z32 AFM. Here is an RB20 AFM taken apart. I am going to buy some 90mm PVC I am going to run the following tests: Measure the output voltage of my afm at different RPM all the way to redline and map the voltages. Then put in the modified 90mm AFM and peform the same test and map the voltages. to do this my ECU will be running EXTREMLY RICH to avoid engine damage. If you have any experience in this area please feel free to reply... I hope all this makes sense and my backyard science has some merit to it.

I saw a proton with a 4G63 in it that put out 192FWKW. it was faded blue and looked like shit.

Excessive Fuel Usage.. 22litres To Drive 30km's
CEF11E replied to Skyline-man's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I was thinking huge injectors with PFC in japan and they replaced the PFC with a stock computer to sell it but even then it would run like shit and not use that much fuel. I would say you have a leaky injector/s, a hole in the pressurised supply side of the fuel system. or a V8 holden lives in your petrol tank -
Chris32 Between 118 and 130kmph your torque band is dead flat but your KW figure goes from 180 to 193. than ofer that it tapers off real quick. so to get the power you want it will need to breethe better up top. As you are rubnning 1.35 bar the compressor is spinning at its max efficency range at high rpm so the only way to make more power is with better flow. Considering you prob already have a very free flowing exhaust. 3" turbo back with a good dump pipe and a very high flowing catalitic converter, there are a couple of things you can do. 1. cool the intake charge further. If you dont have one you could make a waterspray kit for your intetrcooler. because at 1.35 bar you can bet your intake temps could benifit from further cooling help. this will make intake air denser, and make more power. on my car it made 13RWKW difference. 2. you also need to make it easier for the turbo to ram that air in!!! ruling out headwork as its too expensive your only other option will be cams. 350nm is very good torque for the ol RB20 and without better flow you won't usually get any more than that. also your boost curve is fantastic and i bet your car is very fast on the street and thru the windy stuff. I think if you can get 220rwkw with that turbo you will have a very fast car. but the odds are stacked against you

Hks 2530 Bigger? What Will I Need?
CEF11E replied to DriftSquad's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I had a cefiro with RB20 and i used to drift it quite a bit. It had 200rwkw with a highflowed RB25 turbo and close to factory boost response. it wont matter if you have a bit of lag as long as the power delivery is nice and smooth not kick you in the ass when boost comes on. Also i would have liked about 10% more power than i had so if you can get that with a 2530 go with it. after all 220rwkw is quite a lot of power in an r32. yep if it was me and for drifting i would go for the 2530. just my 2c worth -

I have an afm for you pm me the number and colour of your sticker and i will tell you if the one i have here is suitable -
Tolulene is the most common ingredient in octane booster and can be purchased as High aromatic thinners. you need to make sure it is 100% tolulene. it comes from paint stores. A mixture of 10% tolulene in 98 RON is acceptible. it also increases the MON ratin of the fuel. Water can also be added to fuel however in a high enough density it has the ability to hydrolock an engine. a better way to do it is thru injection into the intake before the throttle body

I thought i would start a diary of your favorite cars. Listed from your earliest to your most recent with photos. I started thinking about one of my old cars and it reminded me of good times and semi clean fun So i thought i would go first and show you some of my automotive history My trusty old AW11 MR2. 1987 model with 4age, bilstien suspension and thode god ugly chromies we all had in 1999/2000. This thing was not fast but handled like it was on rails and was a lot of fun to drive. I wanted more power and i was a slave to the old celicas so i bought this 1974 TA23 Celica. It was built to be a show car and featured an many magazines. It was stupidly fast sporting a 3TGTE with a highflow CT26 and all supporting mods. It pushed out 213RWKW in a 1000KG car. it had the looks and the power but it used to break my heart every time it got a mark on it. Some things are to beutiful for this world. By now i wanted to do some drifting and had always wanted a tough 4 door import so i met CEF11E a 198 model Cefiro with RB20 Powah and it was set up to drift outta the box with tiens, LSD and lotsa stuff. after spending many thousands on the car we decided to sell as it was time to buy a house. So here is my current ride a Y31 Nissan Gloria. powered by VG20det wierdness and cruisomatic gearbox. super comfy and pimpolicious but still cheap, reliable and kinda cool. Just not fast. Oh i really miss fast... So now its your turn! Tell us a little about each car and a photo. I have only included 4 of my 18 cars so you dont have to include them all, just the ones you liked best

those ladies audergarmets are worth a fortune in japan, especially if they were soiled? wierd huh. they have vending machines over there selling them... each to their own i guess...

those eat poo... have a look at the thread i started in the forced induction section called. I found a good cheap boost controller for $22 get one of these they are great!!!
