If I had a GTR I would remove the badge so idiots wouldnt try to race me. If I had a GTS I would never pose as a GTR so idiots could smoke me. i have seen 2 stupid examples recently. 1 white gts r32 with GTR badge. The guy was behind me at the lights revving his car when the light went green he tried to overtake me on the LEFT SIDE!!! moron almost found himself planted in the taxi parked on the side of the road. But the one that takes the cake is the dude in marrickville with the SW20 MR2 with the ferrari badges. These are the kind of people that buy a tshirt from k-mart and stick a diesel label on it and pass it off as deisel If you want a GTR buy one, or if you are loke me and can not afford one then just admire one ferrari my ass...

A31-r32 Rb20 Det Any Difference???
CEF11E replied to etbenno's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
use everything from the front cut. engine, loom, AFM, ECU and coilpacks. A31 engine has different profile exhaust cam also ecu only has half the maps and the afm is the same as an r31. I had an r32 engine in my cefiro but it used the a31 loom and computer. it caused me all sorts of problems. swap the lot and sell all your old bits!! -
any one want them? $20 bux. I also have an rb20 AFM and a RB20 actuator $20 bux each!

GST ROFL!!! the government taxed the turbo in importation. haha sorry couldnt resist!

see if you are blowing smoke at high boost/rpm by getting somebody to drive behind you. if you are not blowing excessive smoke it is probably within acceptable ware. also take off the intake pipe and check it see if it has oil all over it and the throttle body. If you do have oil everywhere you need to take off the intercooler and all piping and clean it out with carby cleaner or thinners. also the Acc valve and even the plenum if you are keen. once this is done change your plugs and install a catch can to prevent it from happening again.
-
catch cans are good for engines with 100,000 kms + and high RPM. I had one on my old RB20 and it was nessacery for drift as there was excessive blowby at 6000rpm but for normal road use you dont need one otherwise they would be a factory inclusion

I have the same problem aswell. and it is my subframe bushes. and i agree if you drive the car on the road and have coilovers that are a hard ride dont get pineapples. i had thm on my other car and it rattled like buggary... I ended up putting the stockers back in. pineapples are only good for drift.

If you mean the gasket between the turbo and dump? or between the dump and exhaust. you can buy good quality gaskets at GCG turbochargers for like $20 Be very careful not to damage your water and oil lines. take your time and allow a whole day to do it if you have never done it before. It sometimes pays to replace the nuts ehwn doing gaskets as the ones there are hevily coroded. Also wait till the car is COLD before starting and spray the studs/nuts with wd40 and let it soak in for 10 min before starting hope this helps!

the vg20det turbos are ball bearing and have a slightly larger exhaust wheel than the rb20 turbos. they are otherwise the same. they will provide enough air flow for 160rwkw on an rb20 at 14psi. great little turbo for what you are after. I hope you are going to use an rb20det computer and injectors!!!

9k Us$ And Still No Running Motor!!!!!
CEF11E replied to RB240Dav's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
with a rb26 if you are going for high power i woild be sticking with the q45 afm's. and just gat a SAFC or as others have suggested a jaycar digital fuel adjuster. I had one of these on my car. built it myself and it took 5 hours to build and an hour to tune on the dyno. www.jaycar.com.au is the website you can buy them from prob $100 us + postage. the product is a Digital fule adjuster and a hand controller to go with it. them go here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=61207 it will give you all the info you need on setting it up Good luck dude, and GET RID OF THOSE STRIPES!!! -
CC! you haven't even drifted it yet!! It seems like a really hard time to sell things at the moment. there are r33s for 12 grand, R32s for 8 grand and every man and his dog is trying to sell a ceff. dont know why. i guess we are all a bit sick of spending every cent we earn on our stupid powerful cars. Of corse i cant talk as i have already sold mine. but you might have more luck taking your car to some drift days and having a go. As soon as some people see yourcar in action it will generate some interest. Thats how i sold my car. There were 3 guys interested in it and they were all wanting to get into drift. Alot of thepeople asking about it on the internet were 14 year old kids dreaming about owning a HiPo car. Your car is something special and will only be bought by a drift enthusiast. you could also advertise it on www.toymods.org.au as an alternative to a stupidly priced underpowered but very fashonable Hachi... But your car is worth 17k.

A Slide And A Snag Day. Cefiro Meetup
CEF11E replied to CEF11E's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Well i have some bad news... The skidpan is booked solid for ages anyways ans the cost was $1500 + GST. We could make our own ghetto skidpan using a carpark and a fire hydrant, we wouldnt need to book, just pay police and court fines!!! probably end up costing 10 times that LMAO  any other ideas? Topless Cefiro car wash day? Hire hot chicks to wash our cars topless Cefiro defect day, Held at Krispy Kreme.... lets not go there. Or we could head out to WSID for some drag racing and burnout fun -
I have spent a bit of time on VG engines. I had a maxima with a VG30DE and nitrous oxide. + tuning. It put out 264FWHP It was a great engine and they rev very freely. also quite strong. I currently have a VG20det in my gloria and it is a fantastic engine. it responds to mods very well and revs to 8 freely. cant say anything bad about the VG series at all. but trust me, you dont want to rebuild one!!! I have seen/been in a VG30det in a Cima putting out 304 rwkw with a bigger turbo and injectors exhaust and cooler. It sounded tough and had enough torque to snap your neck!

Does anyone know a place in sydney that can powdercoat them and roughly how much they will charge? How do i go about stripping all the the clear coat and years of brake dust? cheers:)

CEF11E replied to CEF11E's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I will be overseas for 3 weeks in 2 weeks. By the sounds of it everyone needs more notice than 2 weeks. geez you are all busy people! how about the 1st or 2nd of october (saturday or sunday) Also if we are going to leave it untill then we should organise something cool like a skidpan day. I would prefer drift but no longer have a driftable car...DaMn AutO & oPEn wHeEl DIFf!!!! aghhh!!! Might be a lot of fun for first timers or budding drifters. we could organise a BBQ out there or something. -
New Car. New Turbo. Wat Power Will I Make?!
CEF11E replied to IFRYCE's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
you will be limited by your AFM and injectors. max safe rwkw on your afm is 200rwkw. any more than that and you risk leaning out. also even with the FPR 210rwkw is the most you should push standard injectors. Also an auto box will take 10% of that figure off. hope that helps -
