  1. If you're staying on pump 98 and not shooting for 500+ hp then a Walbro 255 aka GSS 342 will go straight in to the factory position, but it will need to be rewired direct to the battery to get the proper voltage. Again, if it's that noisy it could possibly be an aftermarket pump.
  2. My missfire turned out to be my CAS, it was mainly missfiring as soon as the engine got hot and wouldn't start again until it cooled down. So perhaps borrow one from someone and give it a go?
  3. I had them in my previous car and I've been in multiple cars with BCs and definitely notice the difference between my BCs and my shockworks coilovers which are still relatively cheap. I would probably be amazed by something like MCA reds.. One day! I would say I was happy with them for what I paid (when I had them in my subaru) BUT this was in a severely underpowered car and in something like a skyline with 250kw + something better is needed. I think that $1200 suspension in a car with 10k into the engine bay is silly, your setup needs to match. In saying that if you only plan on stock power I think BC BRs should be 'enough' but you will definitely enjoy the extra money spent on something better.
  4. - Set of mid-range coilovers, such as MCA, Shockworks (I have these in 8/6) or get onto sydney kid for a bilstein setup. - Sway bars front and rear - Rear camber and front castor arms - Adjustable front camber bushes - Hicas lock bar - Replace every other bush you can afford Alignment, then sorted.
  5. Broadfields work is hardly crusty that was just an example of many, go check out his page there might be something you like. This. Little details make a big difference, fresh coat of paint and restore black plastics ect
  6. Check out Broadfields blog, awesome interior stuff. For example, s14 cluster before and after.. Something I find awesome, but couldn't justify the cost as the stock gauges are pretty cool already..
  7. Would love one of these just for the soundtrack, pending price..
  8. Don't buy BCs. I did a heap of research before buying my coilovers from Shockworks.. Best purchase I've made thus far PM me if you want more info Or as GTSboy mentioned getting some bilsteins setup for the car, or have a look at MCA coilovers which I believe are about to release some coilovers for the skylines.
  9. I'm also experiencing a bit of play in the drive line.. Most noticeable at low speeds on and off the throttle I hear a slight clunking and the actual shifter moves above 5mm.. I'm thinking mounts of some sort, any ideas?
  10. Where'd you pick up the rubber bonnet stops? Loving the build so far
  11. Silver Enkei RPF1s Size - 18, 5 x 114.3 - 9.0 +35 had tyres mounted driven on for 500km then removed, nearly spotless couple of tiny marks from tyre fitters. - 9.5 +38 brand new in box $1400 FIRM Text me on 0407 913 574 for faster response.
  12. Time for new wheels, tyres, slotted rotors, braided lines and new pads all round..
  13. The centre AC vent just pulls out, use a knife or something to help it, then just undo the screws after you have disconnected the hazard light switch.
  14. 295 on a 10 +38 with nearly 3 deg camber slightly pokes, for those wondering
  15. Test fitted some wheels. F - 9 +30, 255 R - 10 +38, 295 With about 2.5 deg camber on the rear it was slightly pokey, and flush with 2 deg camber on the front. Decided to go with, F - 9 +35 R - 9.5 +38 RPF1s on their way from japan, hope this helps anyone looking to go big.
  16. Got an answer out of Mat for the size offsets of his Work XT7s if anyone else is interested. F - 18 x 8.5 +32 R - 18 x 9.5 +38
  17. I'll get a piston stopper and try and find TDC more accurately, the screwdriver down the hole method just isn't accurate enough. For now I have set it to the first white mark, just to be cautious.
  18. I know right.. I looked at stagea pulleys ect and they all have 5/6 marks.
  19. Ok, after leaving it like this for awhile I decided to recheck it getting the car ready for a tune. I've set the motor at TDC according to the markings on the cam gears and this is the result. Can anyone give me an answer as to what these marks are? My guess is 10 and 20 deg, it would be helpful if someone knew the diametre of the pulley.
  20. I've got shockworks in my car, loving them so far. Yet to have them on the track. How are you finding them?
  21. Hi guys, I'm after some Japanese wheels in good ot brand new condition with or without tyres. I am after the following sizes. 8.5 +25 and 9.5 +30, or 8.5 +30 and 9.5 +38. Located in perth and happy to pay for postage. Cheers.
  22. Now on the quest for new wheels, as my current wheels have about a cm of poke at the front and require about 3 deg of camber at the rears. Looking for F - 18x8.5 + 25 and R - 9.5 + 30, I believe these will be flush and fit 245/275 tires with minimal camber. Any input from anyone? Offsets seem ok?
