  1. Urgh, running out of excuses haha I did look at that graph but hard to decipher with the dyno doing wierd things as you mentioned with the torque. Video does look nice and responsive though
  2. I have questions that if answered may cost me a fair bit of money so please don't respond. Do you have a photo of the turbo on the T88 kit, I also have that T88 kit (with my 6262) but always been scared of the clearance of the massive EFR? Do you have a graph from the hubber, although a 9180 on a 2.8L it might give me an indication of similar of a 9174 on a 2.6L? How can a camera even record at 240p? haha
  3. It's ready to go, just needs a tune... Tuner has been on holidays for a few weeks so waiting until he gets back and into it
  4. The Kelford split cams (182S) I had in were 10.8mm lift so the head had to be releaved already. New ones are as follows "We’ve just run some numbers and we can take our L182-A 260° spec and turn it into a 260° advertised (measured at 0.1mm valve lift with lash set), 226° @ 1mm valve lift and would be .406” cam lift, coming out at 10.00mm valve lift on the intake and 9.95mm valve lift on the exhaust after lash. At the base circle we’d need to cut them to, to try and ease the re-shimming process, you’ll be right on our safety limits of velocity and getting close to our nose radius limit, it’d be an aggressive wee monster and something I think would be a much better fit for your setup given your historic results." There was an option to also drop to a 262 advertised with a 222 at 1mm and drop valve lift to 9.7mm but decided against it as they recommended the other grind
  5. First motor had Grex cams from Japan but dropped a valve guide so I purchased some Tomei Type-R poncams for the new motor... Installed but turns out it already had Type-B poncams. The Type-R's didn't really want to make enough power so I chucked the Type-B's in to see how they went. They were average at best still not making all the top end power and a fair wack laggier. Needed to do head gasket so we did the head (with minor porting), guides etc and chucked in some wiz bang Kelford split duration 274 jobs. They made good power (most it's ever made and maxed out the turbo) plus plenty more grunt on lower boost settings but lacked a fair bit below 4500rpm, especially on road/track. So went back to Kelford and had signifcant discussions and planning via email to come up with a new custom grind. They are in the hole now and just need a tune, fingers crossed they are good otherwise I'm going to try find the old Grex and buy them back haha So in terms of cash, once I sell the Kelford split cams to someone with a bigger turbo or stroker I should be less than $1000 out of pocket for all the testing. Basically I want my cake and eat it, turns out the Grex cams were probably almost there, now the never ending search to get it back to where it was or a little better
  6. 0.84 rear divided T4 Yeah 2.6L. I have had it on 2 different motors with basically the same result
  7. Honestly I'd have given a EFR8374 a go if it wasn't for all the fab... Instead I seem to be stuck with the 6262 (not being a bad thing) but now I'm up to 5 sets of cams that have been in the car haha Latest better be awesome considering I've gone backwards 4 times in some way shape or form
  8. How does that power compare with Garrets and Precision etc on same dyno? Sounds lower than I would expect but apples with apples
  9. For what's it's worth mine makes about 100hp more than that on similar boost... and 160hp more at 2bar
  10. Mine has gone 560kw at the hubs. 440kw sounds significantly lower regardless of the dyno. Got a graph? Any restrictions?
  11. I hadn't heard that, but very possible... Any news on what or why it broke?
  12. I've never heard of a Samsonas in a GTR and I've never heard of a PPG 6 speed sequential breaking so I have no idea where you are getting your info... Any references?
  13. I'd be more worried about the rpm vs speed relationship and the fact the run wasn't done in a 1:1 gear ratio... Turning over at 6000rpm?
  14. Newbies beware, but regular readers of this thread will have noticed the lack of year in the date quoted
  15. Those cam gear changes certainly woke it up!
  16. Piggaz vs Bobby for longest build and never driven... But I do joke, keen to see some results on this mate, well Bobby's as well because that will be the joke
  17. I know there will be a GTX3584RS on a RB26 (R32 GTR) getting tuned in the next few weeks... I'll try and post results if I remember
  18. From my vague memory I've seen one do 700kw on a Dyno Dynamics fairly easily, may have been just under but not much (I was replacing my gearbox at the time so was a little distracted). That was a 2.8L and from memory around a 1.0 rear
  19. Ok so I have to correct this a little. Turns out that there was 7 deg timing missing so it was helping it coming on a little better than it should. Tune is now done and dusted, Type B are 30rpm laggier (yes 30) and basically picks up 20hp as soon as it's on boost and holds it through top end and holds longer after peak power. Basically for my application the Type-B are a much better option
  20. From memory that little cannister is a bitch to pull off and caused me to punch myself in the head
  21. Fairly standard for OEM mounts to be shagged, break like that and cause similar damage... It sucks, I've been lucky enough to do it but my turbo hit the strut bar, ripped off the cooler piping and lost power almost instantly causing no real damage. Nismo are much better but tend to cause issues with the fan hitting the shroud
  22. Looks very nice but it does say "concept" which normally points to reality not living up to expectations. I'm sure Geoff will confirm and send me a sample to test
  23. Nice to get the feedback ActionDan, looks like they definitely know their shit and use their experience to design cams that will work. PS. Half way through writing this post my new Kelford sticks just got placed on my desk at work
