  1. Alright, think I've found one for a decent price: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...ShippingPayment Bought for around ~$64 US delivered from the USA, brand new. Relatively cheap I think
  2. Haha, rear fog lights? I should turn the one on my R33 on just to annoy you, lol Riced up excels are pretty annoying, and most standard cars with really large cannons (they're loud AND slow...).
  3. Interesting idea, I'm not so sure about going back to Burson's after the last episode with them (gave me the wrong clutch fan about 3 times before they got it right). But might be a good idea, as long as I can get an exact match. Found an ebay auction which is selling the gauge with the thermostat, I just want the thermostat though: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Greddy-TRUST-Electr...1QQcmdZViewItem
  4. Ah right, yes its a greddy water temperature gauge and a greddy/trust radiator so that sounds like what I need. I was hoping they used some kind of interchangeable part, its just 2 wires going to a temperature sensor in the top of the radiator. The stock one at the bottom of the radiator is fine, the PowerFC can read the temperature without a problem.
  5. Thanks, just want to provide accurate answers to my ebay questions Thankyou!
  6. The fan looks identical to the GTR fan, and so does the coupling. I ended up buying a brand new one from Bursons, $300 for the clutch/fluid coupling, my fan was fine Good luck with the sale
  7. How hot is your oil getting to need a cooler on your oil cooler? Or are you just bored ? Water spray on the cooler ?....
  8. 200AWKW doesn't sound that bad for 11 PSI. I'm running 1 bar (14.7PSI?) on an R33 GTR with an airbox and very few mods performance wise, high-flow cat, exhaust et cetera, I got 250RWKW but different dyno so its not a direct comparison. I'm expecting somewhere around 235AWKW on a AWD dyno and I have been informed the car is doing *well* by an experienced tuner. Good luck with the issue but I don't think 200AWKW is that bad...I mean you could do better but you seem to be happy with it
  9. Hey, Pretty much as the title asks, I'm *still* trying to sell my suspension and I'm getting questions about if it will fit R33 GTST's, can anyone confirm if R34 GTR suspension, which fits R33 GTR's, R34 turbo models, will fit or not fit R33 GTST's? So far I've been informing people that I don't believe it will fit but I don't want to turn away potential buyers if it will fit.... Regards, Gareth
  10. Really? I thought the one at the bottom of the aftermarket radiator is the stock gauge / ECU. The PowerFC hand controller reads the temperature just fine right now. There is also a temperature sensor at the top of the radiator, this has caused a gauge inside the car to flash "warning" constantly as its not getting a reading anymore. The gauge in the car is aftermarket, Greddy gauge. Regards, Gareth
  11. Hey, After removing / reinstalling the radiator my Greddy guage was flashing a warning and not going about 30degrees, turns out one of the wires broke off the temp sensor, about 2mm away from the actual metal part of it, tried soldering and ended up breaking both wires off. So where can I buy an aftermarket temp sensor? Are they all the same? Do I need to import one? Regards, Gareth
  12. True, but how often is the performance difference noticed ? In regard to the topic, I double all my quotes, the first project I quoted on, about 50 hours, went for about 70 hours Since then all my estimates are pessimistic....and even that doesn't work sometimes If we're doing work T&M then at least the customer gets a refund at the end of the day, we've even started including a % of off extra (20% on average) on the quotes that the customer can see.
  13. I do not believe the sensor near the cat relates to how much fuel you use, I run my car without this sensor and it has no issues. I also believe its a temperature sensor, not an O2 sensor....
  14. So you haven't paid for the current front bar they fitted? Maybe the ACCC could help you with fixing there customer service, you got something you didn't ask for so you shouldn't have to pay for it! Although its always hard to get the money back.... Good luck finding the front bar, I've had similar problems with repairers too, they broke the headlight clips and refused to replace them claiming it was "previous accident damage". Oh, and name and shame is not allowed on SAU.
  15. My stock 2way GTR diff shudders while doing slow speed, tight, turns, more when its cold then when its warmed up. If you shim it tighter than its going to do it even more, as in every turn it will skip a little bit and groan...but if you avoid tight turns on the street then you don't have to worry about it as much .
  16. My insurance knows about this and they were fine with insurance, but if you have "any illegal modifications you will not be covered". So I'm also confused on this is your in Victoria....other people have said they can only not pay insurance if it may have contributed to the accident but then thats more rumor than fact
  17. The seat belt sign is identical to the R31 one, except this one actually has a sensor, the R31 just flashes 3 times as a reminder.
  18. Hey, Ok here we go, there's plenty of other people who have FAST or COULD get it...so start FASTING "HCR32 - 263476" Done "can someone please explain what is done when a "vin is fasted" VIN is typed into a program, screenshot of results is shown, try searching for FAST on the forums. Good karma should be achieved by the time lost to FAST'ing other peoples VIN's "This is pretty urgent, im inspecting this car tomorrow: Please find: BNR32-222110" Done "Hi. Can you please advise details of VIN BNR32 008455. Regards Terry" Done "hi just bought an auto r33gtst. would like to know more. chasis- 6U9000ECR33107579 thanks in advance." <-- to learn more spend more time with your car, then take it to a track Also done.
  19. Is this different to alternator whine? I found this but I don't know who wrote it, someone on the internet: "As mentioned earlier, I found a harness that runs in that bay-area, and behind the AC unit that has MASSIVE electrical interference. I could hold the rca's near it, and the whine was louder than the music (at mid-levels). If you can't test it that way, then grab a 3.5mm stereo mini jack (same as your earphones) to RCA boot, and use the ipod plugged into them, so you're nowhere near the body. If that is still noisy, change your RCA cable... use a short one to test with the ipod to the amp. Grab one out of your TV/DVD player and test with it. If the noise is still there, try and borrow a friends amp, and retest all of the above. Turn your gains down on the amp. Put a massive earth on the battery. OR use a Ground Loop Isolator from autobarn etc. " This article also talks about alternator whine: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ca...dio-t94069.html But your problem may be different.... EDIT: re-read your problem, it doesn't sound like alternator whine....but I don't know that much about car audio.
  20. Anyway, we finally found it, bought a Dayco(?) unit that fits a Nissan Pathfinder I believe, please confirm before you buy it, I'm not 100% sure on which one was bought. Unfortunately it costs $300 but it does fit the R33 fan, so it appears to be the same as the Nissan one. This was bought from Burson's but I don't think $300 is the retail price. Good luck to anyone else who has this problem.
  21. Don't forget to feed back info into the sticky: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Br...0&start=120 About general brake pad info Thanks for all the feedback, I will be getting some new brake pads but probably won't rate them yet as I don't have enough experience in my car to judge how good they are.
  22. Ebay has a reporting feature but that would most likely just end up with the item removed and them selling it elsewhere. Why can't the cops do anything? Ask for inspection or pickup of the item and win it. Then make sure he leaves you positive feedback on ebay before after you take the rims for free (using your preferred negotiation technique ) lol
