  1. Any particular reason for the 300KW? If your looking for high kw numbers start looking at VL turbo's If you want a reliable 300kw+ GTR be prepared to pay some $$$ for it and have enough to maintain it. What car do you drive now? Going from a normal car to a 300kw+ car could be dangerous...
  2. I have to agree with everyone else, its illegal to do, I wouldn't consider it dangerous but that doesn't make it legal Good point that you can smoke and drive...never seen anyone get fined for that!
  3. You did the flush in only 1 bottle of RBF600? I used 1.3 (or maybe 1.5) bottles, but we did flush it really thoroughly just to make sure the RBF600 didn't mix with the old brake fluid (as I didn't know what fluid was in there).
  4. GIO customs can be ok but they are the same underwriter as just cars...worth trying, I got a better deal than JustCars I've also heard of Ryno although I think they might require you to have owned a previous high performance vehicle. Some of the old high-performance insurance companies have merged with one another, Famous insurance were listed under 2 or 3 different company names when I called around for insurance about 7 months ago. I can't remember there names.
  5. Consider joining the club for a start.... Also check http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/20...en-t198251.html Check the events section of the Vic forum on here. DriverDynamics runs some great events where you can learn your car under instruction, there not too expensive. I'd highly recommend there advanced driving course...(I've done the level 2 version only). Oh, and most importantly you must learn the search...there's a lot of info on these forums. Regards, Gareth
  6. $300/set? I could nearly afford 2 sets of QFM A1RM pads for that price I will buy QFM pads and see how they go.
  7. Chassis damage? Sounds like it could be a statutory write-off if you were insured...good luck selling the parts Or fixing it if it looks possible but sounds unlikely.
  8. Since when was SAU a job board? If anyone has high-paid IT jobs with challenging work and possible international work then I'd be interested. rofl There's plenty of useful job sites and there's your local paper for finding jobs.
  9. Search for it . Various forum traders sell the Apexi panel filters. You can also buy Pipercross or K&N panel filters but they're the oiled type and not legal in Vic
  10. Yes it does, you don't have a list of illegal mods there which is a good start. The boost controller and ECU are illegal under EPA rules but its unlikely to get noticed. The pods may attract a little attention if they check the car but its not illegal unless you changed the FMIC as well.

Racepace was RWD a few weeks ago, I don't think they have bought a 4WD dyno recently But they do tune 4WD vehicles very well...with the front shaft disconnected.
  12. Yes, and they were happy with that advice even on hotter days for normal street tyres. Does anyone know if this advice also applies at the track? Should the tyres be softer? I ran 38psi in the street tyres and got asked if I was running semi-slicks by an instructor so I didn't see a problem there
  13. Nah, its a modern day scam, he'd say I need the money to send it from UK or NZ or similar and then the money is gone . You will probably find the real owner on the same website selling at a more realistic price.
  14. Would you happen to know if this fan assembly/clutch would fit an RB26? And is it still tight? My current one is no longer tight.
  15. Done Done The vehicle identification number...I think Just look for a number written on the little plate inside the bonnet, or on any recent import the sticker on the inside of the door and etched into a couple places under the bonnet including the strut tower. Maybe ask someone selling one? Why do you need a *VIN* for this car? Search the threads for a start. Doesn't even look like a VIN.
  16. Can't run that either Doesn't even look like a VIN.... Attached. Regards, Gareth
  17. 143,171.03 AUD http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi For the black one, if you move to NZ
  18. I have HICAS in my car, you don't really notice it until you do lose the rear and the car reacts in a not so predictable way, however the usual cause is too much power in the corner or way too much speed entering a corner and then either trying to steer it out or brake in the corner (as I found on the track ).
  19. Any offers before these go back on Ebay? Really don't want to put them on ebay again...
  20. I think its a *good* idea but isn't there a large possibility of a power surge? I mean if everyone starts turning things back on at 9PM, especially with some people saying they will turn off the large items like fridge/freezer et cetera. Also I find it ironic that the big corporate company I'm based at is pushing this when they have thousands of computers running 24*7 and I'm talking desktops not servers.
  21. I *believe* and I emphasize that I am not an expert on cars, that the ECU would be involved here, I mean the computer does control the idle But I'm not sure if its causing any of the other side effects, you will need some more experienced who can help there. And a steady idle of 500-600 RPM? My car would stall before it gets that low ...
  22. You checked the workshop thread right? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Lo...ops-t13305.html There's a few around that really know skylines, not sure how quick they are though.... Oh, and look up the tyre thread in the handling section of the forum or search about tyres.
  23. 6? Do you have an oil cooler or something? 6 * 0.945 (is that was a quart is?) that would be 5.67 litres. Anyway, you probably did tell me and I have a terrible memory Yes, I don't like the quarts measurement, its confusing.
