  1. Yeah have to be looking at the right time to snap them up, but from research your need a adaptor plate and drive shaft. But after all the pain and money wasted on rebuilding 25det boxes enough was enough
  2. Yeah if you can find one, in NZ there very very hard almost as hard to find as a unicorn horn. Also would it have held up any better
  3. What PranK said, it’s only a matter of time before it crawls out from under the seat and bites you
  4. Very nice, always love a silver 33. Drive it and enjoy it before the bug bites you
  5. Another kiwi, wicked 34
  6. The box I brought was already made to rwd as well as the bonus of having a ppg gearset installed. After killing 4 25boxs it was time to look at other ideas to try and improve gearbox life
  7. Well I have it, the internal difference between a rb25 and a rb26 is the different length in shaft, it’s not stronger or better if anything it’s worse trying to fit to a gts as the mods are over the top to get that “GTR RWD box”. Best thing to do is either take them apart and swap them or just get s replacement box for yours.
  8. Also if you running a s2 25det your redline will be stuck at 7500 due to the hydro lifters, I got my plugged to increase redline to 8500. 1/4 mile times are only 12.6 but at 126mph, haven’t had much seat time work. Before the car got built we did stick it on the dyno and loaded it up and it made 363wkw on the same 22psi. Once you hit the about 500hp mark your gearbox and diff become a real problem. I’m 4 bigboxs and 3 diffs before I went nismo and ppg
  9. Don’t mind I don’t no what I am talking about, I just have a car the proves what I said is right. Changing the duration of lift helps hugely with boost as you increase air flow and with cam gears can dial it in. Go and wack a huge turbo on your 25 and tell us how it makes boost. I’ll wait for your reply as it will take as long as for boost to load
  10. I’m running 450kw in a rb25 and it’s not really all about how big yo turbo is but more about how your cams are matched to your turbo. To many people but a big arse snail on and wind the boost up and make no power, get a nice cam, 264/272 and it will help you make boost sooner and better
  11. A guy in town called “wheel and frame” they have all the gear so gave it to him and told him what I needed
  12. Hope to be able to t into the rear abs sensor
  13. Went under the knife
  14. So next week we are undergoing the task of fitting a GTR box to a 25, it’s already been changed to RWD and has a pull to push swap but the best part it has a PPG 1-5 straight cut gear set fitted. From what we know so far is a new gearbox cross member needs to be made and the drive shaft end changed but wanted to know if there are any other hidden things I need to get before we start
  15. Skyline model = R33 GTST Wheel diameter = 18" Wheel width = 9.5 Wheel offset = 15 Tyre size = 265/35/18R 245/35/18F Modifications to fit = 30mm wide front guards and shaved 2mm off the rim to raise offset also ran 245s just to make sure. Rear has 65mm flares and a 25mm wheel spacer. Wheel specs are for a r32 GTR
  16. Mine wasn’t 4 bar it was 2.5 and had to buy a 4bar
  17. Nope I’m going to run meth into the turbo, turbo has been rebuilt to make this happen and it’s a better way to decrease intake temps and increase power. I wouldn’t use water on it’s own into the turbo as that’s asking for trouble down the road and deff not on a turbo that isn’t ready for it
  18. So your injecting the meth in to intake side of everything, why not spray it into the intake of the turbo?
  19. I run those cheap d1racing slotted rotors and EBC yellowstuff pads and Penrite brake fluid. Zero problems done 5 track days and at 200+ can stand on the brake over and over again no fade driving round town is good as well just have to remember not to stand on them like other cars other wise you bounce to a stop. Good brake fluid makes a word of difference
  20. Link is normally 2.5 Bar standard, best to buy the 4 bar, 3 bar boost is heaps and heaps. Fly by wire is a waste of time and money on an rb, this of the extra power you could buy. Big boy v8s get rid of them as the fear of the throttle staying open is all to real and a quick stab of the gas won’t fix it
  21. ARP headstuds +1 Who are you going to get to tune it?
  22. Sorry for the poor photo don’t have the car at my house but you can see how I ran mine. You can get the AN fittings for the RB covers
  23. So I did some googling thing with the google app and well came up with people talking about this that and the other thing and didn’t get much sense out it out. so my question to you guys and girls is I have a s2 r33 gts25t and also have a s1 r33 gtr bonnet and tried to fit the dam thing (not a one person job) and it seems to be the bonnet hinges are a little off? Is it as easy as buying gtr hinges or am I looking at a whole new front end or sell my first born and buy a gtr?
  24. S2 rb25det built motor Holset hx40 Sinco Mani 1000cc injectors Link G4+ Made 444rwkw on bp98 no plan yet to go e85
