  1. Yeah no more vcam, the 2.8 and ported head will more then make up for it
  2. Oops I meant to put that in, they (yes they) are jun 272 11.35mm got just a quote from rams to have the head ported and etc and will be sent to them to be done as well
  3. Final piece of the head arrived today now it won’t be long until the engine gets removed
  4. It’s going to way past the 1k mark, the ecu alone will be double that
  5. You’ll need an aftermarket ecu to do any of what you asked about. platinum racing products makes a crank trigger setup for the single cam rb30 engine. LS coils would br a good choice as they’re cheap and plentiful, then run leads from them to the spark plugs
  6. That works for 33/34 owners at the hat in the fuel tank sits higher then the surge tank, r32 the hat sits lower then the surge and the lines come off the surge tank and then go straight down
  7. It will be mounted in the boot and because I’m using the ptfe (Teflon) hoses and the tank is hard anodized it doesn’t smell I already have -8 hoses running from the front to where the frenchies hat in the factory tank was. now I’ve fitted the factory hat back in with -8 bulk heads and I’ll run lines from the hat to the surge tank and then hoses from the surge tank into the -8 lines already in the car
  8. It’s a 4L which is plenty and the pumps are the same size as previously, the only reason I’ve gone this way is I wanted the original gauge sender back in the car
  9. Surge tank arrived a couple of days ago and after some assembly and a lot of speed flow fittings it currently looks like thisnow just waiting for the fuel pumps to arrive and I’ll fit and wire them inside then fit the tank into the car
  10. It causes the pipes to heat up so much they end up crystallizing and then cracking
  11. Cut the tabs off the bottoms of the sump and weld them back on in the correct position
  12. 6boost give life time warranty on their manifolds except if you heat wrap them
  13. Did you hear wrap the manifold?
  14. The trick is to make sure the home signal is halfway between 2 teeth, then the slack in belt can’t allow it to count an extra tooth/one less tooth because the home signal moved
  15. You don’t have to grind the tab off, someone tried to get me to do it and i told them no and my car works perfectly
  16. Wow who the hell worked on this car that they thought packing washers under the pivot was a good idea
  17. There must be a shit load of money to be made from doing this, they were the ones that paid 1.1m for the hsv Ute and are raffling it off
  18. Put a 2psi spring in it and remove the boost controller, you know some kid fresh of his Ps will end up with this
  19. But when about when you want to go to a track and use all of it?
  20. It’s very easy with e85 and modern turbos and there’s a difference between having it and using it. There always a low boost setting or even using less throttle. Driven cars with over 650hp at the wheels and down low they drive just as good or even better then a factory car
  21. His issue is the oil pump picks the oil up feeds it straight into the oil filter and then into the oil passages. Because of capping it off all the oil would have gone straight back out the oil pressure relief valve in the pump dump the oil, when its sparky pull the engine
  22. The fact you can’t get it into reverse points it likely being a clutch related issue and not an issue with the box it self.
