  1. This is the cheapest, most realistic option. It will cost around $2200 AUD for the unit and then you will need to buy some parts and panels from Nissan to change your older interior parts to make it all fit 100% like OEM. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NISSAN-2009-2010-GT-R-upgrade-to-2014-OEM-Navigation-entertainment-kit-/251873817676?hash=item3aa4d9744c This is the unit for sale. Trusted seller. In depth forum thread detailing whole process: http://www.gtrheritage.com/topic/3484-review-install-notes-re-legertass-09-14-mfdnavaudio-upgrade-kit/ Enjoy.
  2. They have got around this issue you can swap out the whole MFD now. There is multiple threads and reveiws over on gtrhertiage.com detailing the process.
  3. every 5-6 tanks of ethanol i run 1 tank of 98 i dont drive the car every day so that is like once every 3 months or so
  4. went back after a few mods since mid last year. now running E85, bigger pumps, injectors, intakes, downpipes and an EcuTek tune. so almost full bolt on. i had on michelin pilot super sport tyres and running stupid camber (-3 rear, -3.5 front) as it was my street setup. with proper alignment, stickier rubber and better launch should hopefully see my 60ftr down and achieve a low 10 sec pass.
  5. Nismo has already set up operations in Australia. There is already a Nismo place in VIC. however from what we have heard so far, is that the Nismo GTR will not be on the list of cars for sale - only the Nismo 370Z and the Nismo Juke R for now..... will need to wait and see.
  6. Most of the 2011+ have all black interior. The 2009/2010 have the red accents. Then from 2013+ "Black Edition" have the recaro seats with the red accents as well. Im like you i prefer the all black interior. As for the going rate for a gearbox - if it shits itself it can be fixed anywhere from $1500-$5000 depending on the problem. Full clutch upgrades which involve shipping the clutches + baskets to usa for upgrading run around $7500 with current exchange rates. Good for 500kw at all 4 wheels. Also includes maintenance of the current box as well and a general refresh. Then you have other options - Willall are selling a FULL REBUILT transmission which can hold 1000hp reliably all day every day for $29,500 right now on eBay. They are also selling a 2011 standard trans with low kms for around $14,000. So if you sell your stock trans and fit the willall one your only out of pocket around $15,000 - for a transmission that can hold 1000hp and drive like stock that is a bargin in my opinion. How much does a Hollinger 6 speed sequential run for these days for an R34 GTR to hold the same power???? There are so many options to consider and every day there is more and more being released for this amazing platform which allows it to do more and more. When the time comes i dont even know what i want to do - but right now i am leaning towards sending my trans to USA to get rebuilt and can hold 900hp reliable all day every day. Just the USD conversion sucks so much right now and everything is now 20% more expensive than the same time last year

  8. I have tested both E-Flex and E85 from United. E-Flex varys between 65-70 Ethanol Content. United @ Prariewood and Minto i get consistant E82-84 and now they finally have the 107 Octane Race Blend which i am currently just filling for the first time now. Price has always been less than E10. Though i do agree United is price gouging, it should be ALOT cheaper. There are a few things to consider at the pump when you fill up. You can get contamination at ANY servo: 1. How old is the servo? 2. When was the last time the tanks were changed in the ground? How old are the tanks in the ground? 3. How busy is the servo? How long do you think the fuel has been sitting there for? Last time i was at Minto United i could see the E85 counter was higher than the E10 AND the E98 on the same pump station. That means a good overturn of E85. At Prariewood United, most of the time i go there i have to wait in line to fill up. They only have the 1 pump (Minto has 2) and due to the high concentration of Performance Cars in the Western Sydney area, you can bet it gets a good turnover as well. All E85 has the properties to f**k your fuel filters / clog your injectors etc. you need to make sure you take a few steps: 1. run E85 compatible injectors which wont corrode 2. run a tank of 98 every now and then to clean out the fuel system and avoid gummy buildup in your fuel system 3. service your fuel pump filters regularly (i run an external inline fuel filter also to make it easier to service) 4. don't let E85 sit in your tank for more than 2 weeks - it makes the fuel go off. make sure you drive the car at least every two weeks, or if the car is going to sit for a long time fill back up with 98. Easiest thing to do is run a flex fuel kit / tune. That way you can fill up 98 or E85 on the fly without having to run heaps of maps etc. Also helps to have an Ethanol content analyzer in the car (either via ECU or flex fuel kit with a Zeitronix unit)
  9. Hi if anyone needs an R35 GTR for their event, let me know. I have a group of 4 WHITE R35 GTRs which can be used for your special day. Please send correspondence via Private Message Thank You
  10. I have some INGs Side skirts for sale.... you can have them for $300
  11. Dan, well yeh my GTR aint stock lol.... it has the mods you mentioned and more.... when i say it scares me is like that feeling you kind of get in your stomach very much like anxiety And as you say "doesn't require any attention or skill to drive one" well that means you aren't driving it fast enough! Of course, in traffic, what kind of attention or skill do you need to drive? Having it in auto is a great luxury during this time. I drive mine in Auto during stop/start traffic and then once i get some clear road its back into manual mode. Take it to the track and its a different story. It still requires a great skill to drive, you are heading into that corner much faster than other cars.... the forces exerted on your body due to the GTRs gravity defying antics will really make you work for faster times. I cant wait to take mine to the track this year as i have been slowly setting it up over the past 6 months. Lets face it guys. The older GTRs are aging. New cars are coming out every day with new technology, which make defying the laws of physics even more possible. This is called progression or an advancement in tech. Many people hold onto older things because of sentimental value. Im the same... (i really want to buy another S15 for 6spd fun) but eventually when you come to realize how good modern tech is, you will make the switch too. And PS. 600hp R34 GTR is nothing like a 600hp R35 GTR.... R35 is faster. To put into comparison, i ran a 10.8 sec 1/4 Mile with nothing but an aftermarket exhaust. No tune, nothing. Full street trim/weight & tyres. Not bad for a "2 Tonne Car with 350kw" (Its actually more like 1.8T with ~320kw @ all 4)
  12. i will give you $200 for it because thats how much i can buy it for delivered from Japan http://store.gtrotaku.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=18&language=en
  13. hey guys ill try make it to this meet. havent been to one in years.
  14. eflex is such an inferior fuel to united e85, but i guess its better than running 98 still. only other option is to buy those 205l drums and just fill up and keep in shed if you drive your car alot, you dont want it sitting around for a long time due to the nature of the fuel.

  16. Bring in a Nismo - Sell it here - it will fetch a very nice price. Only GTR i would bring in as an "investment" if you wish to make a nice sum.
  17. Geezus there are some mis-informed people in this thread. And alot of it i can tell comes from carpark banter and rumors from people who don't know or have not even bothered to ask an owner if it is true or not. I have a 2012 GTR and an average service comes in at $250-$400 Recently my car ticked over to 20,000km and i decided to perform a major service of sorts. I bought all MOTUL/Nimso Fluids - Engine Oil, Trans Oil, Diff Oils, Filters, Gaskets, and Coolant for just under $1000 delivered. Here is the advertisement here: As for squeaky brakes, yes this is because of the stock pads. The stock pads are also very dusty. My rotors are due for replacing soon and aftermarket options are not only BETTER, but CHEAPER than OEM too. I recently drove a friends R34 GTR as i had never driven one before and it was my hero car. To be honest, besides the look of the car, and driving manual, i would take the R35 GTR any day over the R34. The low down tourqe and response from the V6 TT is just lightyears ahead of the aging RB26, the R35 GTR still scares the f**king bejeezus out of me sometimes when i put my foot down, and the g force it pulls which my wife keeps telling me is like being on a roller coaster. These days as well to be honest, i prefer the DCT transmission - it shifts faster, you can pop it in auto in traffic, launch control.... so much to do with it. Even the R34 owner didnt want to get out of my car..... And on a final note - there is so much aftermarket tuning being done and still constantly developing as time goes on the platform keeps getting better. Especially in regards to transmission issues - these are non existent with newer model GTRs, even things like the annoying bellhousing rattle has finally been fixed by Nissan. Tuners have also tweaked the TCM Roms to provide better and faster shifting, less clunking and overall better drive ability than stock. Then you have so much datalogging and ecu capabilities, such as traction control, launch control, BOTL, Rolling Launch..... just to name a few. Such an awesome car to own..... R35 wins in my books.
  18. There would be, the stock exhaust weighs quite a bit.
  19. Are you in Sydney, welcome to listen to mine at WOT full Exhuast decatted... Might have to change your mind. The VR38 sounds so tough and the best thing is that throw it in auto mode and keep the revs low and it's still so quiet to drive around and not draw too much negative attention to yourself.
  20. R34 induction noise is better than r35? You need to get some gotboost intakes and big green filters on your r35 mine sound like their sucking harder than a Bangkok hooker
  21. good like guys if i didnt have my brothers wedding that day i would def come down to spectate
  22. You cant get same dish on front and rear as these are not set up as a squared rim from factory. they run staggered sets from factory. Having said that.... doesnt mean you cant try! Any many people have done so, just need to run alot of neg camber up front. Im going to run 11" square setup on my car.... Volk GS2 are popular... but TE37 Ultra in a squared FACE4 setup looks better imo.
