  1. You're talking a Lotus Cortina head yeah? Not many of those in Peoples garages anymore lol If if was going to spend that much on a 4 pot it would be a Cosworth BDG 2L
  2. yeah on the highway, Goulburn to Canberra Daily
  3. Im gonna have to stay out of this thread now because im wanting a mk2 Cortina to drop a Pinto into. Edit Aussie 4cyl Cortinas had the Pinto Engine so they are out there also - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ford-escort-2ltr-pinto-/260858153173?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cbc5b88d5
  4. Not all that common in Aus, more of a UK and USA thing, but im sure they wouldnt be hard to get. Interestingly though, the YB Cosworth Engine that powered the Sierra/Escort Cosworths was a basically a Pinto Block with the Cosworth twin cam Head fitted. Huge range of performance parts available in the UK
  5. 600k's to a tank in a R33 gtst is easy, I was getting it after tuning the car myself. Its all about the road tune.
  6. Easy to figure out...call and ask for Stuart lol
  7. I thought Stu already sold it?
  8. That looks nearly exactly the same as a Mitsi GTO here in Canberra. Especially from the front 1/4 view

  10. I would have any RX7 Again Damn I miss my Ser.3
  11. That is how they should look. Not a fan of GT wings on them
  12. hahah you just reminded me of Maxwell Smart
  13. If you can turn tyres in 2nd with a standard turbo you either have the chesapest nastiest rubber known to man or the tyres are bald
  14. Dave I can think of 3 or 4 cases of people wanting to drop a VH/VK v8 in a GTR, one mob even started doing it. None were ever finished, even with a huge budget. the VH/VK V8s are a very big engine for only 4L, so much so that they would be heavier than a RB. If you want to be Different than look at getting a rebuilt FR9 or R5P7 Nascar V8, 850+hp on E85, and will last until the end of time in a hot lap car. Also they are going to Fuel Injection next year, so the likes of Roush/Yates will be doing all the R&D For you
  15. Just thinking, you havent left a rag or something in the intercooler pipes after changing the turbo. Sounds dumb but just about everyone has done it.
  16. Have to agree with that. I was looking at building an OHC ford V8, but for half the cost and 50%+ more power its easier to do the good old pushrod ones.
  17. How healthy is the engine? Any blow by or anything like that? Starting to run out of options haha Cam timing could be out? But apart from that the turbo is another possibility, if you changed nothing else apart from the turbo that could be it. Or it could be the tuner?
  18. Welcome to the 21st Century. Just arrive did we?
  19. No but ill take a blow
  20. how do you know there is no restriction? did you drop the exhaust and run it? Valve float is a possibility, but would show up as dips in the power curve.
  21. Cheers mate Might have to take one for a steer one day. But you are making me want to spend money on the Soarer lol
  22. Blocked Cat converter? Shit exhaust? Shit Intercooler? Could be any of those
  23. +1 to this. The Grand Am RX8's are a weapon and come already fitted with a VERY angry NA 20B (think faster in a straight line than 500hp BMW M6s that run in the series too)
  24. ye wtf?
