  1. And pretty sure Tomei pistons are made by Cosworth...I know some of them were. If you dont want piston slap run a long skirt piston and really tight clearances. might cost you a handful of horsepower but much better for a street engine.
  2. Only if the clearances are right.
  3. Option C: Buy a V8 add Supercharger, enjoy
  4. Not by you lot I hope....Oh...wait yeah nevermind
  5. I am 99% sure all the manifolds were the same from R31 on. I have yet to see any different castings for the single turbo RB's apart from the GTS-Rs which is what you should get btw
  6. Ill say again, there is no need for ARP/TOmei studs on a stock motor, hell even a 600hp RB will be fine with new standard stuff. You will go backwards using bigger cams with a stock or small turbo, any gain you make a 6000rpm you WILL lose down low, you keep saying that you want power up until 5000rpm...so why do you want big cams?
  7. Stuart, you were at Superlap, did you see what happened to the black S15, no cage and came 2nd best after hitting the wall at turn 4 or 5. The driver was rather lucky not to have been badly hurt, and that was on street tyres, now if it had slicks the cornering speed would have been a lot higher, and therefore woul have hit the wall a lot harder. I agree that Supersprints entrants should not have to have cages, but I like the idea the Mexicans have, where if you a wearing slicks you will want to go flat out so you need a cage. Bit like Andra really, If you are quick enough to run 10's as you are Stu and just look at your mph, if you have a blow out through the traps you WILL hit the wall at 132mph, I know for a fact I would want a cage around me, no matter what car i was in. Not having a go at you, but I have seen stupid fast street cars at the strip with no cage, they rock up run a 9 with no real experience and smash the wall a nearly 140mph, with no harness/cage or any safety gear. So I am all for safety in really quick cars
  8. yes, they made them up until 2001
  9. hahah yeah Ive done the same...and had random mechanics tell me that it's a bent "push rod" .....on a Rb25 lol
  10. Spotted a really nice XA GT Falcon Sedan today on Canberra ave had a nice Dual Quad setup poking out the bonnet Also saw a real clean VK Commodore V8 on Tharwa. Must be the day for tough eights
  11. Ahk cool I'd never really looked at them but when I did, I noticed that they exchange for standard ECU's maybe they use them for the ECU plugs?
  12. As dunc said they don't make components. Probably referring to the fact that it has ARP rod bolts, and they have stuck an "and" in there by mistake.
  13. Lol calm down son
  14. Factory fan with shroud will pull more air than any thermo setup I have seen
  15. thermo fans are the gay, leave the factory fan imo
  16. lol this being Canberra there are probably a bunch of flat cappers copying it now lol
  17. As said above the emissions must meet with what ever is newest, in your case the car. If you were to put a NEO 25 into a 240Z the emissions are based on the motor because it is the newer of the 2.
  18. Just buy a good condition stocker, or throw some new rings and bearings and crank collar in the current engine....no need for forged rods/arp bolts etc if its just a street engine, so unless you plan on doing some serious endurance circuit work there is zero need for half the stuff in your list. and sif v8's only goto 5000 lol, mine will goto 6500rpm and live for years
  19. lol @ downroad in the web addy The reytechs are just a modified Standard ecu yeah? Like nisstune but in a fancy case and 3 times the cost?
  20. Consequences of driving a skyline.... #1 Spun Bearings #2 busted ring lands #3 broken oil pump #4 blown standard turbo(s) #5 f**ked coil packs #6 11ty threads on SAU about what turbo should I get #7 11ty Threads on SAU about Missfire at 4500rpm #8 11ty Threads on SAU on how do I remove my turbo so I can drive on "P's" #9 11ty Threads on SAU about what happens if I get caught driving a turbo on "P's"
  21. get back up there!
  22. white shows up any cracks etc better than black. that would be my reasoning, a matte white wouldn't be too glary I dont think
  23. It is 100% hydraulic
