  1. you'd be welcome to swap my 18" rims off my gts-t to get it cleared as im on my L's and the car just sits in the driveway anyways... but i dont think the offset would be right to fit a gtr -Ruffels
  2. ohk just had my new alarm installed yesterday... however the remote start keeps trying to start the car after it turns it on i was told that i will have to wrapp te wire around one of the coil packs and it would fit it.. and i did this... however the problem is still happening does anyone have any ideas? -Ruffels
  3. i hope that SAU have a stand next year.. the cars not ready this year,,, but hopefully should be looking shmick for next year -Ruffels
  4. ive been scammed before .. so i know what its like guys. sorry to hear... this is not a once off one person scam either.. speaking to friends on msn.. there are other that have been done by noble bum -Ruffels
  5. ohk as the topic states i am now getting alternator whine.. even when the stereo system isnt on and its starting to give me the shits t begin with it was just whine'ing when i turned my new sound system on .. but now even when the sound system is turned off the whine is present does this mean i need a new alternator? -Ruffels
  6. ^^^^ about that.... my mum rang racq for a quote for my car (r33 gts-t) in her name only and shes 52 rating 1 lifetime no claims, and they didnt like the idea... (aami said no alltogether to my mum) .. and RACV gave her one mother (excuse the pun) of a premium quote -Ruffels
  7. hehe... i only like it coz it has the same wheels as me -Ruffels
  8. get the battery cheers very happy -Ruffels
  9. sorry to hijack your thread mate.. but a quick question in relation to this... i have an r33 gts-t .. if i get caught driving it in victoria i only get 0 points and $107 fine, how ever if a person in NSW on thier P's gets caught driving one.. its something like 7 points and $450 or somehing... so judging on what ive been told... if i were to drive interstate, say if i were driving to queensland.. and i get pulled over in NSW.. i would to cop the 7 points and $450 or what ever it is..... if so.. that is ridiculous -Ruffels
  10. unplug the ECU, lock up the steering wheel, remove the spark plugs and take of the wheels.. shouldnt go anywhere ... but it might get stripped
  11. yeah ^^^^ thats right its up under the steering wheel collumn closer to the left then the right.. i belive its right next to the flasher can.. just ope your door, locate t by sound or touch and then unplug the mofo just dont try and remove the unit... i sliced my hand up really good .. was pretty bad, i should have had stiches, lol coz now i have a screwed up scar lol -Ruffels
  12. d00dz.... you just have to cut the stoc pod a little... doesnt take much to fit the extra .5 inch i did it on mine.. (well previous owner did) so mynew 6.5" drivers fit in nicely -Ruffels
  13. hmm .. this si the reason why i keep ALL of my stock parts when ever i "upgrade" ... and i was missing two stock parts when i bought the car (airbox and boost solenoid).. so i went out of my way to aquire these items... sure they sit in my garage and dont get used... but i have them there as security incase i do perchance get "done" for my modifications... -Ruffels and R31Nismoid ... lol not having a go mate.. but, sure they are Laws... but its not like putting an illegal modification on your car is a haneous crime... i put an atmo bov on last week, sure its illegal, but i don't see myself as a criminal, however i do acknowledge that they are against the law and take full responsibility if i get caught!
  14. when you learn on a manual.. you ACTUALLY lear how to drive unlike just getting your steering lisence (read: Auto) its scary to think how people (mainly people who have driven auto, and never manual) think its just as easy as throwing a moveable gear selector and clutch into the equation... its far more difficult then that nce you get the hang of it its alot easy, sure .. but you then have to pracice and become good i certainly wouldnt suggest trying to drive a manual with absolutly no experience in a controlled environament -Ruffels
  15. hmm duno why everyone is so scared to cut and polish... i borrowed a mates rotary polisher and cut my car using that and Maguiers fine cut ... and then hand polished and buffed... worked a treat, made the paint look and feel brand new! only thing to be carefull with when using the rotary polisher are the seals.. other then that i dont know how you can go wrong -Ruffels
  16. ohk.. i didnt get full comp for this reason.. because i thought it would be a watse of money to hand over my $3k and have the good chance that they wont pay out.... however... the reason they will happily give you insurance is because .......... """" IT IS 'NOT' ILLEGAL TO OWN ONE OF THESE CARS""""...... just illegal to drive them.. which is what everyone seems to be forgetting... so if your R33/34, gst-t/gtr for example gets stolen from your driveway at ngiht while you are asleep... they cannot use the power/weight technicality to not payout.. because you were not driving it... you could just say it sits in your driveway all day everyday looking pretty.!!!! it is only if an addident occurs while you are behind the wheel of one of these cars as a P plater i decided to take the risk.. i know some may not agree with it.. however i choose to look at it as an infringement.. not breaking the law lol.. so it makes me feel better about it anyways enough of my ranting.. illegla to drive.. not own the end -Ruffels
  17. hello do you have the left hand passenger vent ? if you do i dibs it thanks -Ruffels
  18. ohk.. im sure we have 5 now ive been hanging out for one of these for months cheers -Ruffels
  19. hmm dissapointing to see this.... but its shit like this that is gonna probably force me to sell my car before i even get to my P's
  20. yup im still up for one cheers
  21. mmm must say this is true... im still on my L's which makes it even sadder when people try and drag off an L plater.... but majority of the time i hvae excels, lancers, mirages, you name it .. try and line me up ... i just think to myself that unless they have some crazy sleeper engine job under the bonet.. they have no chance.. so i smile to myself and then take off at aprox 1200 revs with 2k changers.... while thier tin'y little 4 banger screams its way past me lol -Ruffels
  22. not allways true my first car was and still is my R33 gts-t .. paid $18k for it .. have had it 5 months.. was scarey handing over $18k of my hard earnt cash.. but i have not regretted it at all since just depends how much you want it and how hard youve worked for it i spose -Ruffels
  23. oh sorry mate the cars pretty stock standard... just k&n pod and bleeder running 10psi.. other then that... its stockasarock mechanically and i dont think its ever been modded in the past.. there are no signs of a front mount, or anything else like that i ran it on the dyno not to long ago and got 151.3kw@wheels which wasnt to bad.... so its not like is running underpowered etc... not that that is relavent... lol so yeah... catchcan and a bloody good clean out of the pipes it is...i dont know what oil i have in there as the previous owner put new stuff in there when i bought the car... ive done about 4500km's since i bought the car so i think its time for some new oil.... so i shall use that oil you recommended *sorry bout any lack of info that i have provided lol, still new to the skyline game.. its my first car and im just getting my head around it* -Ruffels
  24. i wiped it all nice and clean about 2 weeks ago... and i checked again today and its still clean.. so it must be a very small gradual build up so there isnt ALOT of oil coming out only a very small amount that seeps out every once in a while and puts a small film of oil in spots around the bleeder...... im gonna take of the intake piping this week and have a god look at the amount of oil in the pipes.... im hoping its just the seal on the turbo and nothing more major -Ruffels
  25. I have to agree with everything this man has just said..... and allthough we all recieve wakeup calls from TAC ads etc... its the reality i suppose but what mike lowry just said addresses allmost everything i believe about the issues surrounding young drivers... especially considering that i am one of them.. although i only have my L's im actually quite annoyed that you have to have your probationary lisence before you can attend any driver training courses, as i am hanging out to do them... i saved for many yeas working 2 jobs as well as school to afford my skyline and i bought the car 7 months before i turn 18 so i can get plenty o practice in it... unlike the many people i hear of that get thier L's at 17 and six month..have a few lessons and go for thier lisence... i got my L's at 16 ... i hve 2 months before i am 18 and can go for my Lisence, the recommended amount of hours to do whilst learning is 120hours... ive done approx 550... in every whether condition, from snow/ice to fog, rain, torential rain, sunny day,darkness,... and every combination but for some reason the negitive stroetype of young drivers in high performance cars has been imprinted on everyones forhead... no joke ive literally had old women come up to me in shopping centre carparks and off the side of the road when ive either gotten in or out of my car... and shake thier fists at me angrily, saying "you shouldnt have on of these, your goning to crash it" etc... the amount of "daddy paid for it huh?" comments i get also annoys me... but we wont go there anyways lol theres my little rant *Theres allways an exception to the rule, in this case i like to think i'm the exception, im not saying that im not going to have some form of accident, how ever, i like to think my chances of not, are far greater then the kids who pick up thir brand new skyline the day they get thier lisence * -Ruffels
