AlexCim went to Maltech and got them custom made - they now do them for Stagea's. He had an accident, I bought his brake parts so thats where these came from. Contact Maltech in VIC and get prices; not expensive & good value IMO.

good info I've found that simply using stainless steel braided brake lines front and rear has improved the braking 100fold. That and front slotted DBA rotors off the shelf, with new stnd Bendix pads. very very very very good and sufficient braking right there ^ at bugger all cost and heartache definately a "performance" upgrade in my opinion. all you have to do is provide your insurance broker a list of all your mods and its all good (I use Shannons).

mine will part with me for 30k

Making Your Stagea A Fuel Miser
Tangles replied to groonsnout's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
driving off-boost helps the fuel economy !! true tho. -
looks fantastic. seems a good price - is that for adjustable shocks and springs ? Im happy with my Bilsteins though.... very smooth ride using stnd springs For the Ohlins suspension, jippa, IMO the brand is the best in the world when it comes to adjustable shocks. definately servicable for sure. get em regassed and enjoy the ride.

Are Stagea And Gtr Radiators The Same?
Tangles replied to unique1's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
im using an r33 gtst radiator core..... -
I just ordered this: http://www.ttzed.com/products/products_det...g&do=detail Will get Boostwerx to do the job..... poor souls. apparently with autos you can do it via the glove box (degas/regas a/c). Currently my unit is disconnected and bypassed. All the fluid from the core found its way thru my carpets

I Thought Slides Hiflows Hold 19psi?
Tangles replied to R33GOD's topic in General Automotive Discussion
16psi max seems a bit low for the turbo, thought youd be able to squeeze a cple more out of it. Ive got the same spec unit as you. being auto with piggybacks/stnd.injectors its about 40rwkw lower then yours at same boost. Mines got more in it tho. bet you one thing tho - its bloody awesome on the street 'ey? if it aint broke dont fix it, or sell it and buy a name-brand item. for the price they are a good buy, understandable tho youd be pissed with the setup you have not being able to run that extra 1-2psi now and then. at the end of the day tho its just a power figure on a dyno, how it drives is another matter....................................................... my Stagea is pretty much just nowfinished with the mods, very happy with my turbo choice selection. could have done better for twice the price but had a budget to stick to and will never regret using a Slide highflow. rounds off my overall package quite nicely. -

nice good ol 'Dayz bodykit, .... no sunroff tho. oh thats right no sun anyway so no probs LOL where to start with the mods? SAFC-II for the fuel/air ratio. get new Oxygen sensor (screws into the dump pipe), nice highflow panel air filter, do the ol' 3" turbo back exhaust and fmic (I cut the front numberplate area off my Dayz front bar), bleed valve, and tune the piggyback. cheap way to start the mods... then to mags/suspn and brakes lol. have fun !!!

in regards to Spring tension on BOV.... I just got a GFB Stealth FX bov for $200, fitted it up no probs. using 100% 'silent' plum back mode. this is on an auto (piggybacks) awd rb25det. works fine. Sounds, well, weird...... Now my query - what setting would be best for Spring tension? It is adjustable, 22 half turns in all from full - to +. had it set at 50% half tension but have upped it to around 80%. Not sure what the best spring tension rate would best suited for 1bar boost, load of torque / midrange, low top end. ? Plus its too hard (wrong as well) to test on the street as to what setting to spring pressure does what. Im 2mins from the Hills so Ive done a little driving and playing around but Id like opinions as to what spring pressure rate should be applied to the bov to suit a Slide journal-bearing turbo at 1bar on an auto tuned RB25det ? My last mod will be the HKS actuator, hopefully then it will hold boost steadier rather then drop boost as it did with stock bov (tuned 1month ago). I only really bought the GFB bov to see if it would help hold boost better then the stock bov, I think it does. Plus for the price I could onsell it and not lose out so it was worth a try. I like it cheers

bov could be dodgy ?

yup 3" GTR racing Kakimoto muffler (for $75 delivered - cheers WA SAu dude) is where its at! Stagea sounds something like this only with louder turbo
-
hahahaha will do. did a recording on my mobile phone as I was testing. cant hear the 'flutter' sound under off-acceleration with only mild boost. with full bost all you hear are big "whooshes" but its the flutter that sounds funny. like a wrx with a dogbox and megaphone-atmo bov. not hugely audible but its there. just need to add a small correction to the safc up at around 6000rpm, got a little ping. funny shite. gone from wanting to keep it quiet to hiflow turbo, pod, whooshy bov, rumbling Kakimoto muffler, etc. makes a fair old racket now. sounds cool tho
