hey Mr Whippy, nice clean 'line dude yeah, picking it up later today I believe...... had to replace the water pump. tuning this arvo I believe. on that note, saw nick's grey stag up at boostwerx yesterday too
-
f**king GWW (marion rd) charged me $1200 2yrs ago for a full timing belt, water pump etc 100,000km service job got the car in at Boostwerx today (got nothing but high praise for Troy and Shaun), been losing fluid hardcore. water pump needs replacing. I bet 2fknhundrey that GWW never replaced the water pump.................... overcharging bastards they are. rang em up, after having 2 tunes previously - $500-600 for tune (boostwerx - $200). I figured then they were over chargers, and since sampling Boostwerx in March this year for the first time, well, I wont ever be going anywhere else. Certainly not GWW If you are reading this BW; dude, why overcharge your customers, and dont do work that has been charged? That spells "losing customers" and ffs youve lost me thats for sure. end rant. SO f**kING STRESSED WITH THE KNEE OP ON THURS7AM FFS

last March or April (yes, 2006) I bought AlexCims' front slotted rotors (brand new) and front/rear used maltech braided lines. they are getting fitted up today :laughing-smiley-014: Think they set me back $600 delivered ? cant recall. FiNaLlY, anyway, FiNaLlY installed today (along with cam gear, all fluids flushed, new water pump - grrrrr, and a tune) I use Bendix heavyduty pads at the rear with stnd rotors and Bendix advance pads for the front (150 delivered for all new pads). Using 2 bottles of Castrol super response dot4 brake fluid to bleed and flush. I imagine when I pick up the Stagea from the dynotune tomorrow the brakes will be fine for my applications (fri/sat night AdelaideHills runs, weekend daily city traffic), although could be better. Obviously. But meh.

ska had the 044 installed to his stagea prior to sale. I believe the installers had to modify the stnd bracket a little to make fit better shoot him a pm

dude Ive read every word. a few times. as I said, I didnt feel my comments would go down that well, but its a public forum and I decided to make comment nonetheless. I still feel there is a small onus of responsibility on the buyer (in terms of doing some research themselves, and knowing what can be done / cant be done); same as for a car accident & insurance- you can be 100% completely in the right, but the insurance mob will argue you were 5% in the wrong 'just by being there' however it sounds as if you have covered your behind quite well, well done to you, Id say you'll come out of this "ok" at the end of the day; spend up big with the legal-eagles thats for sure. hopefully you can get back most of your costs.

Ive got 6x9s 3-way 240w Pioneer speakers in the front doors, but we disconnected the factory tweeters Rear doors have 180w 6" round speakers (forget the brand) in the Boot I have a Clarion amp mated to a box which houses the Clarion 10" sub, installed passenger side between wheel-well and wagon door, is strapped down but can easily be taken out with a couple of "clicks" 6-stacker Clarion cd is under the front passenger seat and Clarion tape headunit in normal spot. Going to junk the 6stack and headunit soon for a USB headunit only sound in the stagea rocks !! love that BASS

keep it to the streets I say more govt revenue less population Ive had my rb25det for 2 yrs now and still have not had the OPPORTUNITY to try a 1/4 mile time. grrrrr

exactly the reason why I bought a pre-complied Stagea....... although I understand in this case that generally isnt possible (due to late model) however, the purchaser simply HAS to cop some of the blame IMO; the information is freely available to all and sundry and states what year/month M35 is complaible. mind you, if you are paying a fee (and this fee was pre paid) to an importing service for the "service" of doing the importation, then yes you'd legally expect the paid-for service would be "above board" and once you've received said service you'd have a nice fresh complied M35 Stagea
-
I hate to be the bastard out of all of this; but isnt it Buyer Beware? There is plenty of info out there in regards to compliance, dotars, raws, revs etc. In fact I was fairly certain pre this thread that a M35, to be safe, should be around year model 2001 if you really wanted to bring one in. Id say legally the purchaser of this uncomplibale motor vehicle will be ok at the end of the day, but a court of law may also rule that the purchaser didnt look 'enough' for the available information himself.............. * gets flame suit on *

man I cant believe it ! that sux to hear. got insurance? is it alarmed? shite.

spending a grand on a fmic is a bit costly. utilize your r34 gtt larger smic for now IMO. Bosch 040 fuel pump - $220 delivered or Bosch 044 fuel pump - $300 delivered Z32 AFM - $300 new or $200 second hand (ebay?) Nismo adjustable FPR - $175 delivered (nengun) adjustable cam gear exhaust wheel - $90 (group buy thread) install and retune at Boostwerx - $300 all up roughly $1000-1200 for the above, or $1000 for a brand name cooler id do the mods
-
all the best with it dude. hope the family is looking after you. hows bubs ?

easy Apexi GT Hybrid intercooler half tube/fin half bar/plate is a return air feed type cooler, generally made for the 180sx apexi have since taken the product off their website so I cant link you to it you'll find them on ebay or yahoo auctions Mine came from ebay Japan, paid around $250USD for it, plus $100USD for a aluminium 3" pipe kit, plus 3-ply silicone joiners from JustJap (half price to autobarn, blue TermalPly brand, not the cheap red shit in the above pic) and expensive bolt style hose clamps from an irrigation place (using 2x clamps per join). All up would have come to $600aud I guess, plus my time to install it all. Didnt have to cut a thing from the car, just that I cut the dayz front bar where the numberplate sits, to open her right up. Obviously cut the pipe kit to suit. ARC do a great performing smic Trust and Blitz make a return air feed unit, looking at a grand for either of these options. Apexi ftw !!!! as for performance, the apexi is all good for at least 220rwkw.

damn overheating !! thanks for the water bottles; much appreciated. Ive now 5L of radiator coolant in the boot only happened (boiled the radiator fluid) after prolonged period of boost, normal driving is fine I reckon it therefore might be a slightly "not tight enough" turbo water line. grrr hard to get under the car with dodgy knees.

License Suspesion Question!
Tangles replied to Spunky Munky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
borrow a 49cc scooter for the next 4months follow that up; I think you might legally be allowed to ride under 50cc motorbike without a license in terms of driving with no license; imagine the repercussions if you had an accident, which caused loss of life and/or impairment of ability to a person. how could you live with yourself ? -
I hope so, because I see -1.0 on my boost guage then I see +1.0
-
thats fine dont run to me tho *if* the clutch/engine dont last past the 6th day in all seriousness, Id be keeping it.

thank you VERY much mate if your mate needs some one to bounce ideas off, etc, grab me and I'll pass on my msn details. Id recommend motorbike riding; kept me sane and gave me something to look 4ward to every weekend. better yourself with every ride, a bit like sport in a way. mentally the first few years (say 5?) after realizing you cant reach your sporting goals due to serious injury are very very tough. my goal was to play 1sanfl game and without doubt I would have made that goal. my other goal was to help whatever team I play for win the southern footy league premership, and yeah while you cant say it would have happened, well, you never know..... they were my dreams, and I worked so damn hard towards them, still cuts me up to this day to not be able to take the pack mark, kick the 50m laceout chest pass, get the tap in the centre square and follow it up with a huge tackle and quick handball. every game I was improving. wasnt often I didnt earn some cash from the best players list. yup, last kneecap out and bigarsed wedge thru the tibia - better out then in for sure, in this case. cant wait LOL 13 days and counting "it hurts mummy oh how it hurts" yeah f**k oath. cant sleep. suxorz to be me. lucky I have a beaut wife and 2 kids to keep me sane. high tibial tubercle osteotomy http://www.kneeguru.co.uk/dictionary/doku....aquet-procedure patellectomy http://www.kneeguru.co.uk/dictionary/doku.php/p/patellectomy what gets me with this is the fact that I'll have NO kneecaps in either leg, and in 10yrs or so will require total knee replacements, which arnt as successful in patients with no kneecaps LOL my surgeon reckons it'll be ok and he gets results, BUT he wont be around in 10yrs time arrrghhh, but anyways have to treat the NOW and not worry about the LATER

lol why no, no I wouldnt Id look for a 750w unit like a Thermaltake Toughpower, or even a SuperFlower Aurora 750w hehehehe all good, got 10 watchers for it on ebay atm (shamless plug for the winnnnnah)
