  1. talk to Brett West about tuning your current ecu, they were (last time I had my Stagea tuned there) the autronic dealer and were pushing me in that direction, lack of funds made my decision rather easy ! APE (Adelaide Performance Engineers) A division of Graham West Workshops Pty Ltd 668 Marion Road Park Holme South Australia 5043 Phone 08 8277 5688 Fax 08 8374 3431 Email [email protected]
  2. there are plenty of documents out there available for the public google cant set up speed detection devices on bends, on slopes, on areas with a lot of concrete, near signs, across lanes of traffic, cant hide the cameras either - they need to be clearly visable, etc etc etc, cops still do all the above tho. It is written into their regulations and guidlines on how to operate these units. good luck fighting it tho. use your right, take it to court.
  3. our work van (Toyota Hiace) is $950 odd have 2 of them, one is 2ys old and the other is around 7yrs old ridiculous! my stagea just came up as we speak - $658 for 12 months my bike was over $500 for a .92Litre engine, now thats ridiculous! Costs are eating up my wage, pretty depressed about the state of today's cost of living. Health insurance is 3grand a year Morgage is 11grand a year Rego for 2 cars, plus insurance on 2 cars and house, is 4grand a year Food budget is around 10grand a year for a family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids - actually I give the wife $800pm for shopping and her needs) add in fuel, add in electricity, add in gas, add in phone and internet, and my wage doesnt cover it all. Need to rely on the Govt. "family allowance" to help get by, and Ive been at my company for 10yrs almost, working fulltime for around 13yrs now........ Pretty sad state of affairs
  4. roger - I hear you there.... saved for a while to 'afford' some suspn goodies from the group buy. didnt bother with springs (have some, lol, stnd is fine, didnt have the money) and the rear bilsteins I got were slightly used so got a better price on those. But the stnd struts were well past their use by date, safety factor etc with kiddies. I guess I made myself afford the upgrade !!! good luck with the upgrades tho, little by little, but then again modifying a car is 'hardly' worth it, I suppose.
  5. AWD.... thats my personal choice anyway. feels soooooooo safe in the wet, thru the twists n turns, at pace.
  6. I had an awesome time, was looking forward to it all weekend. My son Coen had a great time as well, being my codriver and all that - yes he wants to race cars, bump the enemies off the road, only as long as his car is green tho LOL I peeled off at the Clarendon turnoff as it was 5mins to home for me from there (Morphett Vale), so Im not too sure where ppl's might have ended up at the end of the cruise...... Did we take the wrong road out of Strath back into Meadows? Either way both roads (Paris Creek rd, which we took, or the Bull Creek rd, my favourite road in Aussieland) would have been perfect. The road into Strath from Mtbarker which we took, thru maccelsfield, is a beauty hey !! Gets slippery tho but I was pleased to see every driver was taking it carefully and not doing anything silly. These areas were my bike haunts so while I know them at a flat out pace no probs, its a bit different in a wagon!! :laughing-smiley-014: Cheers, had a great arvo. Nice pics. Nice cars. Nice peeps too.
  7. Niiiice congrats all :sorcerer:
  8. definately ! the roads into and out of Strathalbyn were "nicely" paced good to see my Stag kept up power wise with the best of them - great to know handled brilliantly thru the faster twists as well
  9. pic from todays cruise; great to meet you !!
  10. great cruise, tops to see quite a few turnup. very nice cruise, excellent organisation of the route, etc....... (lets just say I know those roads like the back of my hand, every weekend was spent riding them for the past 9yrs, gotta take it easy tho on a cruise; I thought everyone was very well behaved - good stuff boys n girls) (not bad quality pics from a camera phone - new nokia 6233 with 2mp camera)
  11. some settings have been posted in the stagea section. search Tangles + SAFC or Tangles + SITC not sure if it'll help you tho meh get it tuned properly on the dyno anyways..... I simply got my tuner to install and tune, install cost $180 all up (along with car alarm install, o2 sensor rewire, z32 afm rewire)
  12. Ive set up a car nail bomb behind the drivers seat... if the de-alarm button isnt set and someone tries to start the car without dealarming it, BOOOOM headshot. I forgot to dealarm it today........... fkn hurts, got a nail wedged behind my ear now meh to car theft. insure the car for as much as possible IMO.
  13. in the next few weeks I'll be taking my stag to MV Autos (SA, Blackwood) for a full trans service, flush 'n new fluid, and a stage 2 shift kit. cant wait. hitting (and holding) onto the limiter in first...... stupid highflow turbo
  14. hahahaha I put $4 in the car wash sprayers and am happy with that. oooo reminds me, got heapds of red road spray grit from the end of the sthn expressway, all over my front bar. better go use some bug/tar remover on it right now !!!
  15. dunno what cha on about.... talk to Sydneykid and buy his "groupbuy" stagea suspension setup front and rear adjustable Whiteline swaybars front and rear Whiteline bush kits front and rear Bilstein shocks with circlips use stnd suspension springs. fkn awesome then get the turbo highflowed, full free flowing exhaust, fmic, boost to 1.1bar, tune with safc and fuel pressure regulator and z32 afm. 200awkw right there with handling to boot - fkn easy
  16. LOL Yup thatd be me, pleasure to talk to you. Used to work with Kay Low back at the carrington street showroom many eons ago; what a dirty whore !

  20. thieves dont carry 2 x 30amp OEM fuses with them, simple as that.
  21. have the fuel pump with a direct wire feed to the battery. pop the bonnet, take out the fuses, and whola no car start.
  22. I went to Graham Wests on Marion Rd (near daws rd) for that job.... a bit expensive I feel tho. Now I use Boostwerx, would recommend them
  23. sa-sau cruise on sunday, Burnside Town Hall (greenhill / portrush rds) at 12.30pm...... might see you there no, the attessa wont be damaged as yet, but just letting you know to be aware, thats all.
  24. attessa costs 5k to fix. get tyres exactly the same diameter........... definately. well done on picking up your new hobby tho !
  25. dont worry about it mate enjoy the end result; thats what it is allllll about :sorcerer:
