  1. great units, good value too. glad I got one thats for sure
  2. K&N offer a lifetime warranty (ie 1million kms), I use them and have for years. I use twin pods on my rebuilt CBR919RR engine, wouldnt use anything but K&N on that highly stressed engine with race flatslide carbies. I use a single pod on my 190rwkw Rb25det, oil it every 6 months. When washing / cleaning / re-oiling the K&N filter, take off the afm and spray it with brake contact cleaner, to get rid of the last 6months oily residue.......
  3. sorry I couldnt make it, was stupidly busy over the past handful of weekends (deceased estate cleanup) saw some of the cars heading towards Myponga(?) down old South Rd after we'd been looking at houses........... - was envious, to say the least! next one, I'll definately be there. umm, perhaps, maybe, got another knee surgery next month damnnit
  4. yup they even do custom 450cc or 470cc ones. for RB auto's with safc/sitc they would be easily tuneable................
  5. pm sent not interested in any other vehicles for part trades advertised in The Advertiser on saturdays only for $7700 thats the price funny how 20 ppl can try to bargain me down with $$ but not 1 is prepared to see it and ride it first. weird
  6. Barry Dawson - Code name the cougar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-ekRzITTnY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7zZbTC6UCA
  7. Wanted to Buy Items: rear muffler packed and baffled but free-flowing 3inch inlet 3inch outlet centre to centre setup Extra Info: mild steel is fine stainless steel ok 100ct gold would be nice Contact Details: PM me. Price and price conditions: not too expensive
  8. hey mate :sorcerer: havent given it a good ol fashioned thrashing as yet, will report back once Ive had a look at whats going on. boost comes on at 99kmsph in top gear looks to be coming on pretty much as per the stock standard turbo - I believe that the SITC helps bring boost on a little bit quicker than normal. around 2300rpm? its boosting to 14psi pretty quickly but then falls way back to 10psi due to the restrictive muffler I agree with your last sentance too, very responsive thru the midrange and top end, feels very quick. would be better with a good muffler tho. perhaps a resonator and cannon is the cheapest option, although I'll get prices for a local crowd to weld up a Magnaflow race 3inch inlet/outlet centre/centre. they are $81USD plus $75USD shipping on ebay, will see if a local shop can better that price. overpowered - that dyno graph is insane. care to share what happened with the engine ?
  9. LOL here in Aus tho your insurance is void if you take out the airbag without an engineers certificate hence why im definately interested in perhaps a Momo replacement airbag steering wheel, if they are of smaller diameter
  10. thank you all kindly for the information you have provided. great info Darrin, cheers 'brother Even tho Id be taking away the airbag (say with a $100 autotechnica steering wheel) Id need a boss kit to suit airbag? MRO if you could post up the diameter of a 'stnd' Momo airbag wheel that'd be awesome. if they are smaller than my current wheel Id go that way i guess.
  11. barry dawson was my mother he's not anymore tho, I think he changed the lawsof physics or something like that to get around child support payments
  12. Hi guys, after some help. My knees are REAL bad, back on morphine so it aint all rosy. Decided that I need a little more leg room for my right leg (acelerator / brake) Will get a Boss kit and a basic aftermarket steering wheel - will need an engineers report due to insurance and removal of airbag. What kind of Boss Kit fits a 97 Stagea? An R33 kit, series 1 or 2 (if such a thing) or a R34 kit? Have no idea. If anyone can help, with known part numbers, retailers etc thatd be great
  13. lol $25.01 I'll give familia gtr an extra / bonus 10c tip to learn how to use the classifieds section
  14. ever noticed how Barry Dawson looks very much like Chuck Norris ? Id suggest barry is chuck's elder brother therefore Barry Dawson > Chuck Norris
  15. classic !
  16. my apologies using a standard R33 turbocharger, highflowed by Slide Stage 1 (?) rated at 250rwkw at 1bar
  17. definately not kidding, lol sounds like roughly the same area, between pipes 3 and 4 it is split in two. these guys did a hell of a better job with the tune then the last place........
  18. my exhaust manifold was snapped in two when we replaced the gasget and studs (tuned the slide highflow to 190rwkw @ 14psi) snapped in two LOL quite a site check yours for leaks, splits etc
  19. yeah, I wont be. very happy with there level of service. ended up being a $800 experience, exhaust manifold was definately snapped clean in half, quite a site. replaced with stock, and a stockish radiator. new exhaust studs, redid all the intercooler piping (they asked who did it, dodgy me lol!) for me, tuned. the rear muffler is hugely restrictive (sooooo quiet), was going to replace over xmas but didnt so now I will get a higher flowing item when possible, and have the adj.exhaust cam wheel installed, all tuned to 16psi. would expect around 210+ rwkw then. but for now, it feels super responsive....... comes on boost so nicely, cant tell this is a 1900kg vehicle (full wet weight + me). for cube's analization: almost quick enough for a family wagon, but time to shop ebay; muffler lol :sorcerer:
  20. well, $800 later. was going to be a grand but they did me a good deal. can recommend Boostworx for sure. exhaust manifold was snapped clean in half, replaced with same, busted radiator when I stopped the car in front of the workshop, replaced with slightly thicker GTst unit, new exhaust studs, redid all the intercooler pipes (lol they asked who fitted it hahaha - me ! dodgy home job) for me, all's running well, bar the RESTRICTIVE rear muffler. Knew I should have changed it back over xmas. Will get an oval 3inch straight thru muffler, have the adjustable exhaust cam wheel fitted, and retune to 16psi. 21. lol yeah I'll see it abit later today hopefully, not sure exactly on the end result, but by the sounds of it either way the manifold is SHAGGED, split, kaput. just replacing with a stnd one, but still there goes some wasted ca$h hey
  22. bah ! get to boostworx today, car engine hot as *%#@ coolant leaking out, temp guage sky high and smoke from engine. Lol; busted radiator, right on time, replacing with thicker item. take off turbo and manifold and the manifold drops into 2 pieces, was split in two. only done 100km since I last had the car here as I knew it was sick. Lol; replacing with a standard unit as I reckon a cheap stainless steel jobby isnt worth while. expensive day, looks like shell cost me a grand all up. pressure test radiator, shagged, get replacement thicker item, fit, flus and fill, take off pipework, manifold splits in two, get replacement same item, drill out and replace all exhaust studs, fit new manifold gasget, replace etc etc, install (perhaps, time permitting) adjustable exhaust cam gear pulley, drop front driveshaft and tune safc / sitc for the Slide highflow turbo. Im awaiting for another phone call from Shaun, lol, you never know. better be reliable after this, Im broke ! new battery for the bike today (advertiser tomorrow, $7700), doctors and painkiller script, mates up for dinner (chinese & carton bourbs) very expensive day, lol. damned 'lucky' so to speak I didnt pay the mortgage this month Tehehehehe
  23. awesome Brad, thats an insane figure mine is in for the tune tomorrow, dont know exactly what to expect
  24. cheers mate yeah its an absolute joke - I cant even drive to work in the city now without being in insane pain for the day, and then do it again to get home. going to have a final ride on friday, she'll be ready for sale on saturday. too cheap, but thats the way it goes I suppose - considering I built this bike NEVER to be sold. * runs away and crys *
