agreement. I used a R34 smic for a no more than a handful of months I dont think its a worthwhile 'upgrade' at all. Only if you need the vehicle to 'look' 100% stock But then again, if you must have a smic, go for an ARC brand (off ebay) side mount. bees knees right there

Ive got the basic Stage1 Slide RB25 highflow. fitted up no probs, used a braided oil line. very very loud, I have a pod in a cai box with a heap of sound deadening foam in there, very loud tho. and thats with a restrictive exhaust (muffler), cant go past 14psi as it has too much backpressure get the blowoff sounds but I dont believe I have any flutter at 14psi she only has 190kw but goes very very nicely, very happy with the turbo; price / quality / result

cheers yeah everything is done that needs to be done will give it a stickful tonight with a fresh tank of Vpower fuel, and listen intently oh well, will add the Kakimoto 3"muffler I just bought for $65 and have the tune touched up, when possible.

so you reckon a big restriction CAN cause detonation in the higher rpm areas? been really worrying me. care to share your thoughts on this? Im only thinking its pinging as it sounds like a tinfull of nuts/coins at high rpm (+5000rpm), like something is loose but I highly doubt that. sat bolt upright in bed on sunday night with the thought that its most likely the sound of dreaded pinging. yeah, just paid a SAU member $65 for a Kakimoto 3inch exhaust, delivered from WA. was going to go for a Magnaflow, can get a new one for $160 fitted but the wallett is too damned tight atm.

query: had car tuned at Boostworx. cant boost past 14psi as the rear muffler is creating a huge restriction, backpressure etc Umm, can that lead to detonation? ie too much backpressure / not enough exhaust gasses getting out / leading to detonation (pinging) in the higher rpm area's of 1st/2nd/3rd gears ? its pinging

I waited 3 months for my turbo. the deal was I wasnt in a hurry for it, so every time we chatted via msn or pm Aaron would inform me that mine was next and id say nah its all good, take it easy, no rush, no rush whatsoever. one day he reported that no, mine was on top of the list no matter how many times I said no rush, lol at the end of the day, you'll ALWAYS get what you paid for from Slide, in a very professional manner. awesome bloke dont stress is all I'll say.

Ive got the SK kit; shocks, swaybars, pinepples, front castor. using standard Stagea springs. ride is awesome quality. very very nice. IMO lowred aftermarket spings arnt a neccesity with the Bilstein shocks and circlips

my slide highflow, on a 1800kg Stagea incl driver, has no 'noticble' lag worth mentioning even with only 190rwkw (auto) it goes like a 1eyed trouser snake I had a huge crack thru the manifold tho, causing it to not hold boost. replaced with a stnd manifold and all is, well, perfect good luck with it mate, and yeah most on here do seem to be whizz know-how kids. sweeet, what a great site for friendly advice :sorcerer:

lookn good Steve-0 just use the drive in carwash stations myself now, costs $4 for an awesome chemical-hosedown got some of those mitten things you mention for xmas, and dipped in a bucket of rain water they do help the car come up real nice and shiney.

sub boxes fit in the area between the boot door and the wheel-well. depending on size of course. pleanty of room left over for prams, nappy bags, shopping etc

3inch highflow muffler, wanted. not canon prefer oval design used is fine must be high flowing, current muffler is hugely restrictive under $100 delivered to Adelaide. answer via Pm with photo and offered price.
