  1. Graham West Workshops (APE; Adelaide Performance Engineers) did my timing belt etc and a tune on their 4wd dyno, see Brett West. However I now use Boostwerx, talk to Shaun and get a price.
  2. by gods! mate, are you all ok? thats so sad to see......
  3. saw them rock the Adelaide Uni bar back in either 95 or 96. Cant recall the actual year, lol, although I remember the beer ran out after a cple of hours. Man that evening rocked! 2nd best concert ever (behind Pearl Jams 1st Adelaide concert in Memorial Drive)
  4. lol ^^ meh - personally I just cant get into mags n books n vids etc. Just aint my thing. hang on, uuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmm - we are talking about Beastiality, right ? goats n horses etc ?
  5. yeah if I had $35k cash Id be tempted.......... definately worth more than 30k. but its all determined by the market (ie the buyer) and what they are prepared to offer. 35k seems realistic for the detailed Autech beast of a stagea
  6. Im sorry for you loss mate. May your friend rest in peace.
  7. lol open Windows press Start button (bottom left hand corner) press All Programs (just above the Start once you've pressed it) press Accessories then press Paint voila, done.
  8. got my Kakimoto $40 3inch hiflow muffler fitted the other day. fuch she sounds awesome ! bit rumbly for my absolute liking, but sounds like a true RB now
  9. SITC's are worth it mate, with the auto. they do reduce the turbo lag effect, slightly, once tuned. they make a difference. look youve got a nice safc tune already, grab the sitc ($220usd off ebay) and have it installed and retuned. figure out what sort of boost you want to run and work around that, telling the tuner to work on response, but surely a minimum of 1bar is called for - its not as if you can always use it in adelaide traffic anyway, but its good to have it when you want it. currently I have 190rwkw at 14psi dropping to 12psi as the muffler is a huge restriction. welding a highflow muffler on this arvo, hopefully, for $80. then fitting the exhaust cam gear wheel and have a final tune tune tune, up it from 14 to 15 and hopefully it holds steady, and Id expect around that 220rwkw mark utilising a freely flowing exhaust (incl adj cam gear) and intake (using return air feed apexi cooler and a cai with pod using snorkel and radiator air guide) with highflow slide turbo, adj fuel pressure regulator and direct battery-fed large fuel pump, z32 afm, sitc and safc. response will be fantastic without doubt. with the 190rwkw tune she is nice and docile in traffic never building boost if you dont want it (saving fuel), or rips thru to 14psi with a niiice surge in power/torque. a true street sleeper. with the slight increase in boost, highflow Kakimoto muffler and the exhaust cam gear wheel I have no doubt that the Stagea will be a true pleasure to drive, and that turbo lag wont be a problem. SITC ftw!!11!!!111!!!
  10. Awseome ! nice pics
  11. Ive received an offer for $6500 Ive counter offered with $6750 incl front/rear race stands. a couple of days before a deal is done, sad times. So thereya go, a price has been set. If you want it make an offer now.
  12. cheers so much for the kind words, much apreciated sorry to hear about your 'incident', hope you're ok and it all works out. funny thing is Id get 11k now if the bike was to be wrecked/stolen etc. sad. and it cant sell for 7? I cant fathom it. such an awesome, beautiful bike. see http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=290108115250 for some pics
  13. sweet, Adelaide cruise. definately have to get it organised, there are a few Stageas getting around here now.
  14. hey its nice, without doubt thats some huge dish going on at the rear, thinking (personally) are they perhaps 1/2inch too wide? just the way the tyres sit on the rims, thats all. lower it a little (half an inch) and she'll be looking might FiN3
  15. thats what iCe does to you kiddies stick to the morphine
  16. +1 vote for Driving Miss Daisey gloves :laughing-smiley-014: lol my hands are so big, I get to grip the steering wheel twice-over. just call me 'olwrap-around
  17. Nice mate, good work. Not bad a price, interesting actually, I scored my S1 dayz 2yrs ago for $17800 (didnt get extra wheels, lol) that was with catback exhaust, pod, apexi boost guage and solenoid adjusted to 10psi Good pickup there in my opinion.
  18. I had a LT1600 1970's celica (being 6ft8 it was qite funy), loved it. In adelaide there is a nice 1970's LT2000 with turbo engine upgrade, suspn, brakes etc. Looks mean, its finished in a nice red paintjob. With the right driving style and the correct road/weather conditions, yeah that celica certainly could wipe a skyline thru some twisties. i think.
  19. made a video with my second account, ShockPaddlerMan http://www.savefile.com/files/591573 46meg download, funny shite Pendulum track, goes for 7mins
  20. http://www.savefile.com/files/591573 shockpaddlerman, 46meg download, 7mins worth of shock paddle kills in battlefield 2 (my 2nd account name) set to a Pendulum track, not too shabby.
  21. If its cheap, add a second had SAFC (either series 1 or 2) too it to ensure it isnt overly rich (or lean) dunno, bit of a hit and miss afair with tuned standard ecu's
  22. fishpaste that looks very clean, good find :sorcerer:
  23. doh, always thought it was safer to tune on a low-30deg day. I dont think the tune is too aggresive - knew before I went in that the muffler would most likely be a problem, its a lump of a thing and very quiet, dense etc, a big restriction when you've got a highflowed turbo attempting to pump out 1Bar. couldnt even flow that much. Shaun at boostworx said change the muffler and come back for a quick touchup of the tune, that was when I picked it up last month. fact is, I couldnt be happier with boostworx service etc, definately have no need to go anywhere else. Im thinking that perhaps something is rattling, just cant see what it is. only happens on hard boost from 5000+, sounds like a rattle like a bolt on tin, but my mind may have led me to wonder if its the sound of detonation?
  24. hey 4doorsleeper, good advice, been thinking that perhaps thats the route I should take. didnt realize tho Im not 18. hhmmm when did that happen? with the pinging, Im not too sure - hey ! it might be something slightly loose, perhaps heatshield is only 95% tight, time to have a fiddle. Im pretty happy with the tune/service from boostworx, cant fault it really. But they did inform me they couldnt do much with the top end due to the backpressure from the restrictive lump of a muffler. welding on a kakimoto muffler and will get a 1hr retune, she'll be sweet. think the bike will sell soon, 7grand only. but with the 13weeks LSL i get from september, a few months off will help the wife have her wrist surgery, and then take the time to find a good workplace, a new start after a decade in a small 4person business.
