  1. Nice result......... she went like a cut (trouser) snake before, bet she pulls a little harder now tho ! Hows the auto & cams going, happy with the end power result?
  2. Nup - another option SAFC-II plus a SITC, both from Apexi. One for the air/fuel and one for ignition timing Im quietly confident I'll be able to see over 240rwkw at 1bar from my RB25det once these piggybacks are tuned tro suit the new highflow turbo.
  3. from prestige motorsport: ******************************* Compliance for the M35 Stagea is now available so we're ready to find you the perfect Stagea today ! At the moment only the 2.5L turbo engined Stageas can be complied up to December 2003 models, with more models to be added in due course as emissions and model testing continues during 2007. The M35 has significant improvements over the previous model Stagea (C34), presenting a smoother and more refined appearance as well as better performance and fuel economy. Prices will start from about $21,000 complied, plus tyres and ORC's and will range up and over $30,000 for as new examples and special models. The non turbo models will be cheaper again, at well under $20,000. Clearly great value for money. For full details and some pictures, see our full article online at: http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/modul....php?storyid=23 The 2001+ model is a luxury 4-door wagon which was produced in 4WD with the 2.5L VQ25DET (NEO) engine. It has 280 ps (205.94 kw) @ 6400 rpm and max. torque of 406.98 Nm @ 3200 rpm making it a very interesting family wagon and sure to give Volvo wagon drivers a nice little surprise at the lights. We can of course source Stageas to order directly from auction just like any other model. Take a look at the Japanese Auctions Online (www1.prestigemotorsport.com.au) to see what is available at auction today, or ask for a FREE 7-day trial of our automated Auction Search System which delivers auction vehicles of interest to you by e-mail each morning. 4. Mr RS4 - great to see you back again mate...... still got a pic of your car on my HD (was in a yellowish well-lit carpark, looked sexy as!!) Brad, looks great mate. If you ever do sell those mags drop me a PM with a price. I think that the front bar looks ok as is tho, but hell its your car, lol.
  5. Nice work there lads. Im using the Apexi fmic suited for a 180sx, its a return air feed type, its made of both Tube-and-Fin and Bar-and-Plate design, so got the best of both worlds. There is no noticeble extra lag worthy of mentioning after the install (maybe a touch, but thats as to be expected). Once tuned tho the car performed very well. Now with the higflow turbo on, awaiting a tune, I expect it'll perform better, lol
  6. Yay, spotted a nice grey S1, with fmic mags etc, was behind me on a 2lane road, no other cars. I saw it in the rearview and immediately slowed right down to 20 in 80 zone and waved out the window. He came up along side, both of us with chessy ear2ear chesirecat grins, saying sweet ride and whatnot. Then he guns it, and I gun it.... lol. I won the street-legal speed drag (20 to 80, backed off at 79 lol) by a mere centimetre or 2, we were all (my 3yr old kid included) laughing our nuts off, made my day. Sweet ride there mate. Good to know that my untuned engine still works well, cosidering your car was obviously nicely setup, indeed.
  7. my SAFC-ii has 12 points set at rpm where you can adjust the fuel. I also have the SITC so I can adjust the ignition timing at 5 set points of the rpm range On the SITC I have 800rpm = 0 2,400rpm = +1 4,000rpm = +3 5,600rpm = +4 7,200 rpm = +4 Tangles Safc settings, on hi-throttle are: 1000 rpm + 21% 1600 rpm + 29% 2200 rpm + 44% 2800 rpm + 46% 3400 rpm + 49% 4000 rpm + 49% 4600 rpm + 46% 5200 rpm + 36% 5800 rpm + 38% 6400 rpm + 35% 7000 rpm + 35% 7600 rpm + 35% Safc settings, on lo-throttle are: 1000 rpm + 1% 1600 rpm + 21% 2200 rpm + 26% 2800 rpm + 31% 3400 rpm + 42% 4000 rpm + 44% 4600 rpm + 46% 5200 rpm + 47% 5800 rpm + 45% 6400 rpm + 44% 7000 rpm + 42% 7600 rpm + 42% Th-point settings are: Lo 19% Hi 20% These will be adjusted accordingly soon, hopeing for 240+rwkw at John Keens dyno, we'll see. Will book it in soon.
  8. OK - took the day off today to have a nice 4day weekend, why not, lol. Changed the sparkies from 1.1s nonamebrand to ngk copper BCPR6E pregapped to .8mm - knee has blown up like a watermelon tho, lol, damn you kneecap-less kee Its hard being over 2m tall with sore back/knees bending and undoing stuff-knows what to get at the sparkies Used the 401 industrial silicone sealer on the 2 longest sides of the coil packs (S2 rb25det) - query is should I put silicon over the two ends, one end is black plastic the other is see-thru plastic where you can see the electrical mumbojumbo stuff behind. Or should I then wind all the way around some good electrical tape (so its got the seams sealed with silicon and the ends wrapped in tape)?
  9. well Im not sure about the front wheel (looks standard to me?) - but say its stock front and highflowed rear, definately ok for 15psi (1bar). If its a proper highflow tho the most response would come from 16-19psi. as I said last post, 1bar and you'll be a happy chappy.
  10. GCG have definately high flowed the exhaust side of the turbo - got the big arsed wheel in there for a nice n steady 19psi of boosting! Not sure about the front tho, cant tell by the photo. For all I know its a standard front wheel and a highflow to the rear? Either or, a very tidy pickup for $450 mate. Set to 1bar there is no doubt that you'll be a happy chappy
  11. Yup!! Got my new sparkies, and wondered where the hell they go in the RB25det, LOL! Good ol DIY FAQ threads showed me the step by step procedure, and also the Silicone 101 trick, trying it all out tonight / tomorrow (dont have miss, but dont want a miss fire to develop when next tuned at 1bar)
  12. yeah, I sold my kneecap in order to keep my Stagea Bought mine up in Qld, was good to see it in the flesh and not have problems with compliance etc. Plus at that stage it was the cheapest in Australia, but IMO the best bargain (Dayz series 1 for 18k when stnd S1 were 20k plus, and S2 was 25k plus)
  13. Did a search on YellowPages.com.au and came up with: Harris Engine Services 12 Ilma St Bankstown NSW 2200 ph: (02) 9771 3432 Engine Reconditioning 1year is a hell of a long time to wait for an order. Must be pretty stressful when that 'order' is on the other side of the world and $$ has already changed hands. Next time ask for a 30day account, lol. If it was me in this position, Id be MIGHTY pissed. But its not, so I'll STFU right now.
  14. Id prefer the previous model Magna (the awd version) over the new Commodore, any day of the week. But then again, if (IF!!) I ever go back to the mundane Aussie 6/8 banger, I'd go for a 2ndhand BA XR6 Turbo thank you very much. VE Commodore = cat spew
  15. Highly recommend you talk to Pixl8r, he went down the EXACT SAME path as you (with a S2 Stagea). 1st mod was the GT30 turbo from ATS due to blowing the original.............
  16. LOL I got a highflow turbocharger for $100 more - now thats what I call worth it. S2 lights, unfortunately, do nothing for me.
  17. See my bike details below open to offers
  18. " a break from the pain " ..... mate, Ive lived like that for a long time, although swap endone for tramal. Only got onto the endone last winter, and Im glad now that I dont require painkillers now and then anymore, to have a break from the pain as you describe (never worked properly anyway, more of a relaxant type feeling rather then a loss of pain). Ummm, has she tried acupuncture? Perhaps even see a chiropractor?
  19. Golden Orb was clean, ie no goop, and there were 3 basic picture instructions. Wasnt much goop, but obviously enough to go out, down and into the cpu chip area, seeing that I didnt spread it out but let the pressure spread it across when the fan was screwed down. Cheers for the link Madaz, was on that page a little earlier but me silly ol'brain (at work, busy as per the norm) didnt register the cpu list was there, yeah I was sure the Pentium D Prescott range worked as well, thanks for the info lads.
  20. cheers man, hope you enjoy wetnwindy lil'ol Adelaide, today is normal - it always rains here
  21. Think I scratched the back of the mainboard when I installed the big arsed cpu fan. May have shaggd the mainboard, will know moe over the weekend. Ummmm, does anyone know what cpu chips are compatible in a Gigabyte GA-8I915P-D Pro mainboard? Currently using a Intel Pentium 4 775 3.4 ghz 650 chip (home pc). What is compatible with the 600-series chips (630 = 3.0, 640 = 3.2, 650 = 3.4, 660 = 3.6)? Some type of Prescott. If Ive shagged the mainboard of the work PC (EliteGroup L4S5MG3, with Pentium 4 775 3.2 ghz 640 chip), then work can have my GA unit and I'll get a new SLI mainboard for the home pc. If its the cpu thats gone I'll be after a replacement on Monday - Im sure some of the Prescott series can be used but unsure of what model.......
  22. ............ you actually know what a Stagea is
  23. Good idea Cubes, will wack back on the old hsf (damned noisy, like shes on boost lol, hence why I had to replace it, was giving me a daily headache here at work) and try that. Dont have a multimeter unfortunately. Cant get to bios as the screen wont hook up, PC starts, then restarts, then restarts, etc etc etc. Got a plan of attack for this weekend (retest with stnd hsf, retest with different cpu chip, etc) so we'll see where it takes me. As for highflows, how about chatting to Adelaide Turbo Services, Paul? Pixl8r got a GT30 highflow from them for his Stagea.....
  24. Ta for your thoughts and advice, will test it over the weekend I suppose. Warranty has finished by 2 months. Firstly will swap chips between my home and work pc's. Both L775s, work is 3.2 and home is 3.4ghz. If the 3.2 works in my home pc then it'll be ok and its the power (doubt it) or mobo (possibly) thats the problem. Im thinking Ive fried the cpu chip tho.
