Hey, dont knock the turbo until you've at least sampled it. Slide makes a pretty awesome piece of kit - for the budget price of the item. yeah Deluxe, I was thinking 230-240rwkw. With a good tuner Id like to think a bit of power can be pulled, even with only the 2 piggybacks in lieu of a proper ECU. Simply cant afford a stand alone ECU currently, anyways. Also, the stnd injectors can flow around 218awkw at 100% duty cycle. So with some management of the FPR and the SAFC/SITC Im sure a decent tune can be sorted for me. heres hoping !!

Why? Why make such a nice car a) undrivable, and b) unfit/unsafe to be driven ?
-
lol, yeah Im after at the very Least a tune at 1bar (14.7 psi?), not mucking around on 12psi when Ive got a highflowed turbo and all the support gear, and my stnd turbo was previously tuned at 12psi anyways (160awkw). Have a Nismo fuel pressure regultor, so all should be good. Have hit the dreaded R&R at around 14psi untuned, whereas 13.5psi the engine pulls pretty hard. I think there is enough bolted on now for a good well-rehearsed tuner to tune around the stnd ecu to get the 1bar happening. Id like to reach the 200awkw mark, but seeing this is a rwd dyno, I guess Id be disappointed if I walked out with a dyno sheet showing under 220rwkw. I feel 240rwkw should be the goal, and with my mods it should be achievable. my engine shows that it is under 90,000kms old, never been compression tested. have a adj. exhaust cam gear wheel but wont have it put on at this stage (finances, plus I dont have the tools to DIY), got lots of other parts installed but here are the engine goodies: New fuel filter & oil filter with Penrite 10w-50w oil Davies Craig automatic transmission oil cooler upgrade kit Bosch 040 fuel pump with direct battery feed at 13.8volts Nismo adjustable fuel pressure regulator Nissan Z32 Air Flow Meter 3inch JustJap stainless steel single dump pipe system 3inch Catco high flow catalytic converter 3inch cat-back mild steel exhaust system with quiet muffler K&N pod filter, freshly cleaned Cold Air Induction box with direct air feed Radiator cold air guide Hybrid dual stage Electronic Boost Controller Apexi 'hybrid' front mount intercooler with custom return air feed pipe kit Apexi boost gauge Apexi SAFC Super Air Fuel Computer Apexi SITC Super Ignition Timing Computer Slide Performance bush bearing highflowed R33 turbocharger rated to 250rwkw @ 1 bar

Ive decided on Boostworx for my tune on the RB25det stagea. Original 2 tunes were with Graham West Workshops but I feel they are on the expensive side, and was going to go to Turbo Tune but thought bugga it, lets do Boostworx seeing they have such a wide support network here on the forum. Next Tuesday 27th Feb at 9am for a few hours is the golden day. Dropping the front AWD driveshaft and tuning in RWD mode. Question to the experts : had the highflow turbo from Slide on now since November, worried about afr's etc with the summer heat (been on low boost, in fact hardly driven it in the heat). Should I go for a 1bar or a 1.1bar tune? Dont want to stress the motor over the next handful of years, as I wouldnt be able to afford a rebuild. Maybe in 5yrs time but not in the near future.......... opinions ? She's got all the bits bolted on her, such as 040 fuel pump, dual stage EBC, Z32 afm, apexi SAFCii and SITC pigybacks, fmic, cai with pod filter, radiator air guide, etc etc etc, loads of goodies.

MajorTangles Battlefield 2 BF2 Video #2 featuring Israel's Son by Silverchair ---------------------------------------------- Footage taken over a couple of days, at 800x600 screen size with 75mhz, with Fraps taking the footage at 30fps, half sized. Used Windows Movie Maker this time, didnt require to be compressed. On youtube, so its an easy/quick download - Enjoy!! (30kbps download) Better vid quality... ? I'll get it right one day I suppose hehe http://www.savefile.com/files/480403

LOL yeah cheers for the info, help and tips Madaz, and the humor-relief from MLC (mid life crisis or massive loser squad, lol its Fitzy reborn!). taking current footage at 800 x 600 at 75mhz, with 30fps, half screened. So end footage is 400x300 (good for youtube) and seems pretty clear at this stage. Will muck around with window media player this time, but Im still editing via Blaze media Pro (aint a bad program actually)........... got so many shock paddle kills on fraps now, its almost embarresing. :sorcerer:

Autronic ECU's are around $3200 supplied, fitted and tuned. Thinking around $2300 for supply only. It is apparently a decent ecu for the auto rb25's, just expensive hence not a lot of ppl have used them previously.

LOL you crack me up Dean. Funniest post of the day.

cheers madaz - and thank you for those tips in the games thread, best info Ive receieved so ta to you matey lol, skills have improved somewhat since the dark&bitter startup days...... but I'll forever be a Tangles

cheers for the tips mate, I'll follow that when I edit the next lot of footage (started tonight, got 6 nice paddle kills on record, lol). yeah Im a newb+++ with all this. ta for the advice Im sure it'll help the next one come out much better. currently recording at 800x600 with 30fps half-screen (vid in 400x300 and playback seems to have no choppiness). I'll practise what you've written there and see how I go.

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=155038 hey, if you have a spare 56mb and wanna see a first-time BF2 video I made, have a look ^^. quality of footage is bad (compressed it twice) but next vid I make will be awesome. music is pretty cool tho, made it for my war vet Gpa who passed on the weekend (made it thurs-sun when he was dying).

best of luck with the move, matey =)

MajorTangles BF2 Fraps Video #1 featuring "Coma" by Pendulum ----------------------------------------- Right-eo. First ever go at capturing of video via a pc (thru Fraps), captured a few slides and sorted thru them, and compiled them to a track. Finally worked out how to underlay the music and overlay the video. I had my screen at 1024 x 768res with 60mhz, with fraps capturing at 30fps. I used Blaze Media Pro (free for 2 weeks, lol) to string the clips together and lay the music, and to compress it all once completed I used VirtualDub, and compressed it again to get it down from 180mb to 147mb to 58mb, so it has lost a lot of its resolution and quality. Next time I'll try capturing at 60fps on Fraps and have my screen set at 800x600res with 75mhz. Will take my time and make a good video, but for my first up ever quick-job effort it aint that bad I suppose. I’ve never ever captured vid before, or done any of this so its a bit new to me but next movie will be better, just wanted it to move more 'freely' on the screen. *sigh* oh well Hosted File (on a free 60mb upload site): http://www.savefile.com/files/468115 best viewed with VLC Player, http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Feb 4th Important Cruise (page 2 For Location)
Tangles replied to Nathan_G1's topic in South Australia
Im sorry I couldnt attend today, been in hospital wishing farewells to a dying family member. I trust the cruise was yet another successful day. -
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm gsxr 7fidy nice n light, nimble and pulls like a pro. great choice of bike for the adelaide hills - keep ya weight over the front bars and she'll be true to you, Im sure. might rego mine and grab it from the shop - see how the knee feels. we all need some sort of stress relief and hills road riding was mine. How are you with fiddling with the suspn? Id definately urge you to take time and get those setting right (ride, pull over, adjust, repeat 50 times, lol), as for power once shes run in a Yoshimura full system (see ebay), BMC air filter and PowerCommander would have it sorted beautifully. HHHMM, might see you out there man Id love a ride. its in the blood

can ppl pls help me sell my bike? see below offering a 'spotters fee'

Wish I got a welcome to new addiciton thingy maggigy. so sad, too bad. Nice, looks very nice. Ive got the woodgrain centre area, breaks up the monotony quite well. Ppls, in the flesh it looks good I can assure you. My steering wheel is plain-jane tho. Looks like its definately been lowered slightly, if you find you are having abnormal tyre wear better check the suspension thread in the sticky section, might need camber/castor kits from Whiteline thru Sydneykid. Would recommend some sway bars from Whiteline also. For oil, Castrol Edge 10w-60 is supposedly the bees-knees, but any 10w-50 or even a 5w-60 oil would be fine. I use Penrite. Next change tho I'll try the Edge stuff. Generally water and a sponge is good for cleaning cars lol (I use the polglaze wash n wax suff) and Id suggest to let the car cool down over the last 3kms of driving (ie dont hit boost) in lieu of getting a turbo timer.
-
I used one for a little while, was the R34 GTT 'cooler and shroud. The stagea stnd shroud was smaller by memory then the GTT shroud. Luckily Ive got the Dayz front bar so it was all good for me. If you dont have a 'air dam' type opening allowing air to get in, why not sell it for what you bought it for and get a fmic kit? they look pretty stealthy when tucked up in behind the stnd front bar.
-
I asked Cubes just the other day what I should put in. BCPR6E was the response (cheers mate!), They are a 0.8mm pregapped, copper, v-groove plug.
-
LOL !!! Nice work matey!! Love your style.
-
How much power would the engine be capable putting out, at say 1bar with a highflowed / aftermarket turbo? Also, out of curiosity, what does a rebuild like that cost? Under 7g, or over?
-
Got a 040 sitting right at the bottom of the fuel tank in the Stagea. Mod'd cradle etc to make it fit right down low, also got a direct wire feed from the battery. Very loud, like a commy I guess, but hey who gives a f#, with a Stagea and the seraphic glass windows and some *beats* you cant hear a horn let alone a pump, lol
