  1. Thats right, its an awesome turbo. Getting tuned next month (Feb 07), in rwd, expect 240rwkw at 1bar, or thereabouts Pulls god damned hard at 13.5psi tho (at 14psi R&R kicked in) Spins up onto boost really really well at 13.5, so at 15psi I expect it to be a bit of a ball tearer. Will post the AFR's and dyno graph for the SITC/SAFCII tuned Slide turbo'd Stagea, ASAP
  2. bejeesus Myself me and I, have been in a R33 with 300rwkw, automatic with MV Autos shift kit, and with Power FC. It DOES bloody work The gears shifted fine, whether it was city traffic driving, or spirited hills driving. Power FC + MV Auto vale body DOES WORK for the automatics.
  3. cheers lads......... nuh not dusty, nor will I be spraying silicone into the MB of the sole work PC. Ive got the exact same fan at my home pc, both 1yr old, and both making an 'off centre' spinning noise - dropped a bearing ? ? got a 'golden orb' big arsed copper fan to replace one of them (probably the work pc first, then look at mine at home)
  4. Im fairly certain a cat converter for a RB25 nissan fits all the R33's (series 1, 1.5 and 2) and the Stagea's (series 1 - unsure of series 2), therefore theyd be the same from 1993 thru to 1997.
  5. I wasnt going to comment, BUT - this would have to be the stupidest post to ever see the light of day in the stagea section of SAU, in my opinion. Just what is it with the damned Yank mentality spreading throughout Aussieland to sue someone over everything and anything??? I mean WTF!? Sue someone 'cause they drove your car? Get real mate, what utter and complete wank. Grow up. Here's a little story of 'morals' : had major knee surgery and woke up during the middle of the procedure (includes cutting out half of the tibia), got up off the table and tried to walk out, had real bad visions about the experience for around a year. Got a big document from the surgeon and the anethistist after I informally complained where the anethistist accepted all of the lability...... a lawyer friend said I could get a lazy 20g's easy outa them if I went thru his law firm. I LOL'd and left it at that. That money could have gone a long way, but Im not that sort of person to make a frivilous law suit. Better to know within yourself that you're in the right rather then go thru the courts systems chasing down a couple of dollars (in your instance). But I have no idea what your actual morals and values are. My suggestion would be not to shout out "law suit" so quickly in the future. rofl, the fish heads in hub caps idea would be the ideal way to go
  6. lol, hammer to bang on the engine and a screwdriver to be stuck into your ear? Can you hear pinging, anyone? No? Better bang harder then! ............... yeah sounds about right.
  7. Hate to break it to you, my home at Morphett Vale has been "valued" to take in $230+ pw in rent. Id say settle for a $250 close-to-the-city home with your mate, or, find another mate !
  8. Ok, my work pc is giving me the shites (well, headaches anyway) Pentium 3.2 with the standard L775 fan The fan has gone bonkas and is SO loud. How do I replace it? I cant see how the fan comes off - do you actually need to take out the motherboard to get access to the back side of the MB to undo screws that hold in a L775 P4 fan? Im a bit lost as to how to take out the standard fan.
  9. Exactly, as I NOW know. Didnt know any better one year ago - hence why I never queried the 5hours charge time from GWW. Still not happy about the overcharge although the tune wasnt toooo bad. Meh. Quote from John at Hitech was for a max of 3hr tune, said he'd do it quicker then that tho; seems honest enough to me.
  10. Got a quote to retune the Stagea awd rb25det auto with the highflow turbo, for the safc II and the sitc piggybacks. Has been tuned twice before at Graham Wests - Im sure now that I definately paid for too much time (lol at 5hrs dyno time plus setup fee). Got quote from Wests, then got quote from John at HiTech Dyno. HiTech were under by well over a hundred dollars, including dropping the driveshaft for the rwd dyno (Wests have a 4wd dyno), so thats where I'll be going soon for the final tune. Steve (Pixl8r) reports a good experience with HiTech hence my decision to get a quote from them. hmmmmmm, perhaps I should get a quote from Boostworx ?
  11. lol, been there and done all that - its soooo true, it really does go round full circle car (LT celica), car (VW Type 3), car (ford eb), buy house sell car, bike (gpx250), car (pulsar n15), bike (zx9r), surgery sell bike, recover buy another bike (cbr900), car (VR v8), 2nd car (nubira), sell house buy new house, sell the V8 buy the import (Stagea) yep, full circle $7500 so sad, so cheap, toooo cheap. Oh well. Damn car re-sellers ! Damn the ball boys too while we are at it.
  12. lol, yah, quite hideous I must admit. Gotta say tho Im falling apart, (legs are shagged, back is on the way out) somedays I doubt that I'll live to see 50 On topic, Id reluctantly suggest that the Stagea isnt the right car for a 2m tall person with a family..... but Im living the dream so what the heck. We said we'd own the car for 10yrs, so we have 8.5yrs left of ownership. In that time tho we'll have to upgrade the wifes car (Nubira) to a small 4wd people mover I think (Ford Explorer size).
  13. 6ft6 hey? thats around 195cm I believe. Im 201cm, and fit (now) Got the sunroof(s) so I have to find the right head position, and Ive also had the seat rail extended by 1.5 inches - there is no room for anyone aged over say 5yrs to sit behind me.
  14. Really Must Sell Please, tell your mates about a Fireblade fully mod'd with over 10k thrown into it. $9500ono Can pay a nominal spotters fee.
  15. That sucks!! To keep costs down try a cut & polish job first? Otherwise it'd be a fill, repaint and repolish type job? Not good................. pity there is no meaning to the word 'respect' anymore
  16. for the Series 1 you describe, it could be a Dayz (pearl, twin roof) - does it have a very mild bodykit (rear wing, open air dam front bar)? If so 14k is the going rate, I paid 18k 1yr ago for a 98%stock one. a great buy mate, if it seems in good condition, got pics?
  17. lol, its pretty loud tho isnt it?! wow, you guys are a wealth of info.... maybe perhaps add a volume controlled speaker of some sorts?
  18. Hybrid dual stage ebc. Was perfect at 12psi with the stnd turbo. With the Slide highflow and retune (safc/sitc) I expect it to be pretty much steady at 1bar. With the highflow on and set at 13psi untuned the engine just ramps up to speed! Having fun playing with the 2 dialup settings, watchn the fuel drain out, and feeling R&R / boost cut whatevea ya wanna call it, at 14psi ! :sorcerer:
  19. get a Stagea.
  20. Yup, I know exactly what you are feeling there. With the SAFC and SITC you can tune around these, use a Z32 air flow meter too for better resolution for the tune. Make sure you have a good fuel pump and maybe a nismo fuel reg, then get it tuned on the dyno. Obviously a good exhaust & cool air supply is a necessity. You'll get around that BAM into the windscreen feeling Ive got that problem now, had everything tuned nicely with the stnd turbo but with the highflow now on, winding the boost to 14psi results in "head-2-windscreen" sydrome - as you describe, its like the ecu just shuts up shop, a feeling very similar to when you hit the revlimiter in 4th gear on a sportsbike = over the front you go! ggrrr need a retune! need funds lol
  21. I know what ya mean, for the stag I had a specific space to utilise. see http://www.apexi-usa.com/product_suction_d...5&pageNum=1 the one for the silvia might suit? (19.7"L X 9.33"H X 2.7"W) looks like this
  22. Fitted my guide and air deflector up last night,,, needed to drill 1 hole for where I have my larger auto oil cooler kit bolted onto the frame of the car. All up took 15mins to size up, alter and fit. Didnt need to undo the bonnet latch or abnything, it all fits in neatly. Woulda been nice to have 4 nuts/bolts in the pack to join the deflector up with the air guide - Im only saying that as my stash of spare nuts/bolts is extremely poor !!!! Top work, great piece of kit, well worth the wait IMO 9/10 is my score (woulda been 10 if it came with some bolts for the air defelctor!! lol)
  23. lol, anyone would think it gest cold where you live Ska ! 'sif you need a heater-core oh well, its done now. well done, looking 4ward to seeing the 2pac green racing stripes
  24. well I received mine today, and Im a happy chappy. cheers Pete - thanking you kindly
  25. Good luck mate Perhaps look into the Plympton area - close to Mile End and Edwardstown, near the tram line etc. Close to town and Glenelg, Anzac Hwy area. Lol, I moved out when I was 17 and have never looked back. Rented for a little while down the 'bay prior to buying a small home. Hahaha, god that brings back memories, the crazy trippn midnight triathalon we had was a classic !
