  1. Sounds like a typical heavy duty clutch, what kind is it?
  2. you'd think it would spell like vodka lol but Im guessing it has some plenty of additives
  3. Tuners who only tune on one ramp rate are dumb, gotta vary it to get a good idea of the difference between revving out 1st and 4th on a track, I'm not even a tuner and this is obvious.
  4. rb20det doesnt have a resistor pack only the ca18s I think and rb26s unless of course he has done a gtr injector swap.
  5. Check the injector pins on the ECU with a test light see if the problem is in the loom or at the ecu end, as you tried a different ecu almost certainly the loom somewhere, just keep tracing it until you find the issue, pain in the ass but not much else you can do.
  6. it is a stupid question because we dont know what car you have or what engine, but generally all identical engines sound the same it is only the volume you can change whether that be through increasing the diameter or size/number of mufflers, higher quality systems tend to just flow better for the same volume, they almost never sound any different. so if you have an NA engine (probably as p plates) then it is never going to sound amazing or anything like a turbo no matter how much you spend.
  7. It could be multiple things, worn out clutch plates causing it to open wheel and excessive backlash causing the clunking, could also be a worn uni joint/bearing causing it clunk as well though.
  8. Just get the clutch packs reground at a diff shop, they are probably just glazed up. I had mine done in my old HR31 where it was completely single spinning, $150 to get them all ground and put back together with ever so slightly more preload (bigger shim) and it twined every day and didnt chirp around corners like half those shit aftermarket 2 ways do. if they are flogged out get a nismo rebuild kit from one of the many jap part distributors. If all you did was put bigger shims in there and leave the flogged out clutch plates then yeah it wont work, youll have to shim it so tight it is basically a locker and it can still open wheel, worst of both worlds.
  9. Surely a manual conversion would be the simplest and only guaranteed way to get it running without shelling loads trying 50 different things, plus everyone wants a manual don't they?
  10. Clogged up due to crap filter and rusting tank or having them sit around for a year and dry out. That or the seals can go and they can leak but they will still work. What happened to them?
  11. Do you know if any other places do things like that, namely in SA?
  12. no its all about value for money and making a fast car, if being different was all the go people would put a shit holden 202 in their skylines lo, actually it probably wouldn't be much slower than an rb20et
  13. Put the tyres on today (215 595 rs-r on front and 235 595evo on rear) has completely transformed the car, much much faster in the corners and it is far more neutral to drive, ever so slight understeer on turn in but it can be completely changed to neutral->oversteer with a bit of throttle, can't wait to take it to the track. Also people questioning the size there is zero stretch on 8" and 9" rims, it looks completely flush to me. Thanks for the advice guys.
  14. So does anyone make an alloy one with bov/breather return that isn't $300 ?
  15. No idea, you'd have to compare measurements or trial fit them. What brand are they, can you find a datasheet for them?
  16. The metal clip goes in between the ribs so if the pipe was to suck shut it would pull the ribs together and have to squash the metal ring, obviously there isn't enough suction to do that so it should work fine.
  17. That is why I have a rusted out $50 diesel van sitting in my street for when my skyline needs stuff done to it, it never breaks and uses no fuel.
  18. I have done this on 35c days, make it easier to concentrate and more enjoyable. The air con cuts out at high rpm anyway. Exactly, it makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I don't understand why you guys have dailys or don't drive your skylines around the street. Unless they aren't road legal then why not get the most out of your money and enjoy it every single day? Makes sense to me, I couldn't handle driving another car and missing out on the skyline love every morning : )
  19. we live in australia where it regularly gets to 35c for weeks on end, who on earth can drive around in traffic without it? I guess if you have no issue rocking up with sweat patches over your entire upper body to work it isn't a real issue though.
  20. what are the main advantages of an external pump?
  21. wow had no idea wheeljerx did anything cheap lol
  22. Yeah fair call, if you can get it the same price and get it painted black for stealth it would be a better buy, I always assumed they were more expensive though.
  23. Really? Do you have a balancing machine as well?
  24. Bonus is the rubber pipe looks stock
  25. this is a stupidly high ramp rate to smooth it out lol, don't doubt the power, just how smooth it is lol
