  1. Hey mate, It's a jet black. No metallic flakes through it. I went with the Z-CS simply for it's ease of use. I'm a bit of an amatuer and it's the first time I went with a higher end detailing product. I kinda shyed away from the more "pro" Zaino stuff becuase of the need to mix it before use. But have have seen Z2 layered several times with Z8 on top and it'looks great. The other thing with Z-CS was it's all purpose useage. I used it on the mags, windows, headlights and all dirt/dust just slipped right off. With the Z2, would you still use Z-AIO and would it be before or after? Very happy with Zaino, but I've sold that car and now have a white GTR so unfortunately you don't get that satisfied detailed feel as much on white.
  2. From what i know, they're very good at building very quick quarter mile cars. I haven't used them, but i do know the owner is very passionate when it comes to cars.
  3. Hey mate, sounds great! Have you confirmed if it has any kind of special Veilside build plate? Either way it sounds like a very nice car.
  4. Personally I see nothing wrong with people being able to afford a certain car, buying a certain car. There are GTR owners who's car will NEVER see the track. You could probably even say the majority wil never see the track. So you can apply the above statements to pretty much any car with a "reputation". Some buy cars to enjoy, others buy cars because they can, and want the association of a particular brand/image. Sorry mate, just don't agree with the generalisations specifically aimed at Porsche drivers, cause I think you'd struggle to find a single noteable car which doesn't see the same scenarios.
  5. Excellent choice, but don't mind white myself ( oh and it's an RSR ) Yep, you sure have to be a wanker to own one of these
  6. Yep jelousy. If i could afford a current Porsche 911/GT3/Carera - whateva, (except Boxster ) I'd be happy to be called a wanker in exchange
  7. hey Ben, Is the exhaust a particular brand or custom made? any clips with sound?
  8. 2 of my mates have used them and are very happy with the work. There was an auto R33 Gts-t for sale on here a while back which they built and ran a 10 on it's first pass apprantly.
  9. I really don't like debadged V35's. To me it kinda takes away a little of the "classiness" of the car. I also think that the Nissan badging, especially the "350GT" give the car presence. And I'm not a fan of the Infiniti badging at all. Would take 350GT on my car over G35 any day of the week! Was gonna say, that's my 2c, but there's a least 10c worth of opinion there :-)
  10. Hi Erhan, Please do a search through the topics as all of the questions you have about the V35, have been covered many times. There are also numerous threads on the site which covers the pluses and minuses of the EVO lancers. Here's a couple to get you started. FUEL http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Km...tml&hl=Fuel RADIO http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/So...re-t194126.html INSURANCE http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/V3...mp;hl=insurance Hope that helps mate, and there are many others which discuss all the above. Cheers Bobby
  11. I don't think it's too bad. V35 compliance is not "that" far off that price and there's probably a bit of "we're the only ones so will charge a bit more" in there to. I'm very interested in the Sedan as well, but will wait a while for a few to get here. As much as it was great having one of a very few V35's on the road when i first got it. The price drop in recent times has taught me a bit about what I would say are more "boutique" vehicles Still common sense and wanting a car are two very different things, and I think I'll find it hard to resit once i see a sedan on the road here
  12. Damn I'm gonna sound old with my 2 favs Kick Start my heart - Motley Crue All fired up - Pat Benatta (I think that's her name)
  13. For an amateur who likes to look after their paint I really recommend the ZAINO all in one stuff. Have done a couple of cars and very easy to use. My process is usually Wash Clay Wash Zaino Z-AIO Zaino Z-CS usually 2 layers Zaino Z-8 This is the only pic i have atm, and this is about 2 months after it was done. Zaino lasts for ever :-)
  14. Hey mate, Have you tried posting on some 350Z sites? There's a couple with Aus forums and they tend to be more into the hardcore engine building than what you might find here. Cheers Bobby
  15. Hi Penny, Please try the search function. This has been discussed a few times now. Cheers Bobby
  16. Sorry mate, meant to say the diff cover is irrelevant. Build plate is very relevant. I'm yet to see anything 100% confirm the fin v non fin diffs relating to specific models in R32's. It's well documented for 33's but from what i've read a bit up in the air on 32's. I could be wrong though. Either way, anything that can be changed, is probably not a good way to 100% check. But, yep build plate is the way to go.
  17. Not relevant on 32's. Just get the VIN number and have someone run it through FAST in the FAST thread. and yes, PICS!!!!
  18. 5hu7o, just PM'd you the number. Cheers
  19. :-) Car definitely goes without the oil cooler, how much more it will go after a day at Oran Park without the cooler is the problem. :-)
  20. Thanks Dirt, The car will be at most 10% track, and yep only has a single bleed point. I might grab it and throw it in, are they a big/fiddly job?
  21. Nothing to do with anything related to a fault as such. Simply, if the brakes where bedded in properly than it's a case of the combination of rotors and pads you're using. Some squeek others don't. If they weren't bedded in properly you can try getting them machined and then bedding them in again. I have heard people give the rotors a once over with some sand paper, but again if its just the combo your using then your only option is to change. Personally I always believe that if your not doing track work, stick to Nissan pads. They have been developed not to squeek. People don't like squeeky brakes on new cars. If you are tracking the car and have gone for a more track orientated pad/rotor then squeeking is a side effect. No real way around it. You can try different pads, but do you really have $$$'s to blow for a little squeeking.
  22. Sorry to dig up an old thread, but anyone got anymore info on these? A mate has an ARC kit which i might grab. Are they of any benefit to a more or less stock GTR? Cheers
  23. can't make it guys unfortunately, didn't get the oil cooler fitted on the weekend.
  24. Thanks Richie, That looks great. I think i like it better than the matte black. cheers Larry, I'll try and get the number tomorrow
  25. Thanks RusH, appreciate it mate. Pic was taken in newcastle but is a fair few months old now.
