  1. *considers* Hmmm... I'm more of a circuit man meself, but... ...30 second quickie could be good
  2. I work 'till 9 on thursday. Will every one still be drinking?
  3. Mac Pass, early. 'Cause your ar$3 won't fall asleep.
  4. Respek I think you summed it up well. Light cars with good suspension/chassis and tyres will always have the advantage over heavy-ish cars like GT-Rs as far as ultimate cornering speed goes, and like you said, he probably doesn't arrive there with quite as much speed anyway, and being light, the brakes have an easier time into turn 1, too. Prolly explains why Fatz could manage a 1:29 in an atmo RB30 Silvia, and I only went 2 seconds better.
  5. 11ty million rwkW...after installing VTEC and 70,000hp wet manifold NOS kit (fed by 7 bottles under the passenger seat).
  6. *LoLz* Yeah...me too. Don't have quite that level of commitment on Ziex's Plenty of room too improve on my 1:27, then.
  7. *LoL* Not much chance of making the turn/stopping in time for the next corner if you don't ease off a bit at the kink.
  8. Sounds like to much dicking around and not enough hard-core track time IMHO
  9. Always thought GT-Rs had 1.5-way diffs The car would understeer like crazy in the wet with a mechanical 2-way.
  10. Heehee, will definately be making sure car doesn't flame-out before I do my next track day. Rear bar is well cooked&fooked above the 'zorst outlet.
  11. What about the oil coming through the windage tray and causing the crank to throw too much of it up into the bores? I ran my car at the Oran GP circuit all day on the standard oil level and it's fine...or is it because my tyres are too shit to be able to generate the g-forces required to cause a problem? *lolz*
  12. Bikes have different dB regulations to passenger vehicles. Buses do to, I guess
  13. EXACTLY!!! Why can't you have a fulsikhectic megaphone BOV in ur car if it uses MAP fueling? Standard Cop response- " 'Cause it's noise pollution, sir." WELL WHAT ABOUT THE FKN M#$%ERF#$%ER BUSES THEN???
  14. The greater Sydney area really needs a racetrack with a few loooong straights and big, open, sweeping corners so the mega HP cars can really stick it to the 'light atmo car' boys....Fatz
  15. Hawt. Go the Old Skewl Volkies.
  16. 32 GT-R. Wing firmly in place. Kthnx.
  17. They had some sort of 'bypass' set-up to flow around the restrictor, as I remember it. The FIA, predictably, takes a fairly dim view of such 'creative' engineering. The whole series is obviously massively popular, but the cars bear almost no resemblance from a technology point of view to the road-cars anymore. They're more like 'stock' cars- 5 Litre engines and live rear axles...gimmes a freakin' break!. Bring back Grp A!!
  18. Hahaha, zing! I got (mildly) pwned. Yeah, but nah, but yeah- Prolly not a great idea to be turning your car off at speed for other reasons though.
  19. Prolly just easier to stick some fibreglass extension on the bonnet to give the same effect.
  20. Thumbsup to the Bee*R 324 (with a better rear wing, and a flush-fitting petrol flap) but i'm ROFLMAO@ that 'F40' kit...the proportions are sooooo wrong. It looks absolutely fuggen terrible.
  21. Yeah, by all means feel free to use a complete GT-R kit/body panels, waste heaps of money converting a GTS4 into a GT-R (ala Advan's "GRACER") but for the love of all that is holy- If it didn't leave the factory as a GT-R, then DON'T STICK GT-R BADGES ON IT!!!.
  22. So you can get a 97-98 model GT-R these days if you live stateside, but nothing else as a grey import? Could be worse.
  23. Sticking GT-R badges on lesser Skyline models is something that makes no sense at all, because- People who don't know any better couldn't care less, and Enthusiasts that can tell the difference will fall about laughing at you. So why do n00bs persist in doing this?
  24. Move to the U.S and start an import compliance biz No market competition
  25. Advertising the soon-to-be new 'Aurion' with some hinting at 'F1-inspired' undertones is ghey. I'm really sure it makes grandpa&ma all warm and fuzzy inside to think that they will be able to buy some 'sporty' camry derivative. Toyota's marketing guff is teh suck. They became the worlds most profitable car maker by selling (for the most part) the worlds most boring (but reliable) vehicles. Say's a lot about the average driver, I reckon. They shoulda just stuck with rallying, instead of F1- at least they could win at that. But no, someone decided F1 was more 'glamourous', and that they'd have a crack at that instead. Hey we can't lose- We're Toyota, let's just inject cubic dollars and watch the championships roll in. Nigga please.
