  1. Talk with mercury motorsports how much abuse the OS88 took at over 1000hp. Unbelievable gearbox!!
  2. Happy i didn't do a set of american rims now.... JDM FTW Sorry some better pics coming just need to push it out in the yard.
  3. Brand new Borgwarner EFR 7670 T4 1.05. Brisbane will post at buyers expense. $2550
  4. Awesome mate that should be a wild ride!
  5. 28.2" tall tyre on 15" rims. Not much now ill have everything finished off over xmas holidays ready for tuning early January is the plan.
  6. Cheers man thanks for the nice comments. Probably my last big build so i thought id build it properly haha. Next time its on the hoist ill get some more pics of the crossmember for you RIPS does awesome work. Ill have some more pics for sure over xmas time.
  7. Found some second hand SSR's rims which we refurbished after making them fit. Took plenty of messing around though had to push the rim further into the guard by spacing the rim inwards by the way of 14" x 8mm ring that bolts between wheel center and rim. The 275/60 is 28" tall so placement needed to be spot on. Just back from powdered coating today should look ok. SP1's 15"x 9"
  8. Exactly!! Apparently no chutes
  9. Around 600 from memory. Search import monster website thats where i found mine.
  10. Yep updates coming finally got some spare time on my hands to start getting it ready for tuning... January is the target real keen to get it out for some roll racing at willowbank... Hopefully the smaller brakes to suit the 15" rims pull it up going into turn 1
  11. An ecu is only as good as the calibrator in most cases unless its 20year old technology.
  12. I went from a Ppg dog box 400rwkw setup that trapped 131 to a standard box slowly shifting with a easy launch down to 126mph exact same power. Just saying there's a bit more to it then rolling out with a certain hp and running X mph.
  13. Just make sure you use teflon lined hose throughout your system and it should be fine.
  14. Best mod i did was removing boot mounted twin 044 surge tank setup and replacing it with twin nismo intanks. No noise no smell operated like a factory fuel system.
  15. Power and setup will make a difference in MPH For example if we have 2 cars with 450awkw, one with -5's and a dog box and one with a Gt42 and standard gearbox with a clutch that won't shift at high rpm the car with the -5 will trap higher obviously. The guys with the 500kw dyno graphs trapping 125mph very well could have that power but might not have the tyres, clutch, gearbox, powerband, driver to use it properly.
  16. Mick I'm running Honda Cbr bike coils with a CDI module powering them. Since buying the equipment i've heard some mixed opinions on the reliability of these coils so ill play it and see how they go. Being a complete OEM system with built in ignitors i think the LS2 route would be a pretty good option.
  17. Engines in progressing slowly but surely. Completed wheel with terminated bulk head connector. Speedflow bill this week To avoid any problems associated with ethanol sitting in the fuel system for long periods we rigged up a fuel drain. The process will be drain the main tank add 98octane unleaded then connect into this quick disconnect fitting, rotate tap into off position which blocks return line feeding the tank then crank engine to purge remaining fuel in the lines and rail nice and easy. Fingers crossed some bigger updates coming next week.
  18. Few little hold up's on the engine install so we decided to shed some fat from the flex plate. Tomorrow ill know final weight but the machinist cad program estimated we removed 1.5kg from 6kg total.
  19. Status have u setup many dry kits where the ecu supplements the extra fuel required? If so is it tricky to get the tune right as apposed to using a fuel solenoid? My fear is on the off chance the fuel solenoid doesn't operate as per usual your tune will go lean and hurt something.
  20. Sorry if its been covered earlier but is this the initial run in tune on a new motor? If so your tuner isn't going to push the tune hard straight up normally its very conservative in regards to timing ect. Just a few degrees extra will make a big gains in output.
  21. Hopefully engine install tomorrow.
