  1. i would do this save your tune make sure you have a copy of it make sure you have a backup of the copy DATA INIT the EVO PFC restart the car do a READ ALL in datalogit and save the stock maps then compare those to what you have, it might be something simple
  2. any wideband solution is going to cost $400 if its sub $100 its junk and not wideband if you dont know what you are doing with a wideband, then stop and dont do it you can kill your motor if you arent careful. there is lots of documentation on wideband tuning and AFR tuning so its not something new the consequenses if you get it very wrong howver could be burnt valves = rebuild light
  3. agree with femno %200 ring up a few BCNR33's for sale at sub 22k and say ive got 20k cash in the bank ready do you want to sell? cos i want to buy youll be surprised how easy they will fold given there are so many for sale, they wont say nah man, 23k or dont bother coming trust me, they will fold and meet you half way or bend over at take it for 20k
  4. if the PFC has been reset to defaults the boost control kit is on by default, which means when you start the car, if you dont have the boost control kit, the engine check light stays on so if you dont have the boost control kit and your PFC has been reset then your engine check light will remain on the PFC has NVRAM which means the tune is only lost if the PFC requests to erase the NVRAM, kinda like flash ram so with no power for years or sparks etc the NVRAM can retain its tune / details when i fried my PFC and repaired it and booted the car up the PFC returned back to where it was (ie on the same monitor screen) and tune was still present when knock is displayed under MONITOR, 1 CHANNEL, KNOCK you will get a bar graph, press UP displays top score in digital read out. Press RIGHT to erase the top score
  5. yeah if you sell your car for 10k (its probably worth more) and buy BCNR33 for 20k 10k changeover is good and very reasonable

  9. yeah make sense i was under the impression snowman had the 6spd and changed to 4.11s with the 6spd for more acceleration my bad
  10. well there u go, probably only useful with 5 speed vs std 6spd
  11. it might be working look into, could be a cheap mod i know snowman did it to his 34R to get more acceleration vs top speed but not sure how it affects 5th @ 100km/h for example, it might make it rev too much and likewise may do the same for 6th gear @ 100km/h
  12. do you care about top speed? download real car simulator, load up BNR34 stock specs with L tune and run on 1/4 then change the final ratio from 3.7 to 4.11 and see how it adjusts the car's acceleration

  14. in a 34R ? did they change diff gears as well or just the box? BNR34r diff gears is 3.7 from memory
  15. i wonder what would happen if given a laggy powerband you change diff gears instead does it make the car complete ass to drive or does it reasonablly shift it lower, ie more response the evo specs reference 4.3 and 4.5 final drive vs GTR/GTST 4.11

  22. hi kila, you need to use the nissan boost control kit double check on your wiring loom if you have wire #25 this is used by the apexi boost control kit ie 25 runs to the solenoid and the other is 12v (25 is a switched ground) without wire #25 the boost control kit will not work, so double check before purchase and as far as i know the EL hand controller will only suit FCC3 which is new style so it wont work on RB20 AP eng powerfc as it needs FCC1 or FCC NT
