  3. don't assume, best to check and be sure does it have signs of a different ECU? i mean it makes no sens to have a built motor, aftermarket turbochargers and a stock ECU (unless remapped rare) i mean how much was it to buy? surely if someone was selling a car and it a had built motor the price would reflect it do you have any reason to suspect its got aftermarket turbo's and a built motor - did the price reflect this? check the ECU - look for remap stickers, wiring looms hacks or aftermarket replacement
  4. id like to see a 0.86 rear 2530, that would be pretty funky is the main issue with the smaller compressor style turbos (2530, gt-ss (in single form) etc) is that the rear is usually tiny and it strangles exhaust? i know this sounds whack and goes against everything we agree on but what about a larger GTR twin in single form on an inline 6? roy (troy) has a twin from a td06 GTR kit in single form on his rb20 and it is bulletproof (with ext manifold, gate etc). like using a 2835 pro R from a GTR twin kit as they are external gate too ? vs the normal 2835 pro S which is single, but in internal gate

  6. i reckon for your first car just buy any old piece of junk treat it like ass, dont look after it etc then when you have appreciation for it and your off the p's get a nice skyline and off you go
  7. it does not spin backwards the physics do not support the compressor or exhaust wheel or both spinning backwards with a blocked bov the noise comes from a mid air collision of pressure that occurs in the pipework its called compressor surge as the pressure spikes well past what the compressor can supply when the throttle body is closed and there is no BOV (or its blocked) the excessive pressure makes the wierd chop chop tuutututu noise and places stress on the compressor wheel

  10. std unit is ball bearing, oil cooled, water cooled, plastic compressor wheel (s1 R33) or nylon compressor wheel (s2 R33) and cermamic exhaust wheel typically made by hitachi
  11. do you have someone that can even tune this system? never heard of it, and i suspect most tuners will say the same thing its probably more hassles than its worth honestly i would have left it at that, cut your losses and buy something well known and locally supported

  20. thats ordinary as i rememeber when i for my first IT job at bigpond tech support walked in off the st, handed in resume, they go do this test, did that, did interview after test, 4 hours later got the job sounds like its pretty ordinary these days is it some sort of mega engineering job your going for /
  21. gtss would be better than n1 well yeah if you up the boost and accept the risk go fo rit
  22. std ceramic exhaust wheel like the other gtr ones it may fail if you go over 12psi ish if it fails, it can kill the engine
  23. yeah it would be fine for 300rwkw+ if you want to change it, fit one of the GTR Bov's (it has two) they are a good upgrade if you really want to and run mega boost
  24. no you cant the loom wont physically plug in not to mention the tune is different and base settings would be wrong
