  1. the morning sun has vanquished the horrible night how about vanquish this horrible game
  2. rest in peace but you guys are seriously off the planet one guys says the police should restrict fords and holdens and the other says that fords cant handle for peanuts none of those have any factual purpose based on what you know about the accident the car was doing speeds (est 140km/h) and then it hit a tree so a number of things could have caused that (we dont know what) i mean if he was in a skyline GTR vpsec II the same thing could have happened and if the car was restricted, let's say 30% less power cos "the police should" it can still hit 140km/h it will just take longer to reach 140km/h and if you cap it at 100km/h its just as bad, hitting a tree (or anything) at 100km/h is bad

emts is right, that was how everyone got into the industry back then me and emts started at the same company and both moved onto bigger better things
  4. commodore is fine for a first car ? what do you expect him to buy for 5k ? sounds reasonable my first car was a vl calais auto, was fine, pretty relibable, didnt miss a beat
  5. nah wasnt thinking of buying one i was at the car wash the other day and GTRDNA came in, gtir pulsar and i got me thinking how much do they even have in common the only common item i knew of was individual throttle bodies. the rest is similar, but not the same, i mean we could say a WRX has GTR DNA as its 4wd turbo blah blah so anyhoo its not really gtr dna or a baby gtr
  6. there must be a dozen howto's on pod kits and heatshields in the tutorial section go search for them or browse away
  7. or you could just buy an off the shelf powerfc for $1k and use that? when your finished, sell it for the $1k you brought it for, no money lost
  8. yeah just thinking - people call them the baby gtr
  9. well you can adjust the idle rpm by going to setting, eng rev ignoring the map tracer does, is there anything wrong it does it sound like its idling too high or is pegging at a higher RPM for a period then returning to normal
  10. does the GTIR pulsar have anything in common with the skyline gtr is the 4wd system even remotely similar?

  15. ive always wanted to run my own workshop
  16. yeah bummer hey, and boomslang.us don't make one to suit ER34 either apexi one above suits BNR32/BCNR33/BNR34 and ER33, ECR33 no ER34 boomslang.us only make one to suit BNR32/BCNR32 which happens to work on ECR33 as well
  17. and then
  18. Apexi now do a harness kit, same as boomslang.us saves cutting wires on your OEM harness lets you also cut the wires etc on your desk or bench and then install the harness as a modified piece good idea http://www.nengun.com/apexi/straight-harness
  19. apexi now do a boomslang patch harness for bnr32/bcnr33/bnr34 and er33/ecr33 this is just an extension but it allows you patch in whatever you like instead of cutting random wires inside the car http://www.nengun.com/apexi/straight-harness wish i had of got one of these before i started cutting wires they werent out ages ago
  20. ah yeah thats right, i remember ben saying the vspec diff is a bastard to upgrade and its too small to shim inside it or very little room mine is sometimes the greatest thing ever, other times its hopeless the only distinct advantage i found with the vspec was it looks like it predicts wheelspin sometimes i found on the great ocean rd on some of the sweepers if you gave it curry the slip would come on even though it wasnt actually slipping, almost as if it was predicting wheelspin (from lateral force sensors) kinda groovey but otherwise hopeless i should try and shim it and see what happens
  21. yeah they wouldn't log the traffic as there is no interest in logging it and it's too much data to log constantly for every user they only log traffic when you are intercepted, which is when you are under survelliance from the police for doing bad things then your session / data is trunked to another a system which intercepts your session / data and logs it with full details
  22. yes as posted above the vpsec has the active LSD diff in the rear if you look underneath your diff will have fins on the cover, normal GTR doesn't have fins instead of normal viscous LSD its computer controlled LSD when the computer detects wheel spin (seperate to the AWD computer) it locks the rear diff and the slip light on the dash will come on is it better? maybe mine sucks ass
  23. are you sure the AFM is the issue here, the AFM will follow the engine it sounds like the AAC valve is opening and staying open this would explain why your AFM value increase and then pegs at 2v whilst the AAC is open, more air comes into the engine
  24. the seat colour trim is different between series 1,2 and 3 it's not related to vspec or non vspec the colour purple is series 1 and 2 the colour red is series 3 from memory
  25. intercooler efficiency, 4%
