  1. seems reasonable to max stock injectors near 200rwkw i can see peak near %90 with 193rwkw tune
  2. pressure does not equal volume thats why one turbo makes more power think of a car tyre at 40psi then think of a bike tyre at 40psi then think of a truck tyre at 40psi now its obvious to us that the truck tyre has more air volume inside it, ie more air, but the same pressure so its possible for a compressor wheel whilst it has the same pressure in the pipe work / engine, that it flows more air the more air the engine has, the more power it makes

    R33 Gtr

as r31nismoid said its a buyers market, there are so many for sale they can choose colour, mods, price, wheels, age, kilometers and then when they meet all that criteria, they can then hassle on price as there would be a few meeting their criteria as long as you are patient and dont need the cash instantly youll be able to sell, the key is what are you willing to let it part for

    Insurance

29yrs old, r33 gtst, just cars, full comp, rims excess is seperate, $1300 a year, excess from memory is sub $600 for stolen or crash car value i think is around $15k and been with them for about 5 years
  5. and this one is handy also http://imports.motortraders.net.au/imports/home.asp
  6. well not really, i mean most guys wont risk their $10k+ motor on a walbro pump the walbro would be sub $200 anyway and the geniune nismo or tomei would be $300 ish so its $100 difference, hardly big budget
  7. the issue with a fuel pump is it must be reliable, paramount it must work non-stop endlessly and maintain pressure if it stops working its ok, as the engine stalls its only when it cant keep up or maintain pressure then the engine has enough fuel to keep running but not enough under its max load so it leans out and your precious engine goes bang most guys assume the walbro's can do what the manfucturer or specs state the issue is from memory they are rated at that flow rate at 15v or even 15.5v in your skyline it typically wont get near that, more like 13v so it flows less there are numerous dead engines floating around from underperforming walbros or walbro's that have failed. so for the sake of saving $100 at the most, do you want to risk your whole engine setup a direct nismo or tomei item thats direct fit, and particulary the nismo items are rated prefectly to suit the skyline i mean if you spent 10g on something and skimped $100 to get a lower spec item only to find it was the achilies heel in the whole setup, surely you would mitigate that risk as best you can
  8. well, as i said, the car is illegal now or chances are, it is very close given you have intake mods, remapped ecu, exhaust, intercooler etc so, the "illegal" is the same, ie your car is probably illegal already no idea what the Vipec costs, ask around, most guys go for the powerfc injectors - your call, the larger you go, the harder to tune and typical more fuel usage turbo - pick whatever you like outlet manifold - stock is fine for around 300rwkw + fuel pump - bosch 044 or higher or tomei or nismo - walbro is ass, dont even risk it head - dont need any head work, and it will just eat up your $$ budget for litte to no gains inlet manifold / plenum = pointless, no gains, eat up your $$$ budget diff - whatever diff you like clutch - youll need upgraded factor in upgraded AFM, sub $300 for Z32 and probably a cold air intake
  9. there are a million upgrade threads, go read them and besides, all of the mods you have listed so far are illegal, not to mention the ones you plan on fitting so any legalities, you have already "broken" so thats a non-issue - ie; adding more mods how much do u want to spend and how much power do you want walbro is ass, dont even bother
  10. why would you bother? if the pump stops working it's ok as the engine stalls its a big issue if the pump starts to die and cant keep pressure this means the engine is still getting fuel, but not enough the end result is, it will lean out and cause the engine to go bang so for the sake of sub $200 why would you risk your engine if the pump is in doubt, replace it
  11. the power to weight rules are based on factory specs of the car ie you cant drive a 5year old xr6 turbo because you think its lost %10 of its power over 5 years and it all of a sudden comes under the rule. if the car is tagged being over, then its over regardless of how old it is, how many km's are on it and what mods it has
  12. Nissan - Skyline - BNR32/33 89/8 - 98/12 - D-Jetro D - Jetro Harness X 1 GT-R D-Jetro PFC Nipple X 2 D - Jetero Map Sensor X 2 $1398 delivered from nengun, but you can sell your old PFC and AFM's etc but if you can keep your current setup, sell old AFM's etc, changeover shouldnt be that bad
  13. agree with r31nismoid, perhaps there is some information missing? HKS made a split manifold that had join / balancer pipes - is that needed maybe? please read up on the djetro kit and understand everything before install the djetro kit is going to be sub $1300
  14. actually its fine as it is, as the power to weight rule is based on factory specs ie they dont dyno your car or engine dyno the engine output
  15. this is a known issue, its covered in the PFC FAQ view it from my signature and then look for "ECCS" there is a known relay issue, and when the issue occurs, changes in the PFC tune are not saved at power off which also explains why the DATA INIT doesn't clear, read it, and it tells you the correct fix when you key off, the PFC needs an additional 1-2 seconds to write any run-time changes to NVRAM if the install is shagged or the car isnt wired correctly, the PFC isnt given the extra 1-2 seconds required at key off the end result is, at key off, the PFC doesnt get time to commit changes to NVRAM, so it results in a Read-only PFC or a "unsavable PFC" like what you are seeing
  16. also describe what you call reversion do you mean you can hear the vl turbo tututututut when its ramping on boost? do you mean you can hear the compressor shuffle when its ramping on boost? do you mean you can see the AFM signal go wonky during boost build? describe as best you can, we may think it's something else vs what you think
  17. agree with jono, check the basics if datalogit says unable to connect or unable to open com port - check com port - check usb cable or serial - reboot, try windows xp or win 98 - dont use usb emulator to serial datalogit says unsuppored - then its an unsupported PFC for datalogit - check what ver of datalogit - try latest datalogit universal if the hand controller displays zero's everywhere - the PFC is locked, you need datalogit to unlock it - the pfc works, its just the tune is displayed as zero's everywhere the lock is a simple tick box in datalogit, its not a password etc
  18. describe what happens please does the inj/ign etc all show zero's ? when you do DATA INIT, choose Yes (non default item) then press NEXT and then reboot the car does it retain the previous settings? i could post up default BNR32 maps, but it would by far easier to fix the root cause if it wont DATA INIT, then its likely it wont save other changes too so let's clarify and fix that up first - so as above, try DATA INIT the way listed above
  19. you can get the datalogit software or apexi software, but both are useless without a working cable for sale is as stated above, the software, cable and laptop
  20. buy truck ones, probably cheaper and better quality and prefect size and variable items also so should have exactly what you want
  21. it's not the tune, check your intake piping as r31nismoid said if youve replaced the stock instake piping (the accordian style crap) then you get reversion across the AFM wire the makes the car run like ass the fix is to either refit the accordian style pipework (the bends break up the airflow) so that it doesnt cause reversion if you are stuck with what you have or want to keep the same pipework etc then place a large bend it, or the biggest bend you can fit. the bend will break up the airflow enough to avoid the reversion
  22. also comes with PCMCIA ethernet adapter as either on board ethernet doesnt work (or it doesnt have one) cant remember which one sorry
  23. the skyline gearbox is bulletproof in comparison to the wrx gearbox you wont have any issues with gearbox even with abuse make sure you have some spare $ on the side in the case of other issues, gtr's can be costly
  24. still for sale, ffdritz hasn't come back to me so he might have given up
  25. i wouldnt stress too much re: getting the answers correct i mean obviously there is merit testing your technical and maths etc for general assesment but sometimes they give you bullshit ones where there is no correct answer they do this to see your lateral thinking and problem solving tactics, even though there is no correct answer ive done this a few times when interviewing techs, give them a problem and provide multiple choice where all the answers are wrong the guy who stands one is the one who scribbles near it trying to debunk the correct answer and goes on to discuss the possible causes etc, the ones you dont want just circle an answer or leave it blank
