  1. do you know anything? the only thing the evo lancer shares with the lancer is the name and the emblem on the dash
  2. ask who ever is going to remap it again but if you have the stocker rb20 ones then rb26 and the resistor pack is probably ok, they are 460cc
  3. yes, you need injectors for the car to run (ie: please be more specific, what do you need help with?)
  4. it doesnt have VVT, VVT is found on the honda b16 (aka vtec) and also on the evo lancer (mivec). the skyline (R33 and R34) have nvcs which is variable cam timing the right solenoid (looking from the engine bay) is part of the nvcs system and it operates from the stock ecu and kick off point is around 4500rpm so below 4500rpm its active to increase torque and midrange and then it kicks itself off to let normal cam timing take care of things http://nissanskyline.6te.net/NVCS.htm NVCS is the acronym for Nissan Variable cam system, it is found in the RB25DE, RB25DET and the RB25DET NEO. NVCS is not to be confused with Hondas V-TECH system which alters lift and duration high in the rev range to give higher peak power. Nissans system uses cam phasing to increase low to mid end engine torque. Optimal valve opening and closure position for a given duration is different for every RPM and load combination, NCVS gives the engine the ability to take these factors into consideration and alters the timing accordingly. This is done using an electronic solenoid which adjusts the rotation of the cam by a maximum of 20 degrees, the solenoid is controlled by the engines ECU. The RB25DE and RB25DET found in the R33 Nissan skyline only use the NVCS system on the intake Cam. The R34 Nissan Skyline is equipped with the NEO version of this engine and both intake and exhaust cams use the NVCS system. The RB20DET and RB26DETT do not use NVCS. Torque curve of a VG30DETT with NVCS off and on notice the low to mid torque increase with the system turned on.

    20" Tyres?

20" inch tyres for $250 cant be good i had 17" tyres for $250 - hankook k104s and they were pretty ordinary, cheap and rubber yes, but suitable for a powered skyline - probalby not
  6. why bother? just buy an off the shelf item thats already got the R&D in it and is direct swap
  7. for those who say its wheelspin city (mine is like this too, well in 1st it was); what tyre setup do you have what about suspension and diff setup how does the power curve look - linear or lightswitch ?
  8. and people wonder why cops pick on imports
  9. is it 70 minutes of cars driving with no sound? ive seen a nsw cruise like that, it got boring quickly not being a prick, just try and make it interesting, not just a behind view of a car
  10. if its misfiring why are you purposely loading it up ?
  11. fyi my std coils were shaggged and i only had misfire on load/boost past 5 grand it would idle and drive fine, so i wouldnt say its coilpacks then more likely plugs or something else
  12. RIP powerfc
  13. get BNR34 wheels and lower it
  14. if the hand controller is displaying 0kmh then it dosent have a speedo signal or its scrambled typical such instances would be smoeones installed a speed cut device and hacked the wiring or someone has cut wire 53. nothing else would cause this so check wire 53 dont bother with the hicas shit, we know wire 53 is cut, so focus no that dont bother draining the battery, will achieve a big fat zero
  15. do a search
  16. the pen timer is just looking at voltage and guessing AFR's, its crap and narrowband so dont worry are you getting resonable economy? how many k's to tank? what ecu (if not stock?) ?
  17. why did you proceed without working knock sensors dude? thats like guarantee'd rebuild....
  18. done its for a good cause
  19. the datalogit guys disected the load axis calc and it just uses map sensor pimv instead of the afm volt and the same style CONST number calc
  20. avcr or powerfc hand controller? have you checked the obvious stuff? unplugged it? smelt it for burnt stuff, looked for any damage etc? anything else wrong with the car?
  21. hey if you can scan that manual that would be great. ive seen where it taps into the boost control port, i suspect this is for power source for the map sensors. so the map sensor connect to the AFM inputs on the loom, that makes sense. ive had a look and even discussion on the datalogit forums its still a 2d map so its purely load and rpm so TPS is used to move the load axis around.
  22. let us know how u go, remember when its on target boost it will run across the horizontal load axis
  23. not sure, the only wiring stuff is what i have in the faq 2rismo got it working perhaps he can help and clear up some of the confusion
  24. do you still have the loom you got from me or did you sell it? the djetro wire in diagram shows you splice it into cly 3 and 4 but that seems odd, placement sounds but not sure where the map sensor signal goes also you would i guess place the two map sensor next to each other, sounds like the GTR had two to try and balance the pressure out on the intake i wonder if the GTIR has two or one map sensor
