  2. theres a thread in the tutorial section on how to debug idle hunt and the aac valve. i dont think it has a voltage, its a mechanical valve/flange
  3. search for the answer its been covered many many times before

  5. drive troys car
  6. thats ace. has someone done it or just a photoshop? anyone got a pic of the limited edition d1 hand controller?
  7. sounds like a r&r tactical decoy device
  8. Event Reminder people's. Only 1 week to go
  9. sounds like a lot of assumptions to me there would be better turbo's out there for that power level
  10. the martini stuff is blue ive got some of that in my engine
  11. theres 5 main things that come to mind when we talk about bb vs non bb 1) price difference ball bearing units are often more expensive. they are expensive for the obvious reason, they are better. but presumably it comes down to balancing the unit possibly different and/or using different equipment / skill in the engineer lab to build bb units 2) spool up or "response" with non ball bearing it will take longer to spool up theres a graph floating a round somewhere of bb vs non bb spool up i think it was about 2 second different in turbine speed response for bb vs non bb. 3) failure rate another issue of non bb is theres a chance of bearing failure when the oil feed is cut off and the bearings are hot. that is if you go for a hard run, and instantly cut the engine off / oil feed. bb have a greater tolerance to heat, whereas the plain / journal brothers do not and can fail. ie if you are doing a run and say stall the car or have to turn it off, say cops pull u over or something. 4) oil feed changes for plain / journal bearings the oil feed needs to be modified to flow more oil into the bearings. they need more oil to keep the flowing and lubed up. bb need less oil so they have a restrictor in the oil line by default. with the journal / plain brothers you need to usually remove the restrictor and or make the oil line bigger / better to flow more oil. 5) oil lifespan as the bearings need more oil flow into them, they go through more oil, that is more oil is pushed through the bearing core to keep it happy and lubed. so your engine oil is "used" at a faster / higher rate than the same engine with a bb turbo unit. im not sure what this means in terms of oil life span in your engine but say bb oil change are every 10,000 you may be to changing it every 7000 k's (guesstimation) if using journal / plain bearing units so there are a few considerations to take into account. hopefully some of the info ive provided may help you make a descision as there are pro's and con's for both bb units and non bb units. we notice that oem manufacturers (well at least we think they do) prefer bb units over non bb units for things such as reliability, longer life span, better oil lifespan, better response and less km's between rebuilding them. if any of the info ive provied is wrong please let me know and ill correct it. the more we all learn the better it is for all of us
  12. its dodgy but it works basically we used a 4 pair wire relay and intercept the power for it and just hard run the power when i turn the switch on. when the switch is in the off mode the pump gets power from the a-lsd puter noramlly. when you run the pump manually after about 3 seconds and pressure has built up the a-lsd system fails and the computers shuts down. that is A-LSD light comes on and it wont activate auto slip mode anymore until you reboot the car. this is because the pressure sensor on the mech lines sense's pressure and says to the puter hey turn the pump off, i can see pressure in the line, but the vspec puter goes "but i never turned the pump on in the first place", something must be wrong so it aborts and fails itself. pump still runs fine and locks, it just wont lock itself when the puter detects wheelspin
  13. 1800 zoidberg

  15. yeah some guy on the rx7 forums did it off topic anyone got a pic of the limited edition d1 spec hand controller? would like to add it to the PFC any others ?
  16. surely there are better choices than kkr plain bearing turbochargers?
  17. i think with a small budget you can bolt on a smallish turbocharger and get some good gains but the issue with the v manifold is a big problem so you would have to go small twins. as long as you dont want captain insano power it should be reasonable ish, but it will all be custom, which is where the costs add up, i dont think there would be many off the shelf kits
  18. it will purely come down to how its tuned you can get around the r&r with the safc (and most poeple do)
  19. rb25 or hks 2530 or gcg hiflow
  20. just tune it with the safc, theres no need to get the mines ecu it will make it worse and youll have to retune the safc with it as the mapping will be different spend the money on getting the safc tuned it will be better in the long run
  21. 1 and 5 volts its too narrow its at 1.2v at idle, i would suggest around 4 volts its on max load / full load the ideal way to activate the system would be on intake air temp that is airtemp inside the pipeing after the compressor outlet that way, regardless of environment, once the intake temps are over X it will activate, and help with heat extraction on the core. you should also tie it into AFM v or load so that even if the airtemp is say 60deg but afm is only 2v then theres no need to activate it
  22. ah i was about to say it could even be dust like we have no idea what it is just a big cloud of crap after a bang were too far away to tell
  23. i would be worried about the walbro pump they have known baddies and tend to fall off in flow as well make sure the fuel pressure is watched closely, so it doesnt lean out and go bang. doesnt the microtech save its tune in nvram?
  24. was pretty big before (the smoke) hard to gauge how big and will come up crap on camera phone cos its so far away
  25. nah ill look like a wierdo going to get some lunch i think its just an exploison of some description i dont think anything has crashed into it (planes etc)
