  1. evo8 vs my car both had usual bolt on mods evo has more average power everywhere with .5 less displacement and 2 less cylinders but more lag (although dyno graph says otherwise)
  2. good stuff well done looks ace
  3. i think they are still ceramic wheel so 0.90 is heaps
  4. -3 means 3 degrees retarded timing +3 means 3 degrees advanced timing to help combat knocking, you can try and take out some timing (retard) to see if it takes away the knocking (usually does). try -3 which is 3 degrees retard across the whole map
  5. yeah whilst there is no "heres how to temp ign adjust" in the FAQ its covered in there. the problem is theres no english manual thats upto date so you either have to use the old school rx7 english manual or the japanese one
  6. MAIN MENU SETTING, IGN/INJ PRESS DOWN 3 TIMES ADJ for IGN COR will change to -3 Try and drive around and see if you can replicate the knocking / misfiring. When you power the car off this correction goes back to 0 (zero). This is by design and how its meant to be. It's here as a test/tune mode and not meant to be a permenant correction method.
  7. use temp ign adjust (covered in the faq on how to use it) and take out 3 degree's timing, see if you still have the same problem
  8. have a read of the powerfc faq in my signature covers all of the common questions and howto's for working with knocking problems. i don't believe its a any of those and just a few points have some timing thats a bit too advanced. in the warmer weather its knocking a bit more and also when you place the car on load, typically when rpm is low and you up are going up a hill youll find via map tracer that you may be going into map areas that you dont often go into, or that haven't been tuned correctly as its hard to go over the entire map on the dyno and cover all scenarios, so it could just be 1 or 2 spots with a bit too much timing
  9. are u running with 02 feedback on or off? have u changed the 02 feedback co-efficient?
  10. covered in the powerfc faq in depth, have a read of it covers most of your common questions its in my signature
  11. Thanks to all those who attended. Good night and good weather. Food was pretty good I thought. Interested to hear what you guys thought of the food? Thanks again
  12. you will make no more power and it will add throttle lag if you add or change nothing at the same time
  13. boost comes up on the hand controller and datalogit logs and u can do correction based on boost pressure
  14. ace photos hey
  15. We won't be going to albert park. Instead there is a local park (funnily enough on park st) less than half a block up from Wiseguys pizza so we can eat dinner there. Albert Park is a bit further away and has no local bins that I can think of. So it makes sense to goto the local park which has bins and a grass area. There are no seats so bring one if you want, upto your personal preference. See you all tomorrow night
  16. standard is 80mm, same as the z32
  17. electronic units have brains
  18. covered in the power fc faq, have a read if you want (in my sig)
  19. the time u spend mucking around with it, it might just be cheaper to buy an off the shelf kit. go for it and good luck, but it might not be as cheap as you think, and the core could suck. is it a top mount core ?
  20. stand alone ecu suspension mods
  21. you will gain nothing and it will just cost $$$ to do. dont bother with it. sell it and move on with your life
  22. oh yeah it would run sure and start, but i bet it would deontate its a$$ off if you put it under any load with any half decent ignition timing
  23. a friend who used to run a local servo a few years back said it drops octane even while sitting in the tanks at the servo. so servos that dont do as many customers, fill up less often, are likely to have lower octane fuel than a busy store than fills up reguarly
  24. read the faq in my signature, covers all the questions you have
