as i said originally, too many guys buy $900 turbo's and they are poor mans spec with crapstick housings and they just plain suck. then the person has to spend another $1500 to change it and are stuck with a crap turbo. do some research and go for a turbo where you can choose different options and see the compressor maps.

how are the results varied when you adjust the duty cycle? how is the solenoid connected? (draw a diagram) where is the map sensor connected to (diagram would help)

the problem with choosing ebay turbos and other "from a friend" turbo's is that you have no idea if it will mate up correctly and how it will perform. not to mention the state of tghe bearings and other components. usually they are worse than the stocker unit, plain bearing oil cooled only. you can take out a lot of guess work by choosing an off the shelf garrett unit. you can look at all the specs and compressor maps and even change the flange options before you order to suit. so theres no lag guess work, no power band guesswork as all the mathematics are there too often we see peple buy "cheap ebay turbo's" or "get it off a mate cheap" only to find the suck in response and lag and are just generally crappy. sure there are some bargains, but it usually leads to shit to4 style dinosaur combos that suck. much better technology out there something to think about

its a convoy cruise to our motorokhana weekend in shepparton. its just easier to go down there in a bunch of cars instead of driving up by yourself. you are welcome to come and specatate on the saturday if you wish

its pretty easy, from that meet point drive on the hume theres a turnoff for shepparton, take that left (the exit ramp is about 70k's odd from donnybrook) then head to shepparton. note lots of speed cameras on the way its about 1.5 hours from donnybrook to shepparton once you are in shepparton most of the guys hit maccas in the morning for breakfast youll see the typical bunch of skylines, wrxs, evo's etc in the carpark. if not, keep driving through shepparton, till you are almost at the end of it the road is called wanganui rd, its a left, on its sign post is a blue "DECA" arrow signpost. take that road for about 2 minutes, take the 2nd entrace (car entrace) and we are there in the car park if you get lost 0404 TINT 99

yeah its the older style poor mans hks spec its a mismatchec combo, its either too large compressor or too small exhauast housing. it just makes it have extra lag for no good reason. its an extension of the 2530/2535, they tried to add more power, but f**ked up the combo and it just has more lag than it should. still good for $800 not a bad replacement for the stocker if you can tune it well and probably take out some of the lag anyway. id buy it for $800 as well

Probably the most fun and exciting specating point is the marshalling/officials points, these are ace and you're always on the action so plently of thrills and spills.

yes the rb20 ap engineering model will work, buy you will max out the load points, you will most likely need datalogit to rescale the afms. cubes had this problem. the 2540 is too small for the rb30det, as it flow heaps more exhaust gas, so youll need a bigger housing. the 2540 is poor mans hks spec anyway, must better choices out there the powerfc faq (in my sig) covers the various hybrid pfcs to use the rb30det
