  1. its on my site, check out my signature. sw and po are internal gate and external gate selector. scrambler switch is for temp higher boost mode, ie: run 10psi always and scramble to 12psi for 30 seconds when pressed
  2. no aftermarket ecu works with auto
  3. the diy rb30 guide tells you all you need to know, failing that the rb30 build thread will certainly have covered this before, a search will give you the answers. for poor mans budget i think you can even use rb30e pistons
  4. clutch is slipping. time for a new heavy duty one. you'd be in the power band to kill the stock clutch so time for an upgrade. if you keep slipping it, it will fail completely and you wont be able to drive the car, so just baby it around
  5. simpsons did it, simpsons did it, simpsons did it this topic has been covered to death over 100 times
  6. outside tread wear or uneven wear across the tyre means the camber is off balance. i used to have that problem, then got some whiteland camber kit stuff throw in, works a treat
  7. nah it sounds about right, the rev limit is at 7000 but what the ecu see and what the tacho see are two different things. it probably did reach 7800 at once stage, if you just keep bouncing and trying to make it, it will probably get there. i also get 3 different rev and speed settings from hand controller, rsm and stock tacho and speedo
  8. my rev limit is 7000, dont ask how it got to 7800 i guess it just keeps bouncing higher and higher
  9. in the r33 cheaply? no, throw it in the bin and get an aftermarket ecu curious to what exactly they are "tuning"
  10. lateral G record for the day in my car 1.14 lateral G's to the right
  11. do you have a remap? if YES the ecu could be picking up excessive detonation and dropping to the low octane map was the rich and retard protection removed/disabled/edit'ed to go away? if NO rich and retard is being activated due to the ecu seeing excessive airflow, ie: more than it is happy with dealing with, so it panics and protects itself, dumps the timing and richens itself up. a search will give you the answers you are looking for
  12. yep so do you know how many k's you got once empty ?
  13. just post up the plates, it's fine, theres no point blacking out the plates, it achieves zero
  14. off topic but did anyone fill up in melbourne just before D4d and then note fuel economy once they had gone through a full tank? I filled up in melbourne the night before and was empty at 460k's including trashing the car for the day (used about 1/3 @ D4D), interested what others got ?
  15. oh, you're referring to poor mans screamer pipe? it sound will stupid with the stock turbo, more like an exhaust leak. dont bother IMHO
  16. the screen isnt a restriction. hpi doesnt know squat
  17. on an airflow meter ecu boost has zero to do with load and how it affects load axis placement. it is purely based around airflow meter load or airflow coming into the system. going from 12psi to 14psi on the stock turbo for example isnt likely to change anything as there wont be any more airflow increase, or least very minimal as the compressor is out of effiency. more or less air will affect the load axis placement, thus adjust the final afr results
  18. it is not fuel cut, it is excess airflow protection. it retards the timing and richens itself up to protect itself. it is not a fixed value, i believe it is a ramp table based around rpm. that is you may not hit it at 3.8 volts at 5500rpm but you may hit it at 3.8volts at 2100rpm. its scales based on RPM. you are best off getting a piggyback to work around it or a remap or standalone ecu
  19. thanks for clearing it up so rx7 and r32 use exhaust cat temp light as their "engine check light" flash method. also for those interested ive added how to use low octane fuel with the powerfc if you get in a situation where you have to put in penis fuel, it tells you how
  20. all the best geoff. pete was gonna call him after he got an sms from him. pete was gonna ask if he had a spare radiator
  21. so you pick forced induction which is related to turbochargers and intake modifications.... ? try here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...hp?showforum=10
  22. did you read the FAQ? its all covered
  23. nothing to do with forced induction
  24. it sounds like the r32 engine and exhaust lights differ slightly from the r33 the rx7 is like this, some of them use the exhaust temp light instead of engine check light
  25. idle should be 1.2 volts full load depends on what rpm and how much air is coming in should be somewhere near 4 volts at a guess
