  1. I have the elctrical diagrams for them now. should make debugging them a fair whack easier. I have one with a CAN issue currently and this is going to help immensly! (FYI they are CAN bus driven car depsite how they appear as a 'simple box'. )
  2. Spotted Gerry White in his blue M35 on the way to toowoomba. we passed you going the other way at clifton in the corolla.
  3. google does a fair job of it. only thing I foudn was it strts coming unstuck on large files.for me it would be a case of doing msot of it with teh translater and then doing it block by block for the rest. bit of a pain in the asre but doable. after all that then we profit regarding the C34 - up to you I know I can source Z11 Cube FSMs ex japan. they are not cheap but they are definitly doable. if you have $300 to toss around shoot me a PM and I'll help you get a full set.
  4. true but with a collective effort we acheive what we originally wanted - english service manuals. I can do the electronics side of it to a point. some of the diagrams are in japanese but that is easyish to sort out via a mate of mine.
  5. as a marker (for looks/feel of the documents) also have a english G35 sedan document to work from. the layouts look quite similar to what I'm used to looking at.
  6. ok those with acrobat 9 handy - go nuts! its an open document.
  7. given that most of what you guys need is here already and duncan provided the link for 'translation' how about we all take a pdf and rework it to english. I have the AV one open now and I figure I can sort that one to a point. if the PDF is not locked I'll attack it with acrobat and pop things in the right spots. who's thought about doing the same thing?
  8. yes please.
  9. Dunc, if you have what I THINK you have make me an ISO of it. (I'll send you a DVD.).
  10. I was thinking the same thing.. I have a PDF printer so given enough time it could probably be translated by a group of us anyway.
  11. those interested in the firmware upadate procedure AV.PDF - p67.
  12. AV is the correct one. that makes PLENTY of sense to me.
  13. thank you! that makes my life a bit easier when it comes to reverse eingineering the TV tuner ( I have 90% of it already sussed.)
  14. thats not bad actually. if you are game pop the deck out of that thing and rip the H'Drive out. it is a 2.5" item and it is locked. HDD tools will unlock it. dump it and play. looking at what you ahve done you are half way to translating this thing. the one I have here has R35 GTR on it and I have a V36 one as well (with a dead drive as I later found out!). so are you game?
  15. look for the AV PDF. would like that one
  16. yep. few cars down that way I believe have that sort of problem.. MAtt, I have a Z11 Cube of his so I'll speak to him once I hand that back.
  17. two words troy - FLUKE 78. (or a DSO depending on what I am chasing.)
  18. check ALL of the fuses. from memory there is one in the boot and one at your knee for the radio. does the clock work?
  19. yes and no. are we talking the OEM system here? ETC is easy. find the unit, unplug it and away you go.
  20. and yes that is a rumor for the navi actually working. I cannot remember how to open one of those remotes but it definitely has a battery in it. the 'key' light will change colour when the battery needs changing. the slot is the reader for the 'chip' in the key. use it when the key is flat.
  21. if its a pioneer unit - power the camera wtih ACC and take the reverse signal off the light. that way yuou have the camera in motion when needed.
  22. ahh. that changes things. are you in the SE by chance (boronia?)? (I'm considering a run 2nd week of sept.)
  23. yes but I need an ADM GTR to do it. looking at your carsin your profile you own a V35. (already done those.)
  24. ok I have them out and I'm waiting on a reply for the switches. (he's back from osaka.) once I have that I'll send you a PM.
  25. its in the arm rest on those. there are a few ways to hack video into those cars - none of which are cheap.
