  1. things that do not work, parts costs etc (these things are not cheap to fix as far as spares go.) et al.
  2. have those here. stock can be a cd,md or 6cd. 6cd is what supports the SWC buttons.
  3. bus switch is the select switch. set that to off. the 4pin plug is the power into it. yel +12 red - key (or blu/wht - been a while) blk - gnd. that should fire it up.
  4. think I have one here for you actually. you are still up for a decent amount of $$ though. they are not cheap 2nd hand.
  5. mate of mine has a yard in osaka - in there at the moment is a S1 3lt M35. car is complete/undamaged at this point and I believe it will be a half cut with every hanging panel , accessory available. one point here: if you are after a small item it will most likely come as part of a larger one. by the time he pays someone to pull a small item off to the time it lands here it is simply not worth doing. bear that in mind when asking for bits. driveline has 202k on it and is a navi version interior. I'll add pix tomorrow but the car will strip and pack towards the end of sept for those intersested.
  6. and you bitch about parts costs now v36 isnt that much better cost wise for parts. less things break on it though.
  7. nope all of the do it. motor design issue (age does not help either.)
  8. as a suggesstion for the cruise. disable it and stick one of mine in there. that saves the annoyance of teh 110kmh lockout and the annoyance of the thing being weird..
  9. send me your chassis number and I'll tell you.
  10. yep that thing is OLD - 7982 was about 95/96. the G150 could be AI based OR plain use. should be a switch on the base/back of it. to make it do what you want. do you have the remote for the 7982?
  11. not really ($600 was the last one I did and that was about 3 weeks back.) bend over - this is going to hurt..
  12. thing is they DO NOT need bags in the seats for this fault. the ram is in the seat base. given that the youngest car (NM35) is 7 yrs and the bags/supporting devices are supposed to be done at 10 yrs most of these cars are either due to be done or about to fail.
  13. its now available had one in for a bit of electrical work and whilst I had it did a cruise control for it. so if the 3.5Lt guys want it - I can now do them.
  14. shouldn't need anything done to it IF he tapped it correctly.
  15. rip out the lot and send it over here.. thats something I can fix with a jig I have here.
  16. need the seat replaced. already done one in a PM35. there is a airbag ram in the base of the seat and the explosive device has died. its nothing to do with the diagnostic routine you guys are doing and in fact it renders half the system useless when in fault mode. not the sort of thing you want when you smack something at speed.
  17. have not had a chance to call and set the appt up. trying to get rid of a few odd jobs first.
  18. not too bad and good for those on a budget. still sell the odd one myself. as for best - how deep are your pockets?? (or how paranoid are you??)
  19. you are in perth. they are based there - ask them. if I have a pdf of the quick users guide handy I'll link you to it. I am NOT going to hand out the install guide. if you want something changed on it I strongly recommend geting the people that fitted it to change it.
  20. I know all the doors are coming over. will have to see what the mirrors are worth. how much do you have in mind?
  21. I can tell you that the person I am dealing with does not operate as a pick a small part service. that said given that the car was hit on that side its probably destroyed. if you are having a panic on parts for this car - dont buy one. parts to repair common faults are not overly cheap in comparison to a local toyota sedan. whilst I can source NEW parts ex japan for these people still complain about cost..
  22. from what I can see most of it is on the drive. there is a bootloader in the chassis but thats it from what I can tell. I'd hit it with a hex editor. its written in posix.
