  1. check email I stated it there.
  2. quite possibly. I have the car currently.
  3. spotted on hamilton rd yesterday arvo: grey R32 GTR - filthy and covered in shipping writing- had trade plate on the rear of it.
  4. find me a few gig of space and I'll toss the thing into it. I do not have the space.
  5. depends. if one of those is dragging/bouncing then yep do them as well. again I have REVISED part numbers for those.
  6. one hten the other, part of the reason I said to do both.
  7. same as me in a way. quite a few posts back thats why I stated if you didnt understand do not attempt.
  8. nah those are easy. undo the lower dash panel and remove the shroud around the cluster. clock it held with 4 screws and its out. check that its actually plugged in
  9. nope. different. have part numbers in the workshop for them though.
  10. on any of the cars I have done alarms on that door switch will run BOTH locks. the actuator is stuffed. there is no fixing it as the entire thing is sealed and it is the door catch as well. ask millos when yu see him next as I did his when I was last down there.
  11. given you are in WA you should have a immobiliser as part of roadworth anyway. to answer your question (PM) I'm Qld based. see one of the westside stores (pref cannington) for a decent immobiliser.
  12. nothing does. it has BT though. one of the guys here has his working via the menus so it is possible.
  13. that pretty much sums it up.
  14. so it runs now?
  15. do EMS out of osaka and Nagoya & tokyo - no issues.
  16. yep he likes to drive that thing
  17. rip the MX 40 out as well. buy the sound of it you have popped a fuse when you yanked the winder unit out. also sounds like a crap job.
  18. if the car is driveable - run it past and I'll tell you whats up. one of them is a fuse in teh boot the other I need to see.
  19. I have a connector that will plug that into the car with no cutting. - at wavel hts btw.
  20. hence my comment. I dare say when you look at the paint (and being black it will be VERY obvious) that you will see different shades as well. if you are lucky you will see the overspray as well. also look under the seats for the airbag harnesses that are bypassed (assuming it did the bags or the pretensioners.) as well. there are a LOT of little things on these that get stuffed up when you crack them into something so be wary on that.
  21. probably easier to swap the box out.
  22. depth on a 33 is fine. I have stuck deep decks on those before. make sure you have the radio brackets.
  23. troy, not quite as old as you but I did own a set of kraco speakers at one stage. I went through MECP when they started it. there were still kids then that wanted the dream but not the workload. things never really change on that side of it. I still get 1-2 people a month asking me for a job with little prior knowledge. to be honest I see this industry doing what the housing industry did.back in the late 80s. there were so many builders at one point that 'natural selection' (for lack of a better term) weeded out most of the crap ones whilst hurting the good ones. those that survived are now doing well and can charge for their experience. with technology going the way it is there will always be a need for a good auto sparky and if there is one that understands sound then even better. the average joe doesnt know half the technology in todays cars - as long as it starts , radio plays , and it drives they are happy. (though they bitch when their favorite new gizmo wont plug into it!) if everyone would actually see that specialists charge a price for a reason then half this crap would be gone in my opinion. hell the $4.4k scan tool I have is a must in my daily routine. that has to be paid for in some way shape or form
  24. WOFTAM! width is 180mm and the extra 5ish will be the trim ring. if you must buy crap buy an eonon. at least when that fcks up you have some recourse.
