  1. yes it is the battery. alarms (electronically) rarely fcuk up.(installs do.) batteries need to be changed every few years anyway.
  2. I'll trial it. get me a copy.
  3. have one here i think. its the generic VDO one and NOT the nissan written version. nissan version doens support birdview though.
  4. and to answer the question re maps : local is VDO based. format from the outside is totally different. look at the murano as a starter.
  5. no real idea. I know they are not used in any of the cars though. all the ones I have worked on were taped to the harness.
  6. you can actually.
  7. (holds breath ) unless you mean a 460 or 480 xv.. the others are WAY too easy to bypass.
  8. ROK straps. google it . I sell them for $20 a set.
  9. up to you. I'm going to start doing these at compliance so they are done correctly (for those that use ISASO or NIZMO here in brissy.)
  10. word of advice- leave it all alone. if you activate it by mistake (IF it works- see other post ) then you have stranded yourself. if you have the nissan branded tag press it into the slot below the steering column. that will activate the dealer fitted alarm. the OE one 1s self triggered. the autowatch one is the same.
  11. depends how it was done. if they cut the cables then yes it will be crap. as for fixing it- probably a bit late IF they cut the cables.
  12. you have a later car I assume. to date its easier to pop a standalone BT kit in. the OE one is integrated into the radio and works with the supplied phone for that car only! unable to determine phone. btoh cars I have worked on didnt have it.
  13. ok you have: clock flashing light - OE immobiliser. security light - dealer fitted alarm autowatch tag - compliance immobiliser. if I read that correctly.
  14. so do I order another one?
  15. yup! though I can use a different camera on it quite easily.
  16. finally have the correct one. initial pricing for the one that you commonly see on the rear of the V35 is around the $800 mark landed. to finish them off I would need a paint code BEFORE I sold/shipped one out. any interest?
  17. thats exactly the problem you described to me. so it works as I stated now? duncan, PM pls.
  18. +1 and if you have OE lead tinted windows like most of these cars do the range is almost nix. GSM paging - works but needs a SIM to keep it going. ARM/Disarm via GSM - yes. know of one module that does it in conjunction with an upgrade alarm. have a 350Z on the gold coast setup that way.
  19. its the OE dealer fitted alarm proximity sensor. touch the spot on the dash and it arms. for get about it and the siren inside the car goes off. should have been pulled anyway (see alarm post.).
  20. who did the compliance on it? if ISASO then it was me that removed it. I've had 3 of them disable 3 cars on me so when I do the compliance immobiliser them they come out. its not factory anyway. they are dealer fitted and some of them are barely fitted. most are in with scotch locks and they are ALWAYS loose. the black tag on your keyring(autowatch badged) is the Immobilser. two pt std issue. the round thing below the boot release switch that looks like something pushes into it does nothing.
  21. no probs. next lot are due in two days.
  22. same probelm I pointed out to andy actually. I have a Jap map here and the format of it looks nothing like anything local - garmin included.
