Ok I am going to do something I usually do not do..
To take one of these cars for a ride you need to get past the column lock. Hammer or a crowbar is fine for that.
Then you need to get power on . Screwdriver works there once you destroy the key lock you twist to switch and you have a car .
Now if someone has done the job properly the the alarm and paging unit has triggered and the owner is on the way out with a baseball bat. If not the then the alarm wiring gets ripped out and the siren smashed. Then the car is gone.
All of this takes about 3-4 minutes max to do..
Have your attention yet?
Thing to bear in mind thought is that the sensor is a thermistor and the output of it IS NOT linear. Google thermistor and you should get an understanding on how it works.
Adding resistors won't fix it , the correct sensor for the gauge will.
Since you are near me pop past. I can sort the column and rekeying the car will be easy as well. Done plenty.
May pay to see if I can steal it as well.
Maybe but the fellow that posted and bumped the thread was privy to me hot wiring and bypassing two alarms in under 45 seconds.
He has a right to be happy that I did it before a thief did.
Put it this way there is EASILY 48 -50 hours of labor in relocating that unit elsewhere and that is before you take into account the custom work required to move the AC controls to a suitable position where you can access them.
As for sorting out external video into the system , yes that is doable.
Give me / Alan a call over the next few days . I will be talking to him about this job in the morning.
hit up jamie noy . there is a fellow in the valley that does work on exotics and the like. damn good at what he does. name escapes me for now.
