    got a multimeter? if so probe for +12 on the wht/vio wire. if you have power there work the locks that module should click. from there start tearing door panels off.

    what car? 32? if so pop the drivers kickpanel out and there is a module bolted into a body cavity. start there with a multi meter. the module will say lock timer.

    have seen several of them.. they are available locally as well. believe me the people that have them aren't fussed with the ticket they get. they have them so they do not get harassed..

    there are several here. I do teh work after they do theirs so its not a probelm. you get hte car complete. this is how I do two compliance shops now. easier for me. ring me on monday and I'll go over a few things with you. (see sig.)

    I need the car. get it complied here and I'll do it. there are a dozen different tuner boxes in those things and its best if the car is in front of me.

    that said if its like every other dealer fit option I've seen onthese It can be modded to take another nokia - benz did a similar thing.

    look in the book under remote learning. thats a tip hopefully they installer didnt lock the unit.

    good to hear it sorted. do you know how wet the car was by chance?

    in my books - autowatch $700 fitted. mongoose - $550-575 fitted depending on car. put it this way I'm currently working on a $4m ferry that the security is quiktrak based. now there are 13 of these things running around , you do the math. the system keeps them intact and the $30k or so of gear in them in place. I'd say iQT does the job nicely.

    slow car in auto form. the 3.5 is more fun. had a 300gt in the workshop a few weeks back. seems to be the slightly povo version - on the electrical side - no boot release on key, plain cloth seats may have a few dealer fitted options ( mirror fold was on this one.) but in all quite plain. are you looking at the sedan or coupe?

    not quite. they are made for different markets and they will be totally different. locally murano uses VDO and I'm fairly sure that maxima does as well.

    pull the DVD firmware version up on yours - I'll take a few snaps of the one I have here. want to compare notes. need someone to translate the SERVICE menus on this thing. theres 6 other menus that are not listed in the G35 manual. (CBF looking at the V35 one - too hard to read!)

    on the Mar '04 I have here CAN lines are on pins 3 & 6 - CAN L = pin 3.

    ok you are dropping a CAN line. no go on that front. I'm going to check a 350z when I go past nissan but the last 300gt I pulled down that was the layout. I'll stick my head in the 350GT (04 spec) int eh work shop and get the pinning on it as well. should be 3&6 though. dumb question - resistor pack (can't think of the correct name.) on the coil supply side. shorted ? bad?
