  1. both of those are modded to suit local conditions. buy one from overseas and the boys will 'see' it. lasers are used here btw. www.radar.co.nz if you are curious about local laws (I know a bit about them and can access them if I need to.)
  2. they do run OBD2. do you have a pinout of yours. the can lines are on pins 3&6. throw the right commands up those and you have data. I'm looking at the USDM version with the G35 loaded on it. have you tried the local dealership yet? how is it killing them?
  3. ok thats what I thought. that means laguage and map upgrades. still poking around with the 04 I have here.
  4. is the system XENAVI? if so out the unit comes and in goes a local one. keep the screen.
  5. probably not much help - I'm about to buy one. what scanner ar tehy using this one : http://www.etas.com/en/products/1273.php or a generic one.
  6. turn the car off. bring me a USB stick and I'll drop the service manual on it for you I'll grab a few high res pics of the service screens. actaully - I'll pull shots off the service manual.
  7. I've done that with the one I have here. noticed the menu you pointed out. this one is greyed out. going to try somehting outside the square. nissan dealership still waiting on infiniti to get back (I'll chase them in the morn again.) to me. theres a few things in diagnostics that point to language but I believe its still software based. going to look on ebay for a part number to compare what I have vs the 'correct' version. btw the buttons and screen are just that.. skizo, the CD's you have - what EXACTLY are they - maps or data?
  8. $2k fitted with 1 yr monitoring factored in. you need to be on the east coast (or adelaide) for it to work.
  9. you need to find a licenced installer first off. there are a couple listed in the professionals thread up top. as for price - up to them.
  10. true. if you use the OE module to drive the drivers door that does make things interesting.
  11. more power should fix that
  12. can you NOT TYPE IN CAPS PLEASE!!!! ( it makes you look like you are yelling.) yes I have done it - several times. requires a nissan pocket and a bit of time and fiddling. I'll see if I can dig up the pics. I made a ABS panel for most of them.
  13. too late.. (its on the way.)
  14. let me get a reply and I'll go from there damien, if it works yours will get done anyway once I get it to the workshop.
  15. the nesa version was one I originally looked at. it does RGB out. I have the pinning or it here and it was the original cable I had built O/s. nice to see ryda doing the right thing on price. mapping on it is 3d like the garmin unit. the garmin has one advantage over it. the STOCK GPS antenna is a plug in affair. the rest is not but in my case thats not an issue. Waz, remember the pearl 35 I had a few days back - its staying here a few more days so I'm going to strip it and make more notes I'm making a call to garmin now btw.
  16. and the USDM version. been there already. theres coding that stops it to my knowledge.
  17. I'm looking at the USDM offical consult. its not a GUI based thing. (IE not consult 3) I'm waiting on a reply from a few places O/S before I commit to anything. as for Fees- yet to work that side of it out. to me it would be a fee at compliance. don't want to pay it - no probs. estimated cost of the thing is a 4 figure sum that I would amortize across 30-40 cars. I'll leave it at that for now. skizo, wouldnt mind a chat with you when you have time.
  18. yep. waiting on a email reply so I can see what I can change on the chassis/body electrics could well affect the radio and TV but I WILL NOT know until I get a reply. I know on my van (2006 holden combo) I can specify where it is and change a few things on it . radio settings being one of them. I figure this one may be the same.
  19. I'll see what I can find. I do not have a garmin account.
  20. guys, looking into this firstly. IF I can get my hands on the consult software for the V35/M35 and IF it will sort out the display (IE english instead of japanese) would there be interest. looking firstly if it works then I would be doing the cars (as requested) at compliance here in brisbane. THIS WILL NOT FIX THE NAV! I'm getting 2 or so requests a week for the whole system to be put to english so I may as well do something about it who's interested? THIS SERVICE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE! Use the info in this thread but do not contact me about this!
  21. and the time to fit it- some charge for it some do not. I do.
  22. doesnt seem to in the 350GT I have here currently. customer has the screen down and I have backed it out of the workshop a few times now. I'll have to look at the mech when I tear waz's one down.
  23. on par. GPS wise.blau lacks the 3d mapping but the blau has a AV in that can be used for a multitude of things that the garmin/kenwood does not . it also supports a reverse camera as well.
  24. ok price is correct. as is the list then gave. actuator is for DRIVERS door though.
