  1. give me a bit and I'll upload them.
  2. yep - check that fuse. 99% of the time when you do your stunt it pops..
  3. as in remove it and fit another. its an OLD alpine alarm system modded to suit the nissan application. not really repairable
  4. does the remote say nissan on it?if so the only way you get remote entry is to start again.
  5. likewise. I go out occasionally but thats it. that said - who's going to clean the mess up that is left when everyone leaves. aspley parking lot is atrocious after everyone leaves.
  6. its the motor thats screwed in his case. mast is easy - shortened commodore mast will do it.
  7. pretty much. that said if they work use them.
  8. dave, have a customer in adelaide that wanted this exact thing done. then he thought about it, what if the OE key dies.. I'm quite happy to do either of them depending on what the customer wants. this particular car is come to brissy first so I get to do it. I'm probably going to use a CAN module on it to save dramas..
  9. exactly. if its plated and has the papers IN THE CAR to back up the plate - what is your worry?? that said I'll probably venture down in the corolla first before driving my subaru wagon down there. last time I was at aspley I got a strange look (driving the starlet) so I never went back. an off trivia point. why was BWCP set up? the organisers didn't want the dickheads out with them when they were street racing.. (yes that was the true reason.) I see what you are doing and if you pull it off cleanly great. bearing in mind that magnesium dr (crestmead) was another spot that lots of people gathered at and it was blocked off plenty of times and canaries handed out. (I was there a few of them and managed NOT to get one.) another case we had back in 2002 was this: we orgainsed a 15 car cruise and set a meeting point at yatala. when we left I had to kick another 10 cars OFF the tail of us (we were all on two way radios.) out front of said meeting place before we could continue on. the police sat beside us the whole way to NSW despite us hoppping on the radio and telling them we were doing nothing wrong. (we were doing a byron run for sun up photos.) they marked us with two unmarked cars watching us the entire way thinking we were going to race. we were out for a nice under the limit drive to watch the sun come up in byron and nothing else. as been said its the twits that spoil it. get rid of those and it works.
  10. please specify which version. 99% of htem only lock the passenger door on speed. they do not unlock it. it can be modded to do both doors with another actuator in the drivers door (s1.5 or s2 had the remote entry option so the actuator was there.)
  11. ok then thats one variant of it. sounds like what I have done with 350z's
  12. autowatch CLAM - I figure this is what frank is using. I use a different one on the 350z's as its a lot easier to use. in his case (if assumption is correct.) he has the OE key driving it and thats it.
  13. take a pic of the underdash for me will you
  14. actually they did have remote central locking AS A DEALER FIT option. have pulled it out of several 32s and a few 33s. as for alarm/ imobiliser - no.
  15. I know of Rockford item that will hammer them for that price (200.2 or a 300.1) if you are looking for subs and amp in that budget then its not going to net much. couple of questions: how loud do you want it (or have it) what do you listen to? realistic budget?
  16. bottom pic is ABS wiring. top pic - I can see the rear speakers there but thats it. if that plug came from a round finned box then its the rear speaker amp otherowise - no idea. can you take a more distant shot so I can see all of the mess.
  17. you'll need two relays..
  18. I'll have to crawl around the column of a 33 to tell you the exact colours. you will need a 5 pin relay labelled : 86,85,87,87a,30. wired in this fashion: 85- gnd 86 +12 IGN (blk/red on column) 30 - light circuit in (red/blue) 87a - light circuit out. that will switch them off when you turn the key off.
  19. he's a cracker if you do get to meet him. (45+ autoelec with a serious sense of humor.)
  20. show me a pic and I'll be able to tell you.
  21. show me a few pics of what you are talking about. then what you are saying will make sense . got an alarm on it yet?
  22. no idea. better image would be nice.
  23. yep - pull the unit - break it down and remove the cd mech.. to replace the CD mech is $1k roughly. thats waht yours needs.
  24. he's trying to use the OE key to trigger the alarm. it can be done (and has multiple times by me on a 350z) but the person doing it needs to know what they are doing. fanta, Controller Area Network- ln laymans terms - take concept of the internet and squash it into your car. everything talks to everything else via a computer command. break the link and it all comes to a grinding halt..
  25. indeed. ring me when you get a sec. (want to rip your car apart )
