two screws lower right. that panel will pull out and the hdd is behind it.

also - take your time when you pull it. make a mistake and forget one of the BIG plugs and that dash will light up like a chrsitmas tree..

you will have to make a shell of it from memory. there was one unit that the HDD was on the outside with a acess panel. do not think it was this one though. throw a front shot up and I will tell you.

MHDD - I made a typo. HDD tools will unlock it BUT if you do not DISABLE the lock it will relock again when you shove it into the machine. http://hddguru.com/software/2005.10.02-MHDD/ this disables the lock. not sure of your background but you will need to memory map that thing. the USDM item is different UNLESS you get a later one then the video side of it will more than likely be in the same (or similar) spot. the rest is up to you

AVIC411.com. start with that for unlocking it. http://www.hdd-tools.com/products/rrs/ then MFDD . (google that) then play. I would also have a software emulator handy and have the code for the SHX4 processor. thats all I will give - dont ask for more!

this one has an open resistor as a start. the LED was also gone. easier to swap the cluster since one is available rather than dick around trying to find the correct LED. my thoughts anyway.
