Quick note to those ringing 3-4 times a week on this. V36. if you are BUYING one of these cars BUY IT WITHOUT the navi option. I can BUILD what you want then AND make the AUS navi touch based AND integrate it back into the existing car. forget the dream of english swaps for now. cost is a mild 4 figure exercise. I will not elaborate on price as its is really a $POA exercise.

think about the CARB EO tags stuck on US based perfomance items. same idea when you look at it from a legal stance. if we get into the aftermarket parts that do not conform debate then that really opens up a can of worms.

GM have been offering it as an option since 2007 in their northern built trucks. the way they do it though it quite a bit different to the aftermarket setup. add to the fact that most of the aftermarket installers will not (and often do not care) fit all the safety interlocks. what MEA have done is open a can of worms. there is also a bias on that as the author works for DEI locally..

(cynical mode ) so you want me to come take your car in the middle of the night ? may as well you have made the 3 basic things a lot easier for me to access.. (/cynical mode) in all honesty find a unit that has one built in or one that will allow a timer to work with it. autowatch have them built in and they can be wired accordingly with various countermeasures. ( customers of mine know what this means - send me a PM and I will explain it.) mongoose will go either way. they have the ability to act as a timer or will work with one IF they are setup correctly. its more about install than alarm though.

for which harness. for the most part a 32 GTR one is close enough. if you need wire for wire then I did a diagram of the engine harness (starter) the rest I know if you are up for a chat. harness has been in/out of mine 4-5 times now.

not bad. about to get back into mine in a few weeks once i get the'other' car sorted.
