  1. For a bit more you could have just gotten a Haltech
  2. how is your fuel pressure? also your TPS voltage with your foot off the accelerator is wrong (shouldn't affect cranking/starting). Try slightly constrict your fuel return hose with a pair of visa grips and try start the car (better yet run a fuel pressure gauge/sensor on your pressure side).
  3. I agree with you here, or even a M5 F90 V8 TT, out of the box 460kW STOCK
  4. and Nissan engineers never envisaged these RB blocks/heads doing triple to quadruple the power they were designed for, but here we are (inserts blown motors, cracked blocks, blown turbos, etc.)
  5. They were good for their time in the 90s and 00s lol. Noticed most jap tuners back in the day rarely went more than 1.5bar boost?
  6. The Japanese never envisaged running 2~3bar of boost through a motor, nor was E85 in mind for them. This is why you see cars with boost running Jap springs getting into all sorts of issues with valve float. One thing to note, with VCAM the consensus is to stick to about 80lb seat pressure. @The Mafia had a few goes at getting it right.
  7. Hey Damo! thanks for offering your services but I may have just hit up that Boost International guy yesterday and paid for a modified design. Should be done soon, hopefully it works out how I planned. If not, I'll touch base with you
  8. Motorsports just sucks in NSW in general, there SFA tracks around. I remember Oran Park skid pan days were great, $80 ~ $100 the entire day per car. Sure Eastern Creek is a motorsport park, but it's not affordable for most young enthusiasts. Now Wakefield with their 4x event per month limit will just mean hiring the track would be even more expensive. At this rate, getting a motion simulator seems like a better investment.
  9. Some of my comments below, please don't take offence as it's just constructive criticism. hks springs No, don't do it. They don't even tell you the seat pressure. 2x bosch 525 with AN12 Why on earth do you even need 12AN? You're not fuelling it with Methanol, 8AN is enough, heck 10AN if you want to burn money. Also for circuit racing I would go a surge tank setup instead of having twin intake pumps. tomei power extrem exhaust with custom downpipe to match the exhaust manifold No, just go custom the whole way. We all know the Japanese exhausts always include silly step downs or restrictors in them so they're "JASMA" certified for noise. 1x or 2x spal fans Don't bother, OEM fan OEM shroud for track use is the best washer tank replaced by oil catch tank + washer Also drain it back to your sump for circuit use, high chance it will fill with big boost & power then you'll suck your sump dry and bin a motor (ask me how I know lol) supertec spline drive with which oil pump ? or nitto sine oil pump ? No, just go Nitto oil pump. Don't muck about with gears that slot into original housing. compression ratio 9.0 ? or should I go a bit lower ? It's not 2002 anymore, high comp, E85 or WMI, with modern ECUs you can accurately tune load cells with precision and run engine protection strategies to keep it together. It's not PowerFC days anymore.
  10. I will contact that boost international guy, seems to have a plate for a GFB boost controller and 52mm gauges.
  11. Ahhh..... 😅 It's just sitting there, if one were to accelerate the car the keypad would fall out LOL. I'm going to buy another astray, snap off the front lid then mount the keypad to the body of the ash tray.
  12. Haltech, good job. Sent me the keypad with the plug wired wrong LOL. Was wondering why my wideband kept dropping out. Anyhow, worked out someone was having a bad day at Haltech.
  13. @r32-25t you'll find quite a few shops will not hook up the brake input, not saying it's right or wrong - just what I've seen. I'll most likely get an I/O expander at some stage so I can run: Brake Input L & R front wheel speed sensors Tyre Pressure Monitoring (maybe) a turbo turbine sensor but I don't really need it as EMAP is giving me what I need to know (maybe) power steering input, however seems like DBW idle control closed loop strategy is decent enough to stop the car stalling on full lock
  14. Here's my current assignment, note I've made an effort to not have any temperature sensors on the SPI inputs (learnt the hard way, a few e-mails back and forth with Haltech support). And this is all I have left to use, pretty much 1x output left for maybe fan control.
  15. The brake input is optional on the Haltech, I personally don't use the brake input. I'll post up my IO assignment tonight, unfortunately using SPI for temperature sensors are not recommended as you lose resolution.
  16. Once you go DBW, you don't look back. Great idle quality, AC doesn't cause idle quality to degrade. The factory air leak valves are so slow to react, with bigger cams your motor is very inefficient at lower RPMs the compressor engaging is enough to stall the motor. Nissan should have used stepper motors like JZs or 4Gs, instead they installed a two slow reacting air leak valves lol.
  17. Used up everyone single DPI, AVI. Even sacrificed the power steering input lol. DBW uses up 4x inputs.
  18. Good points, will rethink how I use the buttons. Might not even have cruise control as I need an IO expander. Used up all the inputs on DBW setup and all the sensors so none left for brake input.
  19. They will so realise how much of a dumb decision it was.. and by then it would have been too late. Not long ago when we were down there, my friends and I were approached by the "GSK" aka Goulburn Sick Kients (no joke)... bogans on bicycles with mullets. Anyhow, asked me to rev the car, I gave them a good dose of dose & anti-lag... they loved it. I suppose that noise must have travelled from Wakefield Park all the way into town. I apologise in advance from 4 years ago.
  20. Clearly the cows, sheep, bin chickens, wild flowers are really upset about the noise. Council, or whoever they are, aren't very smart. Goulburn's livelihood is dependent on track racers such as myself. We would go down there for a weekend, eat/drink hire accommodation buy things at the local shops/Supercheap etc. Not very smart for their economy, good on them for standing up for their rights. Good on ya Gary and Karen.
  21. billet oil pump gears are rubbish, I've gone the extra step. Nitto oil pump bruvvaaa I believe it's stop/start to onboard memory only, same way you would press F6 in NSP.
  22. Probably the following: Rolling AL (because it's very cool at the moment) Launch On/Off Boost Up Boost Down Enable/Disable Cruise Control Set Cruise Control Speed Stop Cruise Control Enable/Disable Logging
